This is like listening to New Order, Echo & the Bunnymen, John Foxx, Gary Numan, Joy division and Bauhaus all at once. I love it.
Also Pop Group 💓
Too kind - cheers! 🙌
Add Talking Heads to that!
I heard this on 6music. It's the most original thing I've heard for a while. Much better than these new bands like squid,,idles, shame etc that are trying to sound qurky and arthouse like bands such as talking heads and King crimson. He achieves that same strangeness without faking it.
You've put it perfectly TheNyc2001.
Thank You bbc6music
Managed to witness your live performances when you came down south.. Having been in Radio for nine years, looking after original music - Loxley's Corner, Actual Radio, you would've been the perfect live candidate. I truly hope that you become as big as you deserve in this industry.. Loxley
Heard this on Radcliffe and Maconie on Saturday morning, my wee ears pricked up and had to stop what I was doing, brilliant
Found Hamish Hawk completely by accident, one of his songs came up when I was listening to something else. I started listening couldn’t stop.
This is music that must be shared tell everybody you know about the genius of Hamish Hawk
I just discovered something great. Best new music. A bit of bowie, smith's, xtc
Wow, UA-cam is getting way better at suggesting music I might like.... Hello Hamish Hawk.
Hello Stewart!
I just heard this on 6 Music. Wow! Tune!! 👍
Absolutely love this track! I remember meeting Hamish (I’m sure he doesn’t remember me, I was just one of many customers) when visiting Assai in Edinburgh and talking music as I was browsing. When I found out he was a musician, I had to check out his songs.
Anyways, this track is brilliant! Best wishes from Colorado Hamish!
Oh deary me, this is absolutely wonderful. Thank heavens for Hamish Hawk. I want his album damnit, and I want it now.
Peace and Love
till today Cure's was the best Catepillar song
Personal shopper by steve wilson vibes here..... both artists are class in their own way
Impossible not to share it. Found you out on BBC6. Just great.
This song live last night in Edinburgh was 💥
Love this video. Ingeniously nuts.
Brilliant, like New Wave all over again in one track.
loving this in my indie Box
It's great when you discover a unique sound. For me in my teens was The Smiths. Almost unheard of in Asutralia on Commerial radio, just by chance listening to JJJ one day. Or The Fall. Or Irish Band Stump. This is another moment like that.
This is ace.
Strangely I live in Edinburgh but it was BBC 6music / Radcliffe and Maconie that brought me here. As a massive Bunnymen fan I thank you, sir. Great stuff. Anyone enjoying this should go listen to 'Calls to Tiree' it will knock yer socks off.
1:20 Yoga with Adriene - eat your bloody heart out.
Yes, but Yoga with Adriene is worth a long look
Top vibes, top tune.
Ooft! 🐛🐛🐛
Love it ! It’s seems I’m back in early 80s
it took a few listens, but i love this song now
Fantastic 😊
Brilliant song and video. Love his voice.
😮❤ justo en este momento di con esta joya de música 💥
Bloody excellent !
Brilliant!!!!!!!
Love this track. It's 'awesome
very cool video ... and so timeless
Nice one!!!, I heard It on 6 Music; greetings from Montevideo-Uruguay.
On 1st listen I thought it was an Echo and the Bunnymen track that had slipped under the radar. very good track.
Lovely stuff! Stumbled across the Album today. Tied with Public Service Broadcastings offering for my album of the year!
Super
Saw you in Edinburgh supporting Simple Minds , LOVE this song .
Lots of fans picked up that night including me.
gods, all that is missing is the smoke machine and the LSD and you've got teh goth world of the 80s/90s (minus the crappy Sisters rip-offs)
Loved it straight from the start (and that's always quite promising), only to love it even more as the song went on, that's a banger, and a great discovery for me -through bbc6- (I just listened to some other songs as well and damn I'm glad I did), I'd only wish to say 'see you at X concert/festival' but that may not happen that soon sadly... Keep up the good work that's fantastic !
Thank you! 👏
I recall having a conversation with Hamish, and how he explained how the universe reflects in many respects our brains. Neurons and stars an' all that... I think?
Seems he took that hypothesis quite literally in this video!
Poor attempts at jest aside.
Very and 'pleasantly' surprised he's diversifying so much with his music.
It's challenging me to get on with my writing, and the the other Godamn issues, which require resolution in my life!
So many excellent artists don't get the attention they deserve; I would have thought this would have had more views.
Very nice track. Greets from Ghent, Belgium
Heard you on Double J in Melbourne last week, great song.
I live it
WTF....... amazing lad
Oooh, I'm first to leave a comment. I know Mr Hamish, although no doubt he'd deny all knowledge... you know what these 'celeb types' are like!
Jests aside, this is quite a good song, and unexpected style. The video has a bit of Talking Heads flavour to it.
Can anyone help with the “chorus” lyrics? Because the rest of the lyrics are so good. This song totally slaps, so dark.
Kill me kill me kill me killer offer me relief
Caterpillar eating all my leaves
Gosh life is a drag (unknown lyrics) my leige
Cater to me as you would Royalty
Is that right?
Kill me, kill me, kill me
Killer, offer me relief Caterpillar eating all my leaves Gosh, life is a drag
Quit yanking my leash
Cater to me
@@jamesalexanderbruce1635 thanks - “leash” makes more sense haha.
Class track.
Uhhhhhh!!! This is going on repeat. Fucking love it. Thank you Wee Sis 🎶🎶
Love you sis 😘
Hawking Heads.
👌👌👌
Wow!!!
forget my last comment I love it because of what it is
The enemy has been defeated. Glory to God 🙏💙
Is this a test?
Niles Crane from Frasier.
Wake up...........................
Recycled rubbish, what have men turned into.. Please put and end to generation x so we can move back to reality.
I'd say you must be a laugh at parties, but you're probably not invited to many.
Totally disagree
Saw him live and puts his sole into his performance, very intense with a good voice.
A refreshing change to most of the crap in the charts
