Hey Guys great to see this episode. Can I suggest you try Airbnb more. I've stayed in some incredible places and some wonderful people's homes for cheap (reasonable) prices. With the advantage being that some people live in the BEST places - like right on the beach, etc. So it can save you dollars and be beneficial as well! You also might find free/cheaper camps back up into the hinterland within the mountains, say an hours drive from the coast. plus it is gorgeous up there too. Worth investigating! Jason, if you're struggling to recoup some of your energy, make sure you are getting enough iron in the diet. Also, eat more tomatoes as the red colouring in tomatoes has the chemical that helps transport iron in your blood. I can't think what the chemical is called. Also, fun fact: freeze bread (difficult in your situation I know) but freezing bread and then toasting it lowers it GI and makes it digest slower giving more energy longer. I would do this with a wholemeal (9grain) bread rather than a white loaf for greater fibre content. Also look for some supplements that ensure your getting enough Multi- vitamins just to be safe! 👋
We have occasionally used Airbnb on our adventures, but sometimes we find they can be the same price as a hotel, but we definitely should use them more, even just to meet new people ☺️ Oh that’s very interesting, didn’t know that!
