Wow!!! First time I ever heard that band and it's really hot! Back in my youth, I wasn't into rock at all, was in punk, alternative and metal in the mid-80's. I discovered Floyd, Hendrix, The Doors and Zeppelin at the end of the 80's but that was it. In the early 2000's, I discovered Jack White (White Stripes at the time) and it gave me the need of knowing a little more about classic rock, but just a little bit. And the pandemic happened. Didn't feel like listening “angry/sad music” while we were on lockdown, in the garden, looking at birds, squirrels and life, so I tried other stuff with the algorithm of UA-cam. Found Suzy Quatro, was impressed, but never one time did UA-cam showed me Cradle! Till today... I'm so glad that I found this amazing band! Ladies, you rock! Two thumbs up! 👍👍
Thank you so much for your comments. It was an amazing era and we were so early as women. Credit to learning our chops with our Detroit Rock City homeboys....Nugent, Alice, glenn frey, MC5, Seger etc....magical era!!! Thanks to our engineer these songs recorded on a two track and saved from a live performance show the raw energy that came out of Detroit....Happy we were able to get them all out on CD and vinyl at Sundazed!!! Rock on!!
You can expect top notch music whenever the Quatro's are involved. They have given us over 50yrs of rock and roll fun! Keep on rockin,J.Deuce RnR ,Toronto Ontario Canada

I'm embarrassed to say this is the 1st time Ive heard of Cradle & earlier today The Pleasure Seekers (aand I grew up during the sixties - born in 49), wow, both bands should've been HUGE!!!! Well I'm gonna have to catch up.
Singer was Nancy Quatro on this. In the Cradle Era we had a double lead singer thing going on....Suzi the more Joplinesque and Nancy the more Robert Plant type voice. Worked well together. One of our fave songs! This was written about Ted Nugent, who Nancy was dating at the time.
I saw them do this live at the Electric Flag in 1972. Chatted up Suzie by the jukebox while they were on break. My brush with fame. The lead singer (Nancy?) arguably had the sexiest tummy ever seen on stage anywhere. Almost forgot. Rumor was the Manson girls were afraid of Cradle.
dustyrusty musty ...seems like the Manson family wouldn’t of been scared of anything but I GET your Point, THIS SONG..... DAMN !. And to add to the Manson reference 8 years ago I met a guy that lives in my neighborhood who LOOKE EXACTLY LIKE CHARLES MANSON. My FIRST thought was HELL! They Really Did Let You Out Of Prison. The guy could of been A CLONE.
I cant believe I am so late discovering this even though I loved the Pleasure Seekers for years. This is one of the best hard rock /heavy psych bands of the 70s !!
Actually we were pretty much 60's and very early 70's. Us and Genya were first signed to labels in 64. Suzi was 14 and Patti was 16 when What a Way to die was released. Then we signed to Mercury next.....and constantly on the road!!!
@@tamuscommunis thank you so much. We were just tooooooo damn early to be accepted by record companies.....scared of girls fallin in love and getting pregnant. drove us nuts actually. was a hard road back then. I owe you so much as a female musician - things have changed but not enough just yet! You guys were the trial blazers who’ve made it possible for us! Briony xx

Born in '71, so I missed the Detroit Rock City glory days, but I love them deeply. Made pilgrimages to both the Eastown and Grande with a friend from the old scene. Frost has been my favorite band from that era, but I think I've found an equal. You girls are great! The Cradle and Pleasure Seekers journey has just begun. Thanks for rocking then, thanks for posting now.
This is really great stuff. Just discovered The Pleasure Seekers tonight(watched "Reach Out" 5+ times) and then started exploring, what a treat this tune is along with all the others I've heard tonight, absolutely great. I have got a lot of catching up to do. Thank you Quatros P.S. I Love You, keep on rocking. Your newest fan, Dennis
First I ever got to hear this one. I played in various rock bands in the flint area. I met Mike at sherwood forest, which was our grande ballroom. He was great too. Talented Family indeed. My whole family sang, all 4 brothers played instruments and once had a band in the late 70's. You girls sure rocked Patti !!! Michigan Music..you get some of the most artistic stuff here..amen
@tdyvideos1 Hi Steve: Thanks so much for the support. The Quatro girls bands played as teenagers, with Ted Nugent, Seger, Alice, MC5, Iggy, all the amazing Detroit bands, and legends, while playing festivals, concerts, and ballrooms. This live performance CD (from glory days of Grande Ballroom, 1970) was digitalized from a two track reel to reel machine, now finally documenting the Cradle days and their original material which was never released until now.
Michigan Music........can't beat it!!!!!! My heart will always be there.......thanks so much for the great comments.....appreciate it!!!! Hope you are still enjoying playing now and then. lol. Rock on!!!
Detroit is where it's at ! I've never been to another city that has more soul in my entire life, I love Detroit! That city has produced some of the world's best music and it's still doing so...
@foureversq Thanks for the support! Your assessment seems to be what many say......ahead of our time when female rockers were supposed to just be vocalists.....go figure!!!! We weren't having it! LOL. Rock on..... Quatros
Ted is one of our more popular requests, written for Ted Nugent!!! Thanks for your support and comments. i'm sure your family helped rock Michigan music too.....What an era!!! xo
wow this is ridiculously good. I was listening to the Fanny album tonight (bought it at a garage sale on Alki Beach, Seattle) and got inspired to research the Quatro Sisters. Of course I was familar with Suzi and vaguely aware of the others in the clan, but had no idea on this aspect. Did they ever play with Nugent on the bill? Poor Ted must have left with his tail between his legs! Steve aka Heathen The Mentors
Gave this another listen tonight. Very much a sixties vibe. And again this is a drummers piece.
welcome to channel and ty. Drummer was Nancy Rogers and she killed it!!!! My nickname for it was "jungle drums"!! lol😜😜

Damn good song ladies. Those drums and guitar riff!!. Kinda funk/rock. Nancy voice kinda reminds me of Ronnie Spector. Great mix for a live recording.
Great song but how the hell could you guys put up with Ted Nugent ? Was he a complete ass back then as well?

Who says girls can't rock. This is as good as Deep Purple or Black Sabbath in the late 60's.

UNFORTUNATELY NOT. Jerry was there tail end before we split up.....
Toss up between this and "In A Gadda Da Vida" for best Psychedelic/Acid Rock song
Ted Nugent was the Amboy Dukes Journey To The Center Of The Mind fame.
You girls rock what year was this recorded ? Thanks Vincent
THANK YOU!! Was recorded in 1975 on a two track tape machine live in concert and rescued to be available for public.
