What a genuine original personality.. so charming and honest, VERY special and amazingly nondestructive for a such a famous person!! Down to earth and feet on the ground!
I was never a big Suzi fan, but I went to a Rock weekend at Butlins in the late 90's and she was one of the line up. I was surprised when she played as she really worked her socks off. I even found myself on the dance floor! I've not seen her being interviewed before but I really admire her now, seems very nice and down to earth. Love her "ego room", what a smart lady.
They broke the mold when Suzi was born, she’s great and no one will ever come close to her talent. Well done Suzi and great success in your new show. 👏🏻👏🏻
I longed to be like Suzi Quatro back in the good old days. In her leather trousers and big guitar, she was fantastic and still is. Her duet with Chris Norman 💖Stumblin’in is one of my all time favourites.
@@paulsawtell3991 Music is an art and takes many different forms. I happen to think, along with many other people, that Suzi Quatro sang some great songs. There are other pop stars and groups that I think sang some great songs too. FYI, I also play classical piano including Beethoven and Chopin. They wrote some great music too. I particularly love Chopin. It's all about personal, individual taste and we are all entitled to enjoy whatever music we like.
Suzi is standing it well. Not many like her . She was a pioneer for genuine front women that the likes of Debbie Harry followed. An Elvis fan an a Catholic as well I believe. She sings a great Elvis tribute song, singing with angels.
Wow! This was a trip down memory lane seeing her again. I remember when I worked in the Electricity board shop in Chelmsford Essex back in 1990. She used to stroll in, pay her bill, and buy some vacuum cleaner bags from me. As a 17 year old, I was in awe of that sweet and sexy little rocking lady. Thank you youtube for sending me this notification!
They loved you in Oz too Suzi. We emigrated in 74 to Perth WA and I remember supping on a Chocolate Thick Shake from Perth Central Bus station and "The Wild One" was playing on a PA (Probably 6KY when it was the rock channel) and everyone joining in singing it. Aaaah youth... We definitely grew up in the best times. My (youngest) 24 year old daughter doesn't even want to go out of the house..
Loved this TP Nigel 👏...Suzi is great, I've been a fan of hers since I was young, she was so different from the other female musicians at that time...a true trailblazer 👍
When I was 14 yrs old I was in the audience on an ITV show called Revolver, hosted by Peter Cook, Suzi was on stage about 10 feet in front of us and it completely blew me away, WOW
I'm glad she has managed to remain humble, I'd be arrogant as hell. Its not often you can be that bright of a light, with out eventually burning right out. Good on her!
@patrons of freedom No New Zealand and it was back in ‘73 or 74, early days for Suzi and I’ve never forgotten been a fan of her since. ChCh Town Hall went down in the big earthquake not being rebuilt sadly.
I was 11 when I heard the album Can-th-Can. It was a revelation to me; the sort of music that made me want to go out and break something. Thanks for the memories!
@@spanishpeaches2930 oh don't start me off. First album I brought Parallel lines. Sat staring at the cover many a night. The chaps were cool but managed to blurr them out.

It's pop music, you need 'merit''!!
Suzi is an absolute legend and should be an inspiration for young girls and women to look up , Not your Katie prices of the world.

I remember going to watch Suzi Quatro at the “Cricketers” in Westcliff on Sea in 1974/5. She was one hell of an act and really played to the crowd.
They broke the mold when Suzi was born, she’s great and no one will ever come close to her talent. Well done Suzi and great success in your new show. 👏🏻👏🏻
What i love is her humility, and character. A loving heart and soul. a really beautiful person inside and out.

A huge talent and a huge Elvis fan, that'll do for me.
What a lovely lady! Love the stuff she said about ego, brilliant outlook.
Some great songs that still sound good today!
Oh come on, pop songs are not 'great' at all. You may enjoy them but great music they certainly are not.

Early 70s was a great time for music in UK, Suzi was a part of it all. BRAVO

Wonderful interview and great to hear she's kept her accent 👍
Nigel, you were very blessed to have spent some time with the Godmother of pub Rock'n'Roll. All hail the Quatro.

Saw her as bottom of the bill in the early seventies. Slade / Thin Lizzy / Suzi. Superb.

When I was 16, Suzi Quatro was responsible for a considerable amount of trouser trouble!
🤣
I was gonna say that. Probably not so eloquently. Nice one.
Being a little younger I had to wait until Debbie Harry to have similar problems. : )
Gen X here, unfortunately no bugger about for my formative years but I completely get Suzi and Debbie.. 😍
