The Pleasure Seekers played a dance at our high school in Detroit, 1968. My friend Rick dated the drummer. He tried to set me up with Suzi- didn't work out.
I can just picture a detroit night at the hideout in 1965. Its packed to the rafters and the pleasure seekers ripping through Kim westons take me in your arms. At 7.37 suzi is in full flight sensational!
It was a sweat box.....jammmed with kids......On a dare we did 3 songs (only 3 we knew).....Latin Lupe de Lupe, Long Tall Texan and 1 other. Girls ready to laugh, pulling their boyfriends away from the stage front. Loved seeing their mouths hanging open when we actually pulled it off!!!!! Hilarious to the max!!!

The whole time my sister has been a Huge fan of Suzie I never knew she had sisters who played music because all I ever heard from my sister Mary Valenzisi from Australia was Suzie Quatro same goes as my dad Michele I took my dad to meet Suzie after hearing her songs for 30

Who knows where they could have gone, they had limited local success, & did appear on a major label? They were the 1st girl band to actually achieve minor success. This was before The Runaways, The Go-Gos, The Bangles, The Donnas, etc.
Enjoyed it ,I was lucky enough to live it me and Suzi Q. Are the same age and I never grew out of my crush😆 Just wish she would come back to Toronto sometime.
Always the question.....had we not been too ahead of what was accepted in the era. Women did NOT rock guitars.....but we did not do gender!!! lol. Suits scared to sign us and other male bands were incredibly supportive!!!!
That Bass solo is Crazy good . I showed it to my roommate and she was in Amazement . She now loves Suzi ... she didn't know her before that . I'm older , and I grew up with Suzi , but had no idea about the sister band.. even though MY older sister had a Album by them, that I used to look at when she wasn't around. I wasn't allowed to touch her stuff !🤣 being 5 years younger and a bonafide brat ! 😝 I use to get into her Albums when she would leave, just to stare at the covers . Great Memories. Guys, this is really cool, good stuff!!! Haven't watched it until today, though I'm a longtime listener to Suzi Quatro. Greetings from a brazilian fan!!! :-)
I saw Suzy with two of her sisters, Patti and Nancy, perform at a bowling alley in Dubuque, Iowa, around 1970 in a band called, Cradle. They were fantastic! The crowd loved ‘em! They could play rings around many of the male bands at that time, and sang better, too! Also, check out another all-female band called, FANNY on You Tube. They had the musical chops to blow just about anybody off the stage! Hey, David Bowie liked ‘em!
LOVED the creating we experienced in Cradle. TY and glad you enjoyed us!!! I was blessed to be in the PS, Cradle (sister bands) and then ALSO in FANNY. (Documentary out now, 2021). And Yes, Bowie came to gigs, and actually gave us ideas on costuming!!! His advice......always make an entrance.....which he did in spades. lol.
