Also as the owner of an old 1840 that needs work I really appreciate you sharing your repair videos.
I have an old 1845C. The list of problems is endless. #1 on list is hydraulics (lift and tilt) will vibrate as I lift. Is this due to water or air in the hydraulic lines ? Will giving the hydraulic fluid (10W30) eliminate this. Engine and hyd pump runs great.... The controls are just wonky.
Liked this video. Gives me more confidence take on some of these maintenance projects.

If you guys think this 1840 is/was a basket case then I suggest you try what I did.. I bought & rebuilt where I could a much older CASE 1537 Uniloader/skid steer! It was a labor of love & hate all at the same time.. I enjoying keeping myself as busy as I can as Im now an old man and disabled to boot as I was crushed by a skid steer loaders loader (Bad control cable..) Anyhow, loved the video here and yes a torch would have helped a lot but it also would have heated the metal up severely which sometimes weakens it so I Kudos on taking the harder approach to free up the stuck pins. Greasing a machine is such a necessity yet few seem to take the time to do it! This is why most newer autos don't have many if any zerk fittings nowadays, IMHO.Sad really. BTW, how weird/Funny is it that I am the second person to comment yet I share/have the same name as your first commenter!! WOW. GOOD JOB TOO!
I just bought a 1840 sight unseen from a dealer (pics and video) once received i noticed no zerks where greased (how service techs get by with not greasing this I don't understand) my pins where functional but looked like they have been Jerry rigged so greased all zerks even replaced a few I ordered the Latch rebuild kits from another company now I seen you do it I what is required. I will be doing a general service and inspection once I get all the parts in otherwise it runs great very simplistic and I got service and schematic manuals for it too
