Good news, I was offered a partial refund which I accepted. The supplier who is to stay nameless advised they will make quality improvements. Could be empty promises?

Always the case when you invest in pattern parts especially if they are not made exactly to the specifications as genuine parts🇬🇧🇮🇪.

    Nice job!
Being a field mechanic, it has saved my skin a 100 times keeping old parts UNTIL the job is done. To get something going again when the new parts aren't exact or wrong is a must on customer equipment.
I realize this is your own and take pride in it, as i do with my projects. I think you made a fair compromise and had a good result.

Hey Fixed-ish thanks for commenting again. Do you do service calls on equipment in the field? I can’t imagine not having my full shop at my disposal.

@@MikefromMissouri yessir! Been at it 11 years and work on all kinds of different things in the field and occasionally in the shop. Worked on many case 1840 and 1845's
I post quite a bit on my channel of the different stuff I fix at work and personal projects if you'd like to see.
Pretty jealous of your set-up in your shop, honestly. I've got a nice work space at home but not nearly as outfitted as you. Gives me some inspiration and ideas though!

@@Fixed-ish Very Cool! I’m new to skid steers but have lots of vehicle repair experience and I am a self taught machinist. I’m a bit of a perfectionist so I knew when I bought a skid I would go overboard on fixing it so I held out on a model worth the time and effort.
I plan to check out your channel. I can tell you, regarding my shop and machines, it has taken me 20 years to build up. I kept trading up when the opportunity and funds allowed. I’ve come to realize no matter how much you get someone else will always have more. I just can’t believe the equipment diesel creek gets involved with and I am so jealous of anyone with timbered acreage. I try to remind myself to be thankful for what I have.

@@MikefromMissouri his stuff is pretty good. Between him and adept ape, they are the reasons I started doing the youtube thing. It's fun documenting my trials and a good outlet for me. Lofty goal is to afford myself the ability to get into deep projects and throw some money at tooling/ refurb projects. In the meantime I figure why not document the journey?

Man I hope it’s worth all this effort. I am enjoying the process though.
