The stagger talents always confused me despite having maxed out all the characters levels already. Most people I asked seemed just as confused or unsure about them. Bless you for explaining them.
Yeah, also i extremely confused when i beginner. Some player pinging and tell me to pick up the grim (i didn't know what it do) so i pick it, then inspect it like "wtf is this" i pressed my mouse and it disappear lol XD feel bad for the guy back then
8:18 no that's a mod you're using, on vanilla you don't know if people are at death door or not appart from asking or paying attention. 17:00 strength potions also give armor piercing to all your melee attacks (much more useful to know than the shield breaking part as this means you can then spam light attack in packs of stormvermins or chaos warriors and still kill them)
if you really want to split hairs you can also look at the health bar which is completely white after someone goes down. Fairly easy to tell. Same basic area to look.
haha, I'm a recent returning player (after 2-3year break), and I started following both you and jtcLIVE, so I'm happy to see you two collab! Still learned a thing or two! thanks!
Think that the main thing I notice when playing with new players (barring them getting the "feel" of blocking and dodging) is the fundamental thing they miss... which is this is a MELEE focused game with some ranged, and not a ranged focused game that happens to have melee weapons... and this can linger a long time, only a couple of days ago I picked up / revived an Elf player Twelve times who thought it was their job to hang back and twang away with a bow... No, your ranged job, is to kill specials... for everything else draw your blade and get stuck in...
It does yea. I should have mentioned that, but another good way to know is just look at the hp and if it's all white then you know they have a wound as well.
What I didn’t understand as a beginner was why, when I played my first mission with all bots for half an hour, they all just stood around while a Skaven assassin jumped on my back and murdered me while there was nothing I could do to stop them and I got no experience or gear or anything. It was not a good first experience.
i jumped into quick play , not even seen the game , just black screen with me being dead , 3 seconds later , defeat ... just a fun way to start :D yeah i checked the box to not hump into games alredy in progress afterwards. but i was like .. huh? okay... fun game indeed xD
"When should I use my potion? ... This is a loaded question ... it depends on the circumstances" Well yeah of course it does lmfao, thats what you're being asked about.
characteristics of weapons are kinda worthless. For example flail is said to ignore shield but that's iirc only on the overheads. If someone were to try to fight a bunch of SV shields with light 1/2, it wouldn't work.
There is a "secret level" if you own the Back to Ubersreik DLC. It's Fortunes of War. You have to find a rune in each of the BtU levels. 3 in total, to unlock it. But beating that one is a different story. It's probably the biggest challenge in the game right now. So if you're still new to the game, don't worry about it.
There's no reason to farm books on Veteran, right? Sure your chests will give you more blues/oranges, but all you're really playing Veteran for is to grind to 300 gear, no?
The most important thing to know is that these stairs go up!
Just heard that voice line for the first time yesterday. Very nice

Thanks for having me on this!
Of course. You make great stuff dude. Cheers.
It used to confuse the hell out of me why people chose ignore healing items to pick up tomes and (even worse) grims.

0:08 LMAO WHAT IS A HUNTSMAN 😭😭🤣🤣🤣🤣

the mod is Numeric UI
I wish this video existed when I started out. Great Job.
Thanks :)
JT forgot to mention that the speed potion also makes you reload faster. Aside from that, great video from you two.
Thanks!

Still learned a thing or two! thanks!
Sure thing! And welcome back to v2.
btw the skull icon next to someones name (that indicates wounds) requires the Numeric UI mod
Why am i watching this, i have 300h.
Nice Video! :D
Thanks :)
That clip at the very end, lol

Nice vid, I think having the skull when you have a wound requires a mod.

@@WetMagic the opposite might not be true though, some abilities give green health even with wounds
correct, the mod is Numeric UI
8:44 what do you mean by “clear both wounds?”
It will ungrey both people meaning if they go down again they will not instantly die.
@@WetMagic oh. So even if you’re not healing yourself, you’ll clear your own wounds if you heal another person?
@@cohortConnor yes
I bought the game recently and this was a very helpful video.
a revised edition should mention the elites and specials +bosses/lords to be an "ultimate" guiede but very good work on this =)

And most importantly? Gangway.
I'm pretty sure that skull isn't there unless you install the UI changing mod. Which could also use a tutorial, really.

Is there something I must unlock? some secret level or else that a normal player would miss?

Is this vid still relevant anyone please? A lot can change in a year 😊
???? didn't have a clue what you were talking about as a complete beginner. This more of a intermediate guide but thanks anyway
Either memorize it or come back a few ingame hours later, I'm so glad I found this video before my first 30h
