    I am also from the UK and even I'm struggling to understand you because you speak so fast. Is it possible for you to slow down please, because there is so much great information in this video! 😃

      If it's helpful, there is a settings area on the video where you can change the playback speed in order to slow it down or speed it up. This might do the trick!

      Hi! Thank you for watching and the feedback. I sometimes worry I'll waffle or drone on, so end up speaking fast! I will keep this in mind for future filming and slow down 🙈 Glad you found the info in the video useful 💚

      Hi, thanks for sharing. I often use this and watching at a slightly higher speed but good to slow it down a little too. I'll try not to rush with future filming and slow down a bit! 😊

      Thank you! I''ll be trying with some different things, plants and seeds, so maybe a bit of a series. I'll have new vids on it throughout the year. Looking forward to seeing how the lights work. 🌱

    I've been using the "cheap" bulbs shown for about 2 years. Spoilers: they work fine, I would suggest using more than one if you have a large area (larger than the average night stand top surface), as they are not the brightest. Some have lasted longer than others so expect to replace one every year.
    Normal LED lights, in the cold/daylight range (4000-6000K) work just as well as grow lights for house plants. I've noticed some minor differences with specific plants as to what they prefer, but everything under those (including succulents) are doing well. I'm even growing rosemary indoors under a normal light for over a year, just fine.
    There seems to be a lot of dishonest anti-science marketing for very overpriced grow lights, that seem only unique for their appearance. I'm glad you and some others have been speaking up on the subject of price and results!

      Thanks for watching and taking the time to share, this is really good to know. Glad you've found those LEDs work OK. I think that is one of the downsides re brightness but as you say, it depends on the area and amount of lights you have/want, so the set up can be adjusted as needed.
      I thought that would be the case with standard LEDs, particularly for green plants (and therefore most houseplants). It will be interesting to see some things growing under each of the bulbs and see how/if they differ and if it is significant or not. That's impressive to have rosemary indoors with a bulb, they love sun! So the bulb must be keeping it happy 🌱

      @@growyourwellbeing There's a learning curve. Cutting is very important, so I recommend bonsai tutorials for indoor pruning.
      The species I have does not like heat. It lost a lot of new growrh over the Summer. It also seems to do better when temperartures are on the cooler side.
      This and the sage want to be watered a lot more than you'd think. Water as soon as the soil is dry, dont let it sit in dry conditions too long.
      My guess is that a cliff side or mountainy area in the Northern Mediterrainian would have been its proper environment.

      @growyourwellbeing  Рік тому

      That's interesting! You would expect them to be in drier conditions if they were in the Med but as you say they are thirstier plants thant expected. I wouldn't have thought about cutting/trimming it through. I suppose that prompts new growth and bushier plants? At least you can use the herbs as you prune.

      @@growyourwellbeing my logic is that they should be shaped to help conserve energy, which seems to be correct. I also learned that you cant let the new growth become compact along the stem, or allow it to grow inward or point away from the top. It's almost like how you would layer a fruit tree.
