That’s literally what AEW just did. They proved that they are the clowns that Punk said they were. Tony out here acting like a jilted ex boyfriend. Punk seems to have drama no matter where he goes, so hes no Angel here, but AEW did themselves no favors by airing that footage.

Sometimes I get frustrated with Corny being stuck in the past, but in my opinion, this is not a case of that. I do think Punk and Perry would get suspended in today's WWE but not particularly long, and H would give them both a sincere "do you guys want to work here?" talk, but for serious... My only issue with Punk is that Perry isn't worth it and yet I fully get why he did it.

I’ll say once and I’ll say it again, AEW sparked my love for wrestling again but the past 2 and half years have been a slog to watch. I went to two shows in Vegas last year and both were alright at best.

I think the footage they used is not AEW property, it belongs to Wembley stadium and pethaps showing it caused some legal issues. Perhaps the firing is just legal terms for " we dont want him to say he quit, so lets say he was fired"

If they wanted to fire Punk for assaulting a co-worker, that's within their rights to do. That is ultimately what happened, whether it was in a bank or not. The part I find funny is just how the people who hate Punk are pretending this was some unhinged, unprecedented violent backstage attack. Punk shoved the guy a couple of times and put him in a choke for a few seconds before being pulled apart, then angrily pointed at Tony and walked away. This wasn't even the first ever backstage fight at AEW - Sammy Guevara has gotten into it with a couple of guys. He hasn't been fired.
If they had any leadership in the locker room, they would've squashed things before they exploded and gone on to use the heat to make money. Christ, according to Punk he even ASKED Tony to do something about it.

They might of manage to get hold of it for disciplinary purposes also I might be wrong, but in the UK it's illegal to use CCTV footage for entertainment purposes.
