Saw it coming but it didn't feel flat. I'm really at the point where I don't pay much attention to Cornette's opinions. Not against valid criticism, but he just seems to like to be negative and some of the things he says are WAY out of pocket.

Why are you glad? This reminds me of when Ric Flair was WCW champion when it meant nothing to be WCW champion. I’m glad these guys make money at AEW, but let’s not act like the AEW title is on par with the WWE title. It’s not even up there w TNA or NWA imo.

Everyone and their mother knew Adam Cole was the devil. But I’m glad that Samoa Joe is AEW World Champion, Hopefully he has a good reign with the belt. I think it was reported that MJF was gonna be out for a while like 6 months to a year so unfortunately we will have to wait to see what will pan out between him and Cole

AEW has been a great social experiment of what happens when fans get to book a show the way they want. There is an art to knowing how to build an angle and a story that goes beyond dream matches and "putting a guy over to hear the pop."
I wouldn't even say "fans"... More like what happens when a show is booked by a spoilt rich kid that's never been told no in his life who believes everything he does is great because his surrounded by yes men or people milking him for his money

Yay, more Jim! I am an older guy who mostly agrees with Jim and I only really watch 10-15 matches a year. None of these I watched, I just like to see someone in the middle of the old wrestling and new wrestling reacting to Jim. He can even be over the top for me, but he has some good points and is a funny man. Keep up the good work!
The way Cornette makes his points, I don’t always agree with but he almost always speaks facts and I tend to agree with him quite often

Adam Cole was obvious. The main issue I have is that they’re running back the same thing with wardlow that they already did with MJF where he’s supposed to give the title to whoever he’s a grunt for. Why would he fall back into that if he turned on MJF to go babyface over that kinda same thing.

AEW has killed my ability to care about factions, cause there's a reason why NWO, Nation of Domination & DX are the only 3 top factions of the Attitude Era, it's because there can only be few factions that people actually care about...

The problem with MJF is that he's Moriarty without his Sherlock. Since CM Punk left to WWE, MJF's been scrapping around with mediocre talent, with the exception of Swerve Strickland.
I think Mark Briscoe has the potential to be a popular babyface character in AEW, as of this moment I'm so over MJF playing a forced babyface. Everyone from the AEW diehards, even Cornette likes Briscoe, and he stands out with his look, wrestling, personality and solid promo ability.
Tony buries the true talent and turns them into jobbers. Jay Lethal is excellent and has a great personality and he's a jobber too. Tony pushes the small, skinny dudes, like himself. He's living vicariously through Orange Cassidy, Hook, Darby, Jay White, etc.
Imagine what a pushed face Briscoe and heel MJF program/promos would have been. But I guess jobbing Briscoe and face MJF doing kangaroo kicks while talking about friendship or whatever is an option too...
I agree with your reveal idea. Cause MJF has the ability to sell how shocked, confused, and betrayed he feels so doing less really would’ve done more.

I heard this from someone but Adam became what he left WWE for. He's now technically a leader and sort of a manager now. Its ironic. Also Booker T was talking about how small Adam Cole is awhile back and how he should buff up and now were here. From what I remember atleast.

The wardlow situation makes sense with his mjf issues, he more than likely joined for that and once he gets the belt he won't drop it to Cole like Cole said he would, I think wardlow is using them to get the belt. Then again it's Tony kahn booking so that probably won't happen.
Adam Cole went from potentially being a manager in WWE to being a manager for a group of jobbers. “Oh but he’s injured, what else do you expect him to do?” I expect him to not be apart of this garbage. Adam Cole who is injured turned on MJF who is also injured, this feud can’t even progress because both parties can’t even wrestle. But in TK’s eyes, everything is “great” because they’ve been on a “great run” since September because they had a “big show” at Wembly. As if Everything they did in September has anything to do with January of 2024.

Samoa Joe being a World Heavyweight Champion is a long time coming. To everyone who considers the NXT championship a world title I don't. The NXT is a developmental title, not a world title. Adam Cole as the devil was completely obvious. The promo Cole did at the start of Dynamite was gold. I loved Joe's promo, However, that should've been done in the ring. While Joe is talking, you could've had all his new top contenders come out and pled their case of being the next in line for a title shot.
NXT is more of a divisional title. Like a "X" in TNA or a "Intercontinental" in AEW or NJPW US.
NXT has more legacy than AEW if you consider that a world title then NXT for sure is. i stopped reading didnt even bother to finish your post

Honestly I thought the devil was cowboy james storm, it wasn't until the masked men revealed as the kingdom winning the ROH tag titles it was obvious that it was Adam Cole
I would have thought the people with the devil. Or Adam Cole would have been undisputed. Kyle and Bobby. Didn’t know that Wardlow and Roderick were two of them. And the other two. Not to familiar with them sorry. Not an active AEW viewer. But I do watch Adam Cole on Twitch so thats how I checked it out and wasn’t as big as a shock that he was the devil.

Here how you fix the story. instead of the lights going out just have the kingdom run out pretend like they’re going to attack Cole and mjf. They do they hit me spot then the kingdom hands Cole the chair and he hits mjf. Write mjf off for a while then when Cole comes back push him have him get a shot at the title. During the match bump the ref light off the devil in the ring attacks Cole then unmasked. Now you do mjf vs Cole
Ross, you’re hopeful to think that AEW will make it till the end of 2024. Eventually Tony’s dad has to put his foot down.

Wardlow one of AEW’s biggest flops
Worst AEW ppv ever. Best match was killed with over booking and Edge left as the Daniel Brian of WWE heavyweight champion of AEW. Instead of not grabbing the ring in time, Adam should've pulled out the Devil mask and MJF just allow Joe put the sleeper on with no fight as he stares at Adam in confusion and heartbreak.

It's possible, mainly because if you look at the roster from the AEW website, MJF isn't there
If I was booking the show there is a lot of things I would change about the show to make it better.
Firstly if Swerve wasn’t going to wrestle Samoa Joe it would have been cool to have maybe Swerve be present on the Eight Man Tag Team match for the Continental Classic with Swerve speaking about Keith Lee helping to push the feud even more for Keith’s return.
Adam Copeland and Christian Cage’s ending should’ve been different maybe with Christian retaining and even beginning to show the cracks in the relationship between KILLSWITCH and Christian Cage.
Darby Allin should have participated in the Battle Royal and should have won the whole contest setting himself up for another title match with Christian Cage.
Jon Moxley vs Eddie Kingston was an absolute masterpiece that match still stands as one of my favorite matches this year with Kingston becoming the first ever Continental Crown winner in AEW history becoming a Triple Crown champion.
MJF vs Samoa Joe should have had Maxwell retaining the AEW World Title instead of dropping the title to Samoa Joe,Adam Cole could have turned heel after the match with it being revealed that Cole was The Devil standing alongside Roderick Strong and The Kingdom.
The only thing that would of made it kool is if the devil was punk. Aew has gotten so boring since punk left

You know listening to most of the critics you would think AEW is the most awful thing you've ever seen but it's not. Watching on television it's like night and day. AEW is not dying at all though its not at it's best, in my opinion

Maybe if you watch the show every week you’ll understand the story a little bit more of these characters has been book the matches, The vignettes, the comedy Skits all of that the Point was to make MJF Sooo damn Weak to the point where he loses everything MJF and Adam Cole injuries did hurt a little but it worked and it made soooo much sense Story Wise🤷🏾♂️
