Carved Oud goes in a slightly sweeter, more soapy candied direction. Kredo has a fruitier, apricoty sweetness with noticeable suede. Carved Oud is closer to OW to my nose, and smells more like a brother fragrance to OW. Whereas Kredo is very well composed, but smells more like a close cousin of OW.
Great review, I'll have to get a sample. I just received a sample of Afrika-Olifant and ordered a bottle from Jomashop. Going into summer, I won't be using it now but look forward to giving it a good wear as soon as it gets cooler. Oh and same with my bottle of Pachuli Kozha, the cap isn't as snug as the rest of my Nishanes. All of my others are 100 mls, do you think it could be common with the 50 ml bottles?
It is just a spectacular fragrance if you are a fan of that Oud Woood style. Man, you and I are like living parallel lives as far as fragrance choices. Afrika Olifant is another masterpiece. I personally don't find it as terrifyingly animalic as lots of people seem to think - just a strong, leathery incense with touches of some animalic bite in the background. I honestly find that both work well at night in the summer. Seasonal suitability is becoming less and less relevant to me over the years, especially when I consider that the darkest and heaviest scents originate and are frequently worn in one of the hottest regions of the world. Also here in Spain, I find myself not being annoyed by sweet scents even in the hot summer. But I admit they do shine in the cooler weather, so this weekend I'll be wearing them both because it's unseasonably chilly here right now. Unutamam is terrifying though Regarding the bottle cap, I think it's just my bottle. I have sampled the 50ml bottles many times from many stores and the cap has always been snug
@@realscentreview I agree with you about seasonal wears. I'm retired so I don't have to worry about disturbing office noses and with air conditioning here in Ohio, I wear what I want. I've had the same thoughts about wearing strong sweet scents originating from hot regions. I haven't researched Unutamam, I'll definitely have to look that one up! I just received work Afrika-Olifant just shipped, can't wait to get my nose on that!
@@realscentreview I received my bottle of Kredo, and wow, it's absolutely stunning. We're having a spell of wet cool weather here in Ohio and I'm wearing Kredo today. It's so comforting and cozy. Oh, and I ordered a Nishane sample of Unutamam. The opening is a bit startling, extremely pungent. Once the amber and the caramel start to come through, it becomes more enjoyable. If the opening had a touch of honey to maybe balance the mix... I'll have to think about pulling the trigger on that one! Again, my thanks for the recommendation!
@@ohfour-seven6228 Perfect wearing weather for Kredo! I concur regarding Unutamam. I also get a heavy dose of black licorice in the front. Full review coming tomorrow or Saturday. Can't wait to rock the Cuoium by Orto Parisi this weekend

@@adriatics.3357 At night 100%. Might be a bit heavy for blazing sunshine and 35+ degree heat though. But yeah, it isn't out of place where I live and the nights aren't what I'd call cool right now.
My favorite nishane, thanks for the review
Excellent choice! Thank you!
On my 2nd bottle, the drydown on Kredo is addicting
@@goricaj1 I unequivocally concur
Thanks for the review, how does it compare to Thameen Carved Oud scent wise which is already praised as a better TF OW alternative?

This one is a winner

Can you pull this on a summer day with 2 sprays ? Or is it unbearable for hot days?

Somebody said it smells fecal and now I'm too afraid to order it. Is it true?

I just got this one, and it’s nice, but I don’t find it strong at all. Pretty disappointing to be honest.
