It would have been nice to see where each venue is in relation to others...more of a true walk-through as opposed to just snippets of each venue/location.
Just got home from a 5 day cruise to the Bahamas on the Sunrise! Ship, crew, and food were fantastic! The amount of rude, disrespectful, entitled fellow ship guests, made my first cruise experience very disappointing!!! My heart goes out to the crew members who had to put up with this bunch. Btw, We sailed out of the port of miami. Once again, hats off to the wonderful crew who were very professional,accommodating and aways polite, and smiling...

The one thing I'm noticing is that Carnival is toning down the "Kitchy" decor of before to something more elegant looking on these revamped ships. The ship looks very nice. Enjoyed the tour!
Hi The River Pirate 13, going back to the launch of the Carnival Breeze (2012), and all new and some refurbished ships since, have taken on a more contemporary palate of colors and designs. Carnival's Mardi Gras coming next year will take this even further.

I was on this ship in 2008, at the time, I couldn't say that the upkeep of the ship was all that great. Smelled like sewage when people flushed the toilets, the toilets weren't working at port when we were leaving. I'm glad to see they renovated it. I wouldn't mind going back on that ship.

Tony B yo good luck, service sucks, they barley clean, in the drill at the begging it is very unorganized, I went on it like it took me 10 minutes to find the station and when I got there I was waiting for like 20 min to get in.. my waiter was honestly trash, she kept giving us water when we didn’t ask pretty much forcing us to drink it and food wasn’t that good either... The pool is salt water, honestly just disgusting... and the buffet sucks and I recommend the guys burger tho... just go on a Disney cruise. (When you walk through the Casino it smells bad)
I went in it in July this past summer. My family and I had an amazing time. The people who worked on their were so nice and make you feel like family. The food was very good too. I honestly didn't want to get off.

Hi Elissa, July 2021 cruises are still open for booking, but unless things get moving very soon, it's likely we'll see July cruise cancelled in the next 2 weeks. Carnival is offering guests on July sailings to extend making final payment until May 31st. The good news is that if canceled, you'll receive a refund for what you paid and/or perhaps an extra OBC if you move to a future date.

I highly recommend carnival sunrise I went with me family on November 2 to the Bahamas and the people in the ship are very awesome we tipped Are room service cleaner $ 30 because how great he was and are room was 1274 on deck 1 shout out to my boy ald

Very, very nice remodel job, Carnival toned down the nasty browns, reds and yellow that inundated the entire ship; including the cabins. I don't think that anyone will make a connection to the prior name or to it's unusual nickname.-Great job, Carnival.

Hi Chris! My wife and I were on the Carnival Triumph in 2001 for our first cruise together. We booked the Sunrise (nee Triumph) on November 1, 2021 to celebrate 20 years of cruising together on the same ship.. Then we decided to "lift and shift" it to February, 2022 due to mask protocols.. (we're vaxxed and boosted).. and they changed the itinerary to Bahamas.. Apparently, other people didn't like it either, because the price dropped precipitously.. so.. we kept the February booking and rebooked November in a wraparound aft balcony for $215! For that price, we'll bring some masks... Anyway, do you like the new Sunrise as compared to the old Triumph (yes, of poop cruise infamy), and what are your favorite food options? We booked Cucina del Capitano on my birthday.. I'm hoping there's something new and creative there.. Also, we're looking forward to Guy's Burgers, Pig and Anchor, Lucky Bowl and Blue Iguana (my wife loves Arepas)... Thinking we might not eat at the buffet at all.. is that a mistake. Thanks!
Hi Ari, there is some ridiculous pricing happening right now. Glad you could take advantage of it. The transformation of Triumph into Sunrise was so apparently in every area of the ship including staterooms. The only spots that looked "original" are the balconies and lower exterior promenade area. With all the other amazing choices, there's no reason to go to the buffet at all. Honestly, these days I tend to never go to the buffets onboard or even main dining rooms (except for breakfast or a special lunch). Don't miss Carnival's Seaday Brunch!

I don’t understand the room descriptions .. the are awesome by the way , but I cannot afford a captains suite and when I provisionally book on line for 5 people it offers me an ocean view room , so I’m assuming there must be upper bunks etc that you have not mentioned to accommodate .. any advise would be great .. thanks
Hi Shaz Shaz, thanks for watching. An Ocean View room for 5 will typically offer the two lowers that convert to queen, convertible sofa and two upper bunks or double convertible sofa and trundle. It will be tight, but it's possible.

I sailed on the Carnival Triumph in 2000.. is there a video showing the improvements on the refurbished Sunrise, compared to the former Triumph?
Hi Ari, thank for watching. I did a video like that for some other ships, but I did not have enough recent footage from Triumph to do it properly. I can tell you having been on Carnival Sunrise twice, virtually everything on the ship is new, including fully refurbished staterooms.

The triumph was our first ship we sailed on. Wow it has changed! Sad the name changed.

I am sailing Dec28th and I heard you have to pay for Lobster now? If so I will be very disappointed. I was one cruise away from being platinum but now it seems like it’s many cruises away...Did they change the points?
Hi William, lobster was not available on the included menu in the dining room while I was onboard a few weeks ago. Food options were still great though. VIFP points requirements have not changed, at least recently. Still 75 points (days) to reach Platinum. On the last major reshuffle, I was one cruise away from my next tier, it has taken me years to make up the diference and I will finally get there next year.

Hi Felisha, thanks for watching. You are correct, they overlook the exterior walkway, but you still get a view and natural light.
are the slides actually over 200 ft? (to give you a perspective, the Splash Mountain drop is 50 ft)
Hi Theresa, thanks for watching. Details on the length of the slides are directly from Carnival, but they have quite a few turns and start on Deck 14 and end on Deck 10. It's also a good walk to go back up to the top from the bottom.
