I’m about to get a new 2.0 4” 15 rnd flat trigger version with 2 extra 23 rnd mags and night sights for 550 before tax, took me forever to decide on what I wanted and hopefully I like it once I get to the range. Definitely gonna be better than that ec9 I have😂😂😂
Absolutely love that your one of the few people on UA-cam who stand by the XD just because it’s not a Glock doesn’t mean it’s not good. Love the content you put out it’s always fire and straight to the point.
Miss my xd subcompact i put a little over 1500 rounds through it without a flaw i sold it to my dad an hes put roughly 2 thousand without a flaw Xd handguns are great my favorite is the xds 2.0
Thanks for the comparison! One thing in favor of the Springfield, They all have that bit of stand off under the barrel in the front. That allows for a contact shot.
I had the SA XDm .40 S&W 4.5" and .45 ACP 4.5". They were both flawlessly reliable and highly accurate, with great fit & finish. However, I didn't care for their benign mushy feeling triggers. Ultimately, I shot my counterpart Glock pistols better, so I sold off my two XDm pistols. After shooting, owning, and carrying Glocks for almost 10 years, I migrated over to the superior S&W M&P M2.0 system. Among the many things I prefer about the M&P M2.0 pistols over Glock pistols is for me, the M&P is easier to shoot well, and the M&P doesn't scream out nearly as much for upgrades. I also love that the S&W M&P is made here in America by American labor and an iconic American firearms manufacturer. Good things! 👍
Just picked up a sd9 subcompact mod 2 today for 330 used out the door went to range with 100 rounds of American gunner 115 grain and 50 rounds of sig v crown 115 grain my carry ammo love this gun soooo much very manageable very accurate .mine says grip zone on the grip lol
Love my M&P9 2.0 subcompact! You forgot to mention that it comes with the larger magazine sleeves for both 15 round & 17 round magazines, I just ordered a 15 round mag for mine. I like the trigger on my Shield plus better but I do shoot the subcompact very good, I also like that it's a little heavier than the Shield Plus so recoil is less and I can get follow up shots out quicker
It has a grip safety (baaad move no one likes that crap), the slide is clunky AF and the bore axis is stupidly tall. I have to be honest, I’d never recommend an XD series for someone’s first carry. Anyone that says they want one, we go rent one at the range. Out of roughly a dozen people not a single one wanted an XD after renting one. Not a single person. Go shield plus, 43x or even a hellcat if you really like snappy recoil. An XD, well I took those people out to the range to try one and no one wanted one at the end. First carry option go CZ p10m, p10, used first gen shield, I’d even recommend a max 9 before an XD.
You sounded like you knew what you were talking about untill you said the max 9 was better...Maybe once the trigger is upgraded. Otherwise its trash out of the box. Personally I prefer the X9 subcompact over my shield...Shield feels like squeezing a deck of cards...IMO
Who cares what you recommend, going to go with SPN over you. By the way I don't believe a word of what your comment said, as plenty of people love the XD.
A really cool thing about the original XD is that Springfield still offers them on their website
I like the original XD over the Mod 2 personally
You can still buy the gen 1 xd9, xd9 subcompact, xd9 tactical, xd45, xd45 tactical, and the xd45 compact.
Love my XD's and XDM's, absolutely flawless. I plan to get a couple M&P's pretty soon. They are beautiful guns and shoot really nicely as well
S&W & Springfield = my most reliable guns, even more than my Glocks.

Thanks for explaining the thing with the hand on the chest while shooting one handed!

Haha yup, they are shooters. Reliable smooth shooting handguns. Great pickup! Respect. Mine mod 1 has yet to fail!
Thank you I was waiting on this video!!!!
I have both but now I'm carrying the XD nine subcompact!!
Why do you choose to carry the xd over the M&P?

The Springfield all the way 100%
Respect!
I carry the M&P every day. Great video.
Both great firearms. Great review.
Interesting about that safety. I was watching ARFCom's review on the new Taurus Hammer Fire. They were saying the same thing about that one.
Yeeeeeee🤙🏾🤙🏾
M&P performance center in 45 getting picked up soon!!
Great video
Thanks man, I really do appreciate that. It keeps me going!
Question! Can you do a video on lights fit the XD 9?
Yes! I got you!
You can now get a magnetic red dot on these non optic resdy frame
Is it possible you could shoot the Smith and Wesson with your thumb on top of the safety
Ehh, it would be sketchy. Night throw it out of battery possibly but I think they will send you a lot to get rid of it if you want
👍💯
Smith and Wesson
Fair enough! Respect
Smith and Wesson better grip
Sorry I can't get with Springfield 😢
Why is that?
Can not deal with all the safety
