Music by Onlap.
I went with the 3.6 M&P. I have small hands and this has been the best fitting double stack that I’ve tried and I love the aggressive grip. The S&W came in nearly $200 dollars cheaper after my initial browsing and the mags are certainly cheaper too.
Got my M&P for 375 bucks. Guns broker is great.....but addictive
the sig is so ugly
@@TheMike31b “once you pop, you just can’t stop”! 😂
As an M&P fan boy, I shot the Xcarry at a range as a rental and I REEEALLY liked it. I liked it in a way I can’t really explain honestly. And yes….. the sights were awesome.
KS, another great video and comparison. I actually have both and until I saw your video, I didn't even think to compare the two. Excellent work.
Thank you John! They are an interesting comparison for sure. Very tough to decide this one. Cheers!
You said it best at the beginning, if you are looking at either of these you are doing it right. Cannot go wrong with either as this just comes down to personal preference! Stellar review as always.
Absolutely true! Thank you and cheers!
Just got the sig in this video with the red dot and just finished building my cz p10s and c both with red dots. Three of the best I can find. Put can size holes in bullseye's. Buys these and quit shopping...for awhile. Great video.
I’ve owned the 4” S&W and could not be happier w/how it handles, especially w/the 17 round mag. Never a single malfunction & I run it w/the XLG backstrap too.
I recently bought the Sig P320XC and I love it, the trigger pull is excellent for a polymer gun. The X-Ray night sights are well illuminated at night and the grip stippling could be a little more aggressive but none the less still a very well performing firearm.
I now have both of these fine firearms and have included the S&W in my rotation. My rotation also includes the SIG P365 and the H&K VP9SK. I wear OWB and IWB depending on my attire. Its difficult for me to say which I like the best. They are all super shooters however, out of the box the accuracy of the S&W blew me away. I love the flat trigger on the X Compact with the short, crisp reset. Thank you for your honest review.
Thanks for putting this out I have been Soo torn between the 2 and have not decided. This will help.
Glad to help! Thank you and cheers Richard!
The modularity of the sig is for me the game changer!
P320 can convert to:
P320 X5, Full Size, XCarry, Compact or XCompact as well as the following calibers:
9mm | 38 | 40 S&W | 45 ACP
All via x-change kits
You can even change the grip sizes to better fit your hand size.
It’s the AR-15 of hand guns...
Lots of options for sure! Thank you and cheers!
And soon it can be an ar, fcu ar lower coming soon
Frank Bonazza III only one background check. Good for folks in commie states and people who want a brand new gun shipped to their house
A .38? Pretty sure it doesn't convert to that.
It doesn't convert to .38, however, it does convert to .357 sig
Thank you for always a great video. Take care
Love my 3.6!! I’m a Glock guy and this was my first double stack S&W, and it’s nice!! Good video fella!!! 🦅🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸
That’s awesome Doug! They are great guns for sure. Thank you and cheers!
Wait till you shoot a sig
Youre number one gun reviewer in youtube period!!my idol keep up the good work😀👍👍🇺🇸🇵🇭
Excellent video! I have used a G19 as my CCW for years, and was looking for something new. It came down to a choice between these 2 in the end. I have a S&W for a different purpose, and it is a fantastic gun. And to be honest, i have never found a Sig that really impressed me. Until i discovered the X Compact..... I chose the Sig primarily for 3 reasons: !. Way more comfortable in the hand. 2. Tritium night sights. 3. Trigger.
Great video...thanks K.S.! A great comparison for sure.
Thank you very much Jim! This one was a lot of fun for sure. Cheers brother!
Awesome review! I have a 2.0C 4" and love it. Been eyeballing the 229 Legion but also looking for other options. Got to hold the X-Compact the other weekend and it felt great I need to try it out
Recently got the 226 legion sao. The trigger is beyond perfect. Highly recommend you consider sao if you get the 229 legion
You know Springer Precision actually makes a mounting plate for the X Series that gives you the rear sight dovetail back. It’s pretty cool for those that want to co-witness a set of backup irons.
Didn't see one for the Romeo 1 pro that I just mounted. But thanks for showing that there is an option.
Always look forward too your Saturday Morning Video/Reviews KS . There Both Sweet Little Guns , I'll Take Both 👍 Thanks For All your Time and Resources KS , Much Appreciated ......
Thank you very much as always Steven! Both are definitely worthy brother. Cheers and have a great Sunday!
KSGunguy… Thank you for another great non biased review of two great firearms. . I have the M&P 40 M2.0 and love it. I need to get more behind the trigger time before deciding to replace it with an Apex trigger. I also fell off the wagon and purchased the P320 X full-size with the Sig Romeo red dot included. The modularity along with the grip feel and that flat trigger just pushed me off that wagon. I am glad I did, as now I can maximize on the modularity and have my needs met without buying new firearms. If you have not done a video on the M&P 40 M2.0 5” with ported barbell and slide, you should try it.
I’m fortunate to have both and like them equally. Both have different qualities I enjoy. The shield 3.1 performance model is great concealed carry option. While the sig sauer p320 Xcompact is also a great carry option. Shoot ability goes to the p320. While the shield just feels great all the way around. Very hard choice. Great review!
Been waiting for this comparison 🙌🏼👏🏼
Thank you very much! Cheers Deric!
This is the review I’ve been waiting for
Thank you very much Supermike! Cheers!
I agree - XCompact all the way. My only drawback is that currently Sig doesn’t offer a size large grip module - I’ve got big hands. I expect it to become available in the future...
My first time at the range with my new P-320 Compact .45 ACP today. I put 400 rounds of various ammunition weights and types downrange with zero malfunctions. The bore axis doesn't seem to be a huge issue. Maybe a little more flip. It shoots right to point of aim... my wife was just stacking holes with it... and she can rack the slide on it too. The grip could use a little more texture up high, but the shape is nice, I can get a pretty solid purchase on it, and it won't eat me up rubbing against my belly. I'm ordering a couple of holsters for it now because I will definitely carry this.
I asked the ol' lady on the way home which pistol (besides hers) is her favorite to shoot and she said it's a tie between my CZ 97B and my CZ P-01... and I can't argue with that!... but it seems the Sig didn't take the top spot.
I daily carry the x compact every day and have added the GG trigger kit and it is a phenomonal shooter and very comfortable in a tier 1 aegis for me.
Sig was something always on my radar with the p226 and p229. The P320 never really intrigued me until the X series came into the game. The grips just fit so well and position your hand perfectly! (At least for myself).
The 320 X family is so very very gorgeous. They also need to do the M&P 2.0 SC, because I loved that little twelve shooter with its wedge floor plate. When I saw the 3.6 Compact, I assumed that it would be the original 1.0 Compact with the new textures and slide. Still, I dig that punchy looking balance.
I don't like the hinged trigger either which is why I put an Apex trigger on my S&W M&P 2.0 sub compact, along with Truglo TFX Pro day / night sights. For me this is the perfect combination for my EDC carry. Love Sigs too though, I have a couple of Sig pistols as well.
Great video and I love the X carry for the same reasons you listed. Out of the box you get more bells and whistles with the X series pistols well worth it.
Thank you Texas! Yeah, they are fantastic and nothing to do but shoot them. Love it. Cheers brother!
I have the M&p 2.0 4 inch compact. By far the best striker fire pistol I have had and I’ve had quite a few.
I have to admit I'm a bit partial towards the m&p being that I have to 2.0 4 inch, but sig looks like they really hit a homerun with the X compact.. would definitely like to try one out. Keep up the good work!
I agree that the M&P is fantastic. They are truly nail drivers! I do recommend trying the X Compact when you get a chance. Thank you and cheers Adam!
So after 6 months what do you still think of the sig p320 x compact? I'm thinking it's time for a new pistol to add. Never had a sig. Is it snappier then the m&p (as best you can guess)
Great video! I have the 2.0 5 inch, the 320 axg scorpion, and the 19x. I like all of them but the smith is my favorite, followed by the 19x, and then the Sig. If I could have only one, it would be the 43x with S15 mags.
Great Video! I have the M&P 40c M2.0 3.6 and I absolutely love it! I put a apex trigger, and some tfx pro sights on it. And that's kind of my point. I own Sigs, glocks, and S&W. My Sigs are good to go out of the box. I don't have to run out and buy night sights.
I cant really get away from my CZ P10C.
But these two look nice.
Another great video by KSGunGuy!
The P10C is an awesome gun brother! Thank you and cheers!
Love my p10c but wouldn't mind having both of these as well
Love this Sig. BY FAR my favorite sub compact 9mm!!! Plus S&W need to get with the red dot slide cut program
I totally agree about Smith doing cuts for dots. It’s time! Thank you and cheers!
I've been watching some of your vids (you have many of the guns I do), I want to say that I appreciate that your reviews seem very honest. Many of the other channels seems more like glorified commercials or glocksuckers, but you seem to give your honest feedback.
The thing I noticed most, and appreciated, is that you seem to do your reviews on stock guns. I noticed that you even mentioned and sorta redid this when it was brought up in your comments that you were testing an upgraded, though I guess technically still stock/factory/whatever version of the glock. I can not stand reviews where someone is comparing their favorite with upgraded trigger, grip, sights to a stock gun and just kinda mention that in passing.
EDIT: Oh and I subbed.
Thank you very much asd! To be transparent, I do occasionally have to use a modded gun for videos based on what I have here, but I try to be very clear about that up front to avoid confusion. Cheers my friend and thank you again!
The x compact is such a nice gun, shoots amazing and feels great. The beaver tail is super super nice and I couldnt be happier with my choice of EDC 💯👌🏼
Another great video thank you. I have both of them love them . And Harry's Holsters had holsters for both of them thanks to your code 10% off . Don't think i would be able to choose one .
Thank you Paul! Glad to hear about the holsters. I think you will love them. Cheers brother!
I see what you did here...Now I want both. Quite sneaky!
I’m loving the consistent development in all the major pistol lines. The new ergonomics of the Sig X-Compact is pretty compelling but I can’t wait to see what other manufacturers come up with also.
Supperconductor It will be tough to beat the X-Compact. I held one yesterday and my X-Carry might have a little brother soon.
I agree Superconductor! Thank you and cheers!
Nice!
Are there lighter guide rod springs available on the M&P compact 3.6"? I found the slide rack to be stiffer than on the 4" compact M&P model.
Well, we do know that the M&P 2.0 Compact came right out of the production gate with ZERO issues. The thing has been superbly accurate, impeccably reliable, impressively ergonomic, exquisitely affordable, uniquely American and astoundingly durable. Though I don’t own the Sig, the grip frame felt like it was made of a cheesy grade of plastic. Note I said that it “felt “ that way to me. I have no clue how durable the plastic really is. The M&P appears to have more attention to detail to me. The chassis design really isn’t a selling point for me though I could see how some would like it.
I also have to be honest and say that the rollout of the 320 was a disaster and it’s takes a long time to overcome a bad new product problem even after it’s been corrected. Obviously, they are both good guns but I just feel more confident with the 2.0 .
Fair enough! Thank you and cheers!
Bullshit
Informative and solid review
Sig x compact for me have really enjoyed mine so far. Super review. I have few pistols one of my very favs is my X5 with a Romeo one red dot. 550 Rounds so far with zero issues.
James Rowe I can’t believe how accurate my x compact is at 7-10 yards.
That’s awesome James! The X5 is a fantastic gun for sure. Thank you and cheers!
Hey KS gun guy nice review as always. Will you do a p365 XL review vs M&P 2.0 3.6"??
Just picked up the X Compact last week, shot it for the first time today and ...wow...EXCELLENT shooter! Fits my size XL hands better than any other handgun I own. That flat trigger, to me, makes a WORLD of a difference; I shoot a lot better with one. My only issue though so far is mags...I ordered a standard size 320 10-rnd mag on Ebay & the seller said it wont sit flush with the bottom of the X Compact's grip module because of the difference in grip module size between the 320 & 320 Compact??? So Im a bit confused there? Theres no stock # on the X Compact mags so how do u know which ones to buy for it?
Hello friend, I know Glock isnt part of this, but do you feel the ergonomics of the Sig 320 x compact is better than a Glock 19?
I am a big fan of steel Sig classic P series guns ( the P226 and P229). When the P320 was first released and had the drop-safety issues, I had the opinion that maybe Sig should stay out of the polymer arena and thought that I'd never buy a Sig polymer gun. The X-Compact has totally changed my mind. For me, it's pretty much the perfect compact sized carry pistol. Since I've gotten the X-Compact, my HK P30 LEM is seeing a lot more time in the safe...
Just picked up the X-Compact to add to my X-Carry and X-Five. Going to put the first rounds through it tomorrow. Already ordered a T-Rex Arms Raptor holster and they are trimming down the 3.9" version to 3.6" to accommodate no extra charge. Waiting for the new Romeo's to come out this summer to dot it up as well for my old eyes. Likely going to replace my p365 as my EDC.
Congrats on the new acquisition! You’ll love it and the holster sounds awesome. Thank you and cheers!
@KSGunGuy - I know you mentioned the red-dots that the Sig was cut for, but, do you know if there’s a way to mount a Vortex red dot onto it? Thanks!
I don’t believe so unless there is an aftermarket solution. Thank you and cheers MD!
I own 3 M&P 2.0s, M&P 9mm EZ, a 4.25 inch with Wilson Battlesight and fiber optic front, and a 4" Compact with a Holoson 507c-X2. The full size and the compact now have Apex triggers. I love the guns with Apex triggers but if I had to keep the standard pivoted, two piece trigger, I would not own one. The EZ has a decent trigger and is easy to conceal. Great to have so many choices today. My most accurate gun with the softest recoil is the Landon Tactical Beretta LTT Elite with the Holoson 507c-X2. It is a tack driver. The Wilson WCP320 is on my list to look at.
Really like your reviews.
I would pick the m&p .
Right on! Thank you and cheers Jeff!
They are making a AR -15 pistol for Sigs trigger module. Its a after market non Sig product. But pretty cool that soon you will be able to switch between any number of sig p320 guns and calibers, and also throw it into a AR all with one back ground check.
I saw those! They look very cool indeed. Thank you and cheers!
If cowitnessing sights on the Sig is an issue there is a pro cut slide offered by Sig that is cut for the red dot that does not require removing the rear sights.
Could you please do a p320x compact vs Glock 19 gen 5? I can't decide which to pick.
I love both of these pistols especially the Sig!
Right on! Thank you and cheers!
NOOB QUESTION: at 12:08 when firing there's some rounds that you see flashing and some not, is that just the camera or why would some rounds not "flash" as seen?
is this taken at Centerfire Shooting sports in Olathe? it looks like the range right down the street from me
I was looking forward to this one, as I love them both. I don't have much time behind the X-compact but already love it. I have been a huge supporter of the M&P 2.0's since they came out. My love for them and enthusiasm has remained over the past couple of years. That said, I would probably go with the X-compact as well. It has a lot of value with the "refined" options that it brings. I actually still prefer the 2.0's texturing as the best, but the Sig is just overwhelmingly delicious!
Very well said Fu! I think you are absolutely going to love the XCompact. It’s such a good shooter. Thank you and cheers brother!
I was waiting for this thanks
Glad to do it! Thank you and cheers!
The Highlander, that show was so awesome!
Sean Connery: I am a Spaniard, as you can tell by my Scottish accent.
Agree 100 %. Nice breakdown
I was expecting you to say the smith for some reason, and ks, dude we did our first uspsa competition today and it was awesome. Oh man we did so great, not one malfunction with the sig p320m17 flawless, and dead accurate. Most of the high end 1911 n 2011 there had alot of failures n malfunctions. Its was awesome so happy we did it today. And!! Omg this one guy used the smith mnp compact and killed every stage. Stock, nothing but mag extensions!!
Congrats on the match! That is so awesome to hear and I’m pumped for you Bert. Great to hear how the M&P did! Thank you for keeping me posted and cheers brother!
I have two m&p's and love them. I would like a sig m18 to add to my collection someday. Probably the only two brands I'd want to own at this moment.
This inspired me to buy the x compact.... I really like it.
I got the M&P 3.6 blue label model and it's a gem.
Nice Comparison Brother! You know which one I would pick!😜 Carry On
A Glock of course! Thank you and cheers!
Awesome video! Where'd you get that 17rd mag for the M&P ?
Picked up a M&p 3.6 .40 for $300 flat. .40 is my favorite caliber, so that’s not an issue for me. Love it so far. I need to try out a sig.
That's an awesome price! Thank you and cheers!
I use Labelle no.102 PTFE lubricant for my M&P triggers. It takes all the grit and creep out of the take up and reset. It also makes the break very consistent.
Does the M&P compact 40 come with those magazine extensions Springfield XD does that too
How would the Glock 43x stack up against these 2 guns? I’m in a 3 way tie between 3.6” m&p2.0, 320 xcompact, and Glock 43x which is a 3.4” barrel. I owned the 4” m&p2.0 for around 3 years then sold it
If you used the money saved with the price difference, and put the Apex flat trigger kit and a set of Trijicon HDs on the M&P, would that change the outcome?
The purpose of the 17 rnd mag spacer on the S&W is 2 stop the magazine from being over extended into the magwell if slammed up in there which could damage the guns ejector(?).
Just purchased a new Sig with a red dot optic. Pretty cool gun.
Hey KS. Took my X compact to the range first time today. I shot it lots better than the smith. Just seemed to shoot flatter. Great review
That’s awesome Eric! Glad to hear it brother. Thank you for the update and cheers!
Like these videos. It seems like in every "If I could only have one" video including any version of the 2.0 you always choose the other gun xD. Are you suuure you don't regret buying it?
I have the Smith 3.6.Don't like the trigger design so I installed an Apex trigger.I then put truglo sights with Talon rubber grips to tame down the rough texture on the stock grips for carry use. This set-up helps my old eyes and arthritis hand for better control.
@FifaGodd Around 290.Want cheap but I did it myself save some money from letting a gunsmith installed it.The stock sights are of good quality but wanted combination night/day sights for my eyes.Apex trigger is at about 4 pound pull.I have about 3/4's in value from accessories of what I bought the gun for.I feel this is set up for my needs.
For the M&P can you set the safety up left handed?
I’m getting the same exact m&p for my first ccw
Just a heads up because you didn't mention it in your video, but the sig Romeo optics have puts in the back of them that are designed to co-witness with the front sight so that you still have iron sight capability in case your Red Dot ever fails.
May the 4th be with you KS!! Using my Jedi abilities I knew you would pick the Sig before you made the video. When I shot one a few weeks ago I had a feeling the Sig would be a contender in your arsenal. I'd like to see how the X Compact would do against the Arex that you just received...
Thanks for the Video!
And may the 4th be with you as well! You’re abilities are strong. Use them wisely Jedi Knight. As for the Rex.... we shall see. Thank you and cheers brother!
I like the p320 to begin with I will say that the xcompact is the shortest barrel pistol I own and I forget that I carry it cause it's so light even with the red dot on it. Great video
I agree the X carry has a lot going for it, Trigger and sights more to my liking.
I totally agree C! It’s ready to run out of the box. Thank you and cheers brother!
I have both of these. My M&P has an Apex Flatty in it. These are two of my go to edc's. I didn't expect to like the Sig. The sig has the best out of the box striker fired trigger I've ever shot. next to Canik and CZ P10 series
X compact or X carry... any of the sig p320 X series are on point
Another awesome review KS.
Thank you very much Jerry! Cheers brother!
I am thinking about getting the 320 SIG , I am shooting a Baretta APX carry now the trigger is horrible. I am a big fan of S&W but the idea can but a sig 357 kit and go from 9mm to 357 with the same gun is pushing me over the edge. To me the trigger makes all the difference. Sounds like this SIG trigger is a good one,
What makes you prefer the 3.6" over the 4" 2.0c? I don't appendix carry so I might not see the benefit.
As for the X Compact, I found the X Carry grip module rubbed my thumb knuckle like you said the P10C does for you. Did they fix that with the X Compact?
I don’t prefer one over the other to be honest. They are both very capable shooters. As for the grip on the X Compact, I never had that problem like I did with the P10C, thankfully. Thank you and cheers Alexander!
Alexander Montrey : When I was shopping, I saw a slight ballistic advantage with the 4.0”, and a really slight carry advantage with the 3.6”. In general, hollow point ammunition works better out of a longer barrel. If you put them next to each other, the size difference is really small. In the end, I went with the 4.0”. To me, it felt better balanced in my hand, especially using the grip extenders with 17-round magazines. Also, I had shot the 4.0” at the range before buying, so I decided to stick with what I knew.
I love your "only one" series (in fact I've waited 400 years for it). Original and compelling. I go with the Sig p320 - with one you can have all (with the removable fire control group). I also would prefer an RMR, but they can push the Sig optic because it has a cowitness rear sight notch ON the back of the Sig red dot body. That's likely why the rear sight is attached to the optics plate.
Thank you very much! I do agree that you pretty much get everything you need with the Sig. Cheers Scott!
I have the m&p 2.0 3.6 with night sights and apex trigger ,its def a hard choice. But I will be getting the p320 x-compact cuz well it’s amazing and why not have another one to play with. Can never have too many pistols.
Right on! Both are definitely great. Thank you and cheers!
Ditto. Just bought the M&P 2.0 3.6 a few weeks ago. Haven't even shot it once. I bought my son the P320 X Compact, hasn't been received yet but I want one myself. I want to order it due to limited inventory but waiting for son to receive his so I can check it out in person first.
Didn’t end up getting it yet. Ended up building a few AR’s. But def is on the list. After this pandemic crap stops.
@@My_world1979 It is as bad as toilet paper out there. And price hikes seem to be the norm. Frustrating.
Yea. The prices are ridiculous. I’ll just wait till they get back to normal.
I own both Sig p320s and S&W M&P, love both, but usually can find the M&P for dirt cheap, the price makes the Smith hard to beat
I do agree about the M&P price. Thank you and cheers!
Picked up an X compact that was previously owned and fired less than 100 times for $475 yesterday.
Do you think if one ws to cut the xcompact grip like the normal p320 that it would share May's? And will the older 17rnd mags fit cause they are longer?
I would just dremel the baseplates on the mags. Easier and safer. Thank you and cheers!
Good video. I have the 320X. But had a 2.0 3.6 last year. Love both of them. But I would stay with the sig to. The grip isn't as textured as the 2.0 . But grip tape took care of that. I always felt the flat trigger was a gimmick. But after shooting it. I wish I had them on my Glock's .
I agree fully. Don't care for the hinged trigger on the M&P. Love the flat trigger on the Sig.
I love it!
Thanks to a really awesome friend in KC I was able to shoot the Sig X-Compact and while I liked it, the muzzle flip was a little more pronounced than the Glock or S&W M&P 9. Bore axis seems to be a little high on the Sig. great video...stealing your idea 😉😃
Haha! Steal away brother! Great to see you today and we’ll do it again soon. Thank you as always and cheers!
I currently have one pistol the 1.0 shield been looking for a compact size for awhile now.. and I thought that this vid would help me decide on my choice but I'm still broken between the two more then ever Haha. I'll prob go with the 3.6 so I can save money to get a ruger redhawk too. Great video thanks for the detailed comparison
Truthfully, you can’t go wrong with either. Just pick the one you shoot better and feels better for you! Thank you and cheers Chris!
I have the 1.0 shield too you cant go wrong with another m&p love my shield thinking about the 2.0 compact 3.6 for my next one
own the mp 2.0 compact with the 4inch barrel and love it bought just bought a m17 and love that too
