The minute that subtitle came up on the screen about the wrong instructions I was dreading the worst! I thought you might be chopping off bits you weren't supposed to! Thank god it all worked out in the end. Phew!
Where did you get the Instructions for this? I am pulling my teeth out trying to find it. I don't want to be forced to look at a small picture on Ali Express

Great video I see on ebay there’s a v4 kit that has plugged connectors. But looks like you do have to solder some lead wires to some pins. Would this now be the easiest way to install a screen mod in any gamegear? Thanks.

I went through three Game Gears, two I destroyed in a rage! I took special care of my third one, only for the fucking screen to die on me one day! So yeah, I need a new screen like this, oh and an adapter too... Need to sort it out. I've about forty odd games for it! And I honestly loved playing it.

Or maybe it's because your unit is old? I don't remember myself or anyone back then even dreaming of suggesting a game gear's screen was harder to see than a gameboy.

Honestly, I wouldn't know, but I would suggest checking all your work closely
So question: do the capacitors still need to be replaced or is this a way to both update and bypass replacing capacitors?

Maybe bright, but no contrast 😂 They were truly awful. A lot of people think the screens have degraded, but that is how they were from day one
@@backofficeshow The contrast was just fine, too (again, I never really played on battery so maybe there's a difference there).
