- HOW IT WORKS
The water diverter uses the intake air pressure within the snorkel to create a downwards motion. 98% of the water is forced to the walls and forced downwards into the water diverter and out of the opening.
WHATS IS IT USED FOR?
Our water diverter is made to relieve the amount of water getting to your airbox.
HOW IT WORKS STATIONARY
DUCK BILL VALVE: Your car runs off positive pressure and zero pressure, when your car is on you have a positive pressure which means the valve is open which allows the water to be released via duck bill valve. When your car is off the duck bill is closed but as it is made of silicone, water will still be able to push it's way through the opening. The shape of the duckbill valve makes water unable to enter back through the valve opening if submerged.

WHERE DOES IT FIT?
The water diverter fits inside the inner guard between the snorkel and airbox, replacing the straight pipe section.

when water was sprayed down the snorkel was the car running or turned off?
What about doing a river crossing and that valve being submerged, will it ingress water?…
One way valve stops water from entering back through.
When the water was sprayed in the snorkel, was the car running? Also how different is the rate of water coming out of the water diverter with and without the duck bill when it was being sprayed with the hose?
Hello, yes car was running the whole time. But the trap works with or without it running it just pushes out better with the car on as it has pressure behind it.
The water comes out at the same rate but it does have a fair bit of room on the inside to pool if the in rate gets more than the out rate.
You can see the difference at the end of with and without the duck bill. The duck bill is just there to stop water going back into the pipe.
May aswell seal it. Once the guard is on, you won't Know it that rubber Valve it there or not. It'll fall Off eventually.
If you seal it then the water can't get out which is counterintuitive.
