Making reels as long as they are doing it in their leisure time or as long as its not affecting their work efficiency should be fine and ofc not causing harm to others like patients or anyone, it should be fine. Why can't people have fun? I see people in the comments embracing this "punishment" and talking about "discipline". The older generation should understand that the work people are not machines. Let them have fun as long it's not affecting their work. What right do they have to take away the moments of joy in their life? Even in IT companies such as Google there are pods to sleep, areas for leisure. People go and come back and work. These people are just making reels, at least they are available for duty.

Tbh as a fellow doctor, there needs to be an appropriate place and time for everything . The hospital is not such a place for making reels.

Most reels are done during covid duties where they were made to stay for considerable time without breaks and not going home .They were either in ppe or in scrubs .What are they supposed to do during short breaks .They're humans .Infact they provided lighter moments to most patients who were in hospital without their own .

What I want to suggest is creating a fun room or entertainment room if it doesn't already exist in hospitals where doctors can chill/relax. It doesn't look good when a patient has died and a doctor and nurse nearby are laughing but it's also not their fault as they can't take every death personally. Therefore, it should be done. One small room, where they can make as many reels as they want, maybe play some ping pong, video games, eat, etc. It's not that costly either, I think.
Apart from that as long as there isn't such a fun room, please refrain from doing these dances and everything in front of patients and stuff. Sure, you can decorate and celebrate festivals. Cool. But doing these stunts for getting popular on social media sets bad precedents, I think.
you expect us doctors to work 48hrs straight without sleep with no personal life. We are humans not robots. We understand that there are deaths but what about us. Do you know the patient to doctor ratio in India. Still we cannot make reels there were no pt. shown in the video, we are stabbed by the patient or pt. relatives. The students who did that were probably posted there as interns in between their studies. They don't do real surgeries and stuff they are there to learn. They shouldn't have been suspended for making reels in free time. Unlike doctors interns are still some college students and they don't directly work with patients unless asked to do so.

They were making reels in a hospital, without any patients, not even a single patient is shown, not sure if it's actually a hospital and one which was shown was fake and part of the group and Army Men also takes break at loc, there are videos of them singing, relaxing at loc in uniform.

I dont see any patients in the background, i only see a bunch of students finding a way to relax themselves after a tiresome shift or day. The pre wedding shoor was not a great idea, they had to bring in all forms pf lights and cameras, but making reels is not so stupid afterall, they too need some space, and its alright until anybody is getting disturbed, and tbh, if i an a patient and i see my doctors dancing in front of me, it will be like a happy pill to me. So as long as anyone is actually getting disturbed or it is a 'threat' to their lives it cannot be considered a 'crime' as such! Also those people are not stupid to lie down on a stretcher with bandages and saline bottle in front of the whole hospital, ofcourse they were doing it in some secluded ward or area!
These students need some fun in their lives to deal with the shit that is being thrown up onto their faces. Rather than suspendeding them try to encourage the fun side, if not in form of reels, then in some other form. They don't even get timw to sleep, so it would be good for them to have some time to relax

Who ever is saying it is harsh should know that these students are studying to be doctors with this low level of professionalism do you think they could make any good doctors? No, never. They were disturbing the patients too and using the medical appliances for their own benefits of social media points. Suspending them was absolutely a right step which is also a warning for others not to do such stupidity. Imagine studying so hard to enter medical colleges just to make stupid reels.
Whoever is comparing it with police officers making reels should also consider that a warning from higher government officials are enough. Even if the state suspended those police officers there won't be any good, work would pile up at stations while those police officers would enjoy the break without doing any work. They would still get half salary. But these students are here to learn and be doctors, someone who will have to save the lives in future. Will you ever trust someone like them with your lives in critical conditions ? I won't ever.
