- Instantly create looping, repetitive and random animations in Unreal Engine without using a single keyframe! Don’t forget to grab the project files (Unreal 5.4) so you can follow along: www.schoolofmotion.com/blog/a...
The latest version of Unreal includes a ton of new Motion Design tools. In this video, Aharon Rabinowitz will walk you through Unreal Engine 5.4’s brand new animators, which make it easy to add looping, repetitive and random animations with just a few clicks. We’ll explore oscillation, pulsing, wiggle, bounce and much more. We’ll even look at how to use audio to drive animation.

Oh wow, Aharon Rabinowitz ! I’m a fan since your Creative Cow days, your videos and forum responses. What an unexpected Thursday treat!
Thanks! Glad I could help you in your work/Thursday treat regimen!
Nice! Reminds me of animating in Motion 5 with behaviors.
Awesome!!!
No, you're awesome!
Great one!
thank you!
Finally someone show something new and good about UE Motion, Rather then cloner stuff (Don't get me wrong, it's a powerful tool, just the showcase of them are doing the seme thing)
I've been playing with this since 5.4 preview dropped. Very cool stuff. I hope there's more info on the remote control presets, which seem very powerful for making variations of the same sequence. I've also noticed a 'material parameter' modifier that seems to only be available under certain conditions, and I can't make it do anything. An effector that could change the color of collided objects would be sweet. I've seen some work-arounds using MPC's and world position in a material, but I feel like there's an easier native approach. Looking forward to more content on the subject!
They are definitely continuing to work on the motion design features and continuing to fix bugs. I will mention all of this to the folks working on it.
Great video!!! Would you also be able to do a video mosaic ( multiple videos that reveal a logo when the camera pulls out)
Please for more tutorials about motion designe
the form on the blog page doesn't seem to work, in order to download the project files...
Oh no! There are some keyframes ;)
Shhhhhhhhhh.
Great Tut!
Can you show us the transition logic thingie as well.
Oh, im not the only one that says thingy
@@Xyver203 surely🤣
@@BingBangBaamBurrrBoom I am actually hoping someone smarter than me does a tutorial!
The official version 5.4 has been released, but the multi-layered effect of the motion design material designer cannot be saved. After saving the model generated by SVG, the software will close and the axis center position will automatically deviate when opened, and other bugs have not been resolved...
Personally, I always find that the initial release is a bit buggy. That said, I am on the beta and I know they are working to not only get the bugs fixed, but to fill out the motion design material designer features so that it is more robust.
Hello, I can't download the project files because I don't receive the mail (even in spam), any other solution ?
Oh no! Be sure to drop support (at) schoolofmotion . com an email and we'll be happy to help you out 😊
🤯🤯😍😍
🥴🙏
Perfect run down of the animators, I'd love this tool so much more if it wasn't for the amount of bugs 😆
Loading the downloaded project I'm getting a number of errors. And then I have a generic project (nothing like what is seen in the video).
The errors are:

I wish I could help you. We have tested this on multiple computers with several different users and it opens fine. Are you on a Mac? We were unable to test there.
@@AharonRabinowitz Thanks! Yes, it is a Mac. I'm just getting into using Unreal Engine, so my troubleshooting skills are not really there yet. Appreciate your help if you find anything out abou tthis. This all looks amazing as a tool for motion graphics.
This is just like expressions in After Effects with knobs and sliders and will only work for repetitive continous motions.
Yup! And no typing needed. Plus more interpolations. I feel like I want a little more control, but overall, I am loving these.
@@AharonRabinowitz But not ground breaking.
@@Hanschr1313 I think it becomes ground breaking once you built your 3d scene in unreal engine and add your product in.
Good bye cinema 4d?
We are not there yet. I still absolutely love C4D - especially for modeling. But I have to say these Animators make things a lot easier here than in C4D for the same kind of animation.
