damn ive never heard of this SUV, rare gem just like X5 Le Mans. Love rare models from car manufactures back in the 90's to early 2000s the R&D's techs were the best in their class back then.
Solomon, when we load our trailer we put the truck e-brake on to avoid the extra rocking motion. Just makes things a bit smoother. Great addition to the fleet. You need a co-pilot for some of these trips, especially the ones that days turn into nights and then into days.
Congrats on the new Saleen XP8! Your latest addition is definitely rare because it features most of the upgrades (supercharger/recaro seats/carbon mirrors and hood). I would highly recommend keeping those seats in that XP8, they are so difficult to come by for that suv. I believe Recaro still makes a similar style that you can order for your Expedition. Can't wait to see how you restore it. Keep up the great videos!
So how do you like using the U Haul car trailer? I used one to bring a 1976 F250 Highboy I found in A field in northern Minnesota and it was all over the road. 45MPH was about the best I could do. What should have been a 4&1/2 hour trip turned into a 7 hour trip. Made for a long day. My tow vehicle was a 2016 F150 4x4 crew cab with a topper. That’s a real nice truck! Congratulations on its acquisition.
Hello! I'm from Russia, I have a Ford explorer U2 2000, 4.0. limited. I can’t figure out the problem, there is a loss of power. This manifests itself during acceleration when the engine speed is more than 3000 rpm. The engine also jerks at idle. No DTC. I changed and checked everything I could imagine! these are new spark plugs, wires and coil, O2 sensors, temperature sensors, thermostat, checked the gas pedal position sensor, mass air flow sensor, changed the timing chain. EGR, PCV, EVAP checked. injectors were checked and washed, a new fuel pump and filters, intake manifold leaks, new gaskets... nothing to complain about and still not working properly. Can you give me some ideas on what else to check?
The brakes are alcon type b, the same but not original and not actually baer, all originals were recalled and removed. The rotors are 90 corvette HD drilled for 5 lug. The Eaton was ported by stegemiere. (the sc was a dealer add on) The wheels aren't original, the originals were chrome Lemans USA that were exact duplicates of the Italian. I can't believe the scratch is still there on the hatch, that was a mistake I made putting a sawzall with a blade on it in the hatch 20 years ago. If the exhaust is still the same is was custom made 3in with a magna flow muffler. Do NOT remove parts. It was 1 of 12 with all options. You can buy those Recaro trend style anywhere.
I definitely wouldn't take the seats out, that's one of the rare things about that one. I would try to restore it back to factory as much as possible. I'm curious to know what one of these are worth becuase I don't ever see them for sale
Please do not take the seats out of a true Saleen XP8! There are plenty of cool aftermarket options for your Expedition build. Unfortunately it looks like you are probably going to have to repaint the hood, front facia, and drivers fender bc I doubt you are gonna be able to generate a significant amount of extra gloss out of it. Maybe you can get KC's Paint Shop to help you out and do an update video on the shop while you are out there.
I have 2 enclosed trailers both full of junk, I had an open trailer but sold it. If you watch my last video you will see the mission i had with my truck i was towing with

I know about these and from the UK weird how you can be right into cars but there's always something we've never seen.
Definitely right my man, thanks for watching too
It's cool that they are consecutive, #29and 30
I thought so too

Very true!
Sweet HIS and HER'S
That’s right
That drivetrain with the supercharged 5.0 and awd put into a rcsb ranger would be like a ford version of a gmc syclone.
This is almost the exact spec of XP8 I am looking for. I just saw this video for the first time today. If you decide to sell it let me know.
Sold It 2 weeks ago
These are so fucking cool.

I generally like them but i also don’t overweight it which a f250 highboy just about maxes it out and makes sense why it was squirmy
Thank you
Nice one man, looks perfect to me, but I guess it's just perfect...ish to you!
Thank you! Cheers!
Dang! I never knew Saleen made those. That's nice!
Thanks
nice find on both units ,i don't think you should part out a numbers matching low production truck like #30
Time will tell, I’ve driven it daily for the last 4 days and now I’m in love with it as is so i doubt i will
Love the content!!
Keep it as your daily whip for when you don't need the full-size trucks. This one does look better than number 29.
That's the plan!
Are there any XP6/XP8’s for sale currently?
My wife had a ford exploader.
Did the make them in other colors? Nice rig!!!
They did, they Had white, black, red, green i believe
They sure did. I own 1 of only 2 that were built in green.

Wow fkn beautiful, time to boost that thing up.
That's the plan!
I had a 2000 Ford Explorer, and I've got 364000 miles on it before it died.
That sounds like a good life
@emmitt169 Got ours up to 320K before we parked it. Was the overhead cam 4.0 model, too.
That is a nice truck
Thank you

Beautiful suv ❤ How much you paid for it...?

they usually trade $20/25 in this condition
@FordEra I'd be interested in buying this one from you whenever you are done with it. As long as it stays mostly stock
@@KR-Diesel12345 email me because the longer i own the less your going to want it SL@fordera.com
Does that mean they didn’t build um till someone orders it?????
I’m not sure
Love the truck! I’ve always wanted to build my own version of an XP.👍
You should!
Where are u finding these?
Cool video but your speeding in the wrong place
🙋 I like it👍
Thanks
nice
Thanks
Кайфовая тачка , кайфовый звук !
У меня у самого третий эксплорер на v8
Wish I has mine had number 25
Your going to kill the value robbing the seats outta that. Just get a good replica for the Expedition
Probably will
This might be better than that dodge Durango Shelby sp360
both are reviewed in doug demuro's channel if you want compare
You bought 29 from dealership i just seen a guy showing it lol
😎
😊

We shall see
I know what I would do with it. That would make an awesome swap into my 99 4wd Ranger !
oh man
Steve Saleen’s signature looked forged.
All those vehicles and you have to rent a tow truck AND a uhaul trailer????
I have 2 enclosed trailers both full of junk, I had an open trailer but sold it. If you watch my last video you will see the mission i had with my truck i was towing with
Dont part out either.
We will see
I have a lot of info for this explorer. My brother owned it for many years. I sent you a dm on instagram.
