Obviously the reception of 7 minute drill wasn’t what he expected. No one talks about how being a rap star in this new world of social media and when compared to "the old days". Definitely takes a whole bunch of self control and restriction to not give into the pressure. Artists back in the day didn't have to deal with that, at least not on the same level. Sucks to see this moment for Cole, as I've been rooting for him for a long time. But yeah, the internet is ruthless. I hope there is a way for him to come back from this. He may not have the weight of Kendrick in terms of the the artistry and the catalouge. But he is an amazing rapper, and without a doubt one of the best rappers in the game.
