It appears there is a serious lack of skid control. So many of these driver are in zero traction situations, going sideways, and foot on the brake. They are obviously looking where they are going rather than where they want to go
Do it yourself and look back at this message. The speed they reach on places where normal traffic is 30kmph and they are doing 100kmph+ no shit they will make mistakes
@@thomasmons I mean we can agree there's a lot of keyboard drivers here, and rally in nature is though and difficult to predict so mistakes are easy to make, but there are some segments of this video that are baffling. Like the dude in the defender who thought his lifted vehicle could be thrown into the corner like a Yaris GR ? Or the guy that would've made the turn, but then decided to brake full hard in gravel ??? The guy in the Simca who forgot there was a corner ??????? The incalculable amounts of people that go full brake after feeling understeer ??? There's less dumb ones, but that I feel should still be avoided by people that drive at this level, like that icy hairpin, why do so many drivers expect it to take the regular way with that much speed ? Clearly you see Neuville understood the assignment and knows in that condition either if you wanna stay in grip you have to go granny slow, or throw it sideways and throttle out if you don't wanna understeer... Kind of same situation with that muddy turn, even worse as the previous turn really warns them of the lack of grip, plus the road surface is more easily "readable" to tell how slippery it is (whereas you could say in snow you could be surprised by spots that are snowy but grippy and others much more slippery while sometimes looking less snowy), there is no way to take that turn without the help of a bit of rotation and throttle out. Either you go dead slow, or go straight in the field, it's obvious. Really there are a few that makes you wonder how they've survived so far in such a dangerous sport. They come at speed as if it was dry even though they have been in the mud for 50m already.

Which 4WD system or drivetrain are those modern Rally cars using? Cause obviously a car from Hyundai isn’t 4WD from the factory. And even the Ford‘s aren’t 4WD or the Volkswagen Polo‘s… On top many of the older Rally cars (like the Corolla) didn’t have 4WD from factory. Is this a custom built 4WD drivetrain or something else?
