I agree with what I've heard him say about shows like "American Idol" and such. In my day, a singer or a band got popular locally, playing bars and VFW halls. If they got a following the bars could make more money. Then they might play in the bigger towns around that area and then maybe into a bill with a bigger group. Then you might play bigger venues and get popular, cut a record. You got to see yourself progress and learn from the school of hard knocks what worked and what didn't. Not just get chosen on a TV show and given a million dollar contract. Or told all the things you're doing wrong by a panel of judges. That's ridiculous.

As someone who was born in Detroit, and have always been a fan. My disappointment that everything for him is about Tennessee now. Is to me turning his back on what made him.I know we grow up and change, but if you love something you show it. I live in Indiana now, but everyone knows, and I still yell from the mountain tops that I'm Detroit made. I don't try to pretend I'm anything different than a Michigan boy, now can you feel that!
