Your guide was a big help, had to swap deprotect and precision defence materia for reraise and magic efficiency. Bahamut was a pain without them but Odin went down easy after that
Thank you so much for the guide! I finally did it after 7 hours ish. I struggled a lot with wave 2, and 10. Bahamut wasn’t that bad as long as I played very defensively. Just kept my distance and waited for it to start charging so I could break its wings. Odin however screwed me for such a long time. He kept only targeting Zack while I was trying to parry him, but I finally got it done today. You were a huge help, so thank you. Now the platinum is finally mine!
Honestly though, this challenge is so excessive. Like doing the 6 summons would have been challenging enough without the 4 mini bosses added in as unnecessary padding. It just made replaying it such a chore, but I’m glad I finally got it done. Although I had to split it up between 3 days to have the energy to get through it. Nothing sucks more than dying at Odin and having to spend so much time getting back. Also, I found it really helpful to use stop on Titan so that I could easily destroy his shield. Found it really hard to do so without it
@@victopediaboss Oh yeah, I totally agree. The problem is they didn't actually design a clever ultimate challenge with a new boss fight or anything, they just forced you to do a 20+ minute gauntlet and tip the scales against you by giving you only two characters (one of which who sucks, you've never used before, and you can't customize them). I think it might be, bar none, the worst post-game content I've ever seen in a game.
@@victopediaboss Also, in regards to Titan you actually don't have to deal with the shield at all! If you use Stop as soon as the battle starts then get an Aeroga off on him with Cloud, then use another stop immediately then another Aeroga, you'll stagger him and be able to kill him with one more Aeroga. Doing it that way makes it so he never gets a chance to summon the shield.
Appreciate the build, which did help me to clear it (although I swapped in a Reraise just to be safe) but this challenge still really needs a balance patch. It's way too overtuned, tedious, and unfair. Not to mention it's all compounded by badly designed hit boxes on both regular moves and unblockables, as well as questionable jank (like the delay after a dodge preventing players from blocking immediately, really limiting its use for spacing).
Agreed, it's BS and completely soured my experience as I've got to Odin 3 times now and somehow he just overwhelms me after a time when I'm so damn close. We're finally out in the open world and Square is still doing this VR crap. I'd actually like to just be out in the world fighting without stupid Chadley and it makes me think in part 3 Chadley will be back and probably stuck fighting the Weapons in VR and not anywhere cool with plenty more BS, sorry for the long comment this challenge just has me beyond aggravated
I completed this on my third time. First time, died to Titan. Second time died to Odin Third time I cleared. I used the build of a guy on youtube. Gottedamerung in Cloud, and limit Siphon to dish out limit breaks more easily, along with any buffs to limit gauge recovery as well as ATB assist, etc. 2 or 3 fights become trivialized with elemental magic linked to fire and Ice in armor. Use punisher's mode for defending and consequentely deflect physical attacks and counter. This helped me SO MUCH, cause you do so much damage that a lot of times you pressure enemies right away. For exemple, you can defend and counter 4 times, against 1 Odin Charge. And that will immefiately pressure him as well as build your ATB. I'd also say "get good at perfect parries" but I suck at those lol. Punisher's mode defense is amazing tho. Specially against Titan, and Bahamut (when he transforms his arms into blades) The fight is extremely challenging and hard but zi honestly do not think it is unfair. It is simply hard, as any end game content should be. It is just a matter of finding the right strat. After dying to Odin once and wasting 40 minutes, I was like "awww hell nah" . I immefiately went to find people's strats and this one was pretty helpfull. Seriously, people need to rely on punisher mode's counter a little more lol.
@@NoctisZeroWorld I Should clarify I already beat it when making my comment. I'm aware of the basic pattern of play is block/perfect block most moves and dodge for unblockables, as well as focusing on Punisher mode (having already gone through other end game content and Brutal 6) but some hit boxes for said unblockables are still pretty borked. I also really feel that aforementioned delay after a dodge should be addressed as dodges are also used for spacing, but that gets problematic when the animation lock prevents an immediate block.
@@Sawngawkuh yeah I will say that dodging, itself, is not very reliable on this game. Most of the time I try to dodge an unblockable, I get hit anyway. But I think thats just because they want you to perfect dodge. Works basically like a perfect guard, dodge right when the attack is hitting you, and you do not take damage, even if it is a big explosion, you get invencibility frames. You'll know you did a perfect dodge cause your character starts kinda glowing, etc. Im pretty sure you already knew this but what Im trying to say is basically that dodge does indeed suck, since they expect us to perfect dodge stuff on a regular. But I suck at timming that sorta thing, parries, etc. So most of the time I get hit, but thats my fault.
I got strat down within 2 hours, thank so much!! I swapped Enervation for Healing as I wasn't great at avoiding damage. I didn't use Counterfire once because I couldn't react quick enough to know if it would counter it or not. Titan and Hueyacoatl (round 1 & 2) gave me the most trouble, once I got past that, I died on the Brineborn demon once, and then managed to 1 shot all the others, even Bahamut/Odin! Odin did do the warning, but I had my limit break up which forced him to do Furor. I had nothing for Temporal Imprisonment, but I was controlling Zack at the time, so finished him off with Cloud while Zack was frozen.
Build or not this crap is all about muscle memory and memerozing these bosses patterns. Build deffinelty helped me. The prime/synergy counter really set me over the top after 2 straight days of spamming this. Thank you for the video man.
So, I attempted this challenge, and it was rough, I didn't use this build though it just didn't work for me. It took me 30 minutes. This brutal challenge was toxic. I had (Reraise +Magic Efficiency), this was to survive Bahumut and Odin. Odin didn't use the horn for me, so I didn't have to worry. (Healing+Magnify, ATB Assist, ATB Stagger, Phoenix Materia, Steadfast Block, Precision Defense, Fire and Ice+Elemental, HP, First Strike, Revival, Strength up.) I hope this helps anyone still struggling. I used the Gotterdammerung. Synergy, build ascension, use the limit break. While cloud is popping off, quick charge with zack to heal or do whatever you need.
I forgot about the fucking Gengi glove bahaha. I guess a clear is a clear though, right? Excellent work dude this video is awesome to watch. I'll be experimenting with Prime mode during the hard mode playthrough, it looks fun!
This is the first melee oriented build that I've seen that completes these legendary challenges. This was amazing. Melee/physical is just so weak compared to magic builds in this game, which is sad because I love "smash-them-in-the-mouth" melee builds personally. I'm not sure I have the reflexes to pull off what you did here, but I'm excited to see a physical oriented build be so successful. I hope they buff melee/physical attacks in the next game.
phys is not weak, is just that synergy materia/Arcane ward is broken as hell like in the first game, if they made a materia and an ability like that for skills it would make them broken as hell too, cloud would be doing infinity's end back to back. even then physical can be really cool with some set ups, and it is also really fun
From doing outer worlds challenge (sucked also). Odin is much easier with precision block materia, i can even perfect block his charge attack just by looking at my character block animation
Hmm he still does Fire/Ice on my end sometimes as of yesterday after update.. I think you have the case of Kujata Hates You RNG.. But the best thing you can do if he's on Thunder is just move away and hopefully both you and zack will have enough ATB, after you get away just spam Aerora (atleast 3 times) to remove the element
I used Cloud's Firaga to remove ice and was able to stagger him fairly quick, worked out at the end lol. And yeah, all I got was light/ice no signs of fire/ice to me 🥲@@LordOfGrabs
lmao I only watched this after I beat it I did NOT do this properly I still havent played hard mode so I cant make the genji gloves so for me it was opposite cloud was the support and the secret limit break ace in the hole (finishing touch after rebirth flame staggers everything with some luck and you can finishing touch again LOL) and zack was my main guy most of them were doable except for kujata and then i realised chad fair can literally just high braver kujata everytime it tries to infuse elements what a hilariously strong character how tf did this guy ever die to random infantry soldiers
@@LordOfGrabs the same way how the clowns in corel prison somehow beat up and kidnapped the whole party 🤡🤡💀💀💀 me and tifa just beat up a mindflayer in the colosseum for fun how tf did a man with a baseball bat beat up cloud 😠😠 that part made me laugh but made me cringe
hey man great job! im trying to learn from your vid instead of goin in blind haha. do you just stay in prime mode most the time and alternate regular and heavy attacks?
I only use heavy attacks on prime mode (hold square) since it gives alot of ATB + it also gives you Berserker+ buff (higher version of berserker from regular punisher mode) + It looks cool to do the 2 swings then go straight to Braver HAHAHA
You have a Zack Solo guide? I can get Titan, if I'm lucky I can get Hueyacoatl but I struggle massively. Phoenix I see no possible way to do it. I see only like 10 max people who have solo'd this with Zack. I'm trying not to go insane with this but I'm having fun with the challenge it's just I can never beat round 2 consistently so I'm stuck
@@supersaiyanzero386 havent done a solo zack run yet since its abit too hard for me, but for 2nd round you definitely wanna focus on casting aero and just blocking/parrying his headlong charge
@@LordOfGrabsgot 2nd down. Phoenix I can't beat. I watch people who have done it but I don't understand how to kill in one stagger phase. Just to get to him I have to spend 10 minutes killing Titan and the electric guy then I die, it's terrible. No checkpoint.
What should i press to block that at 19:34? After he did selphnir furor, i need to do blocking to increase pressure right? Should i enter prime mode and hold r1 and x?
just hold r1, after you parry let go and let the counter attack animation of cloud push through, then hold r1 again and repeat, you have to get used to the timing but it's pretty easy once you understand it
I was using a different build, and I struggle with him damaging me when he wants I block some and I get happy next thing I know he uses the zetau… attack or using respell at me or some times keep me in one long combo attack witch leave me paralyzed
Zantetsuken happens when he lands too many attacks and Reprisal's on you, the only reason he will Reprisal is if you USE WEAPON ABILITIES which is what you should be avoiding in the first place.. Only use counter attacks for Odin and you can easily beat him, he's actually the easiest to fight out of all the bosses in here since you do not need to attack, you only need to counter attack with punisher mode
@@aali4726 punisher counter attack still gets you damaged if you don't time it perfectly but you still counter with strong damage and stagger so its pretty much an equal exchange, so the way you off set the damage is either spam chakra or let zack heal you.. Just rinse and repeat and im pretty sure Odin will be down quickly
@@LordOfGrabs ok, thank you. I tried your setup and i don't get past round 1 :( Nonetheless you make it look very easy, i assume you really master the game. Guess i'm to old for this genre of action games now...
My stats are a little off, my Attack is 459 as opposed to 483 and my M Attack is 317 instead of 335. Other than that, they're identical to the build shown here. I've got the same setup, but those two stats aren't lining up, does anyone know why?
@@LordOfGrabs Yep. What may be different is that I haven't got all the manuscripts, so my weapons aren't maxed out. Didn't end up making a difference, still beat the challenge. I used magic, though, not the unga bunga darkside chad method. Maybe I will have the stones for it one day, but not today.
Welp, tried this after beating my head against the wall using the magic build that's out there and... I only got past Titan once after like 12 attempts, only to immediately get my ass kicked by that damn lightning dragon. I don't think this build is gonna work for me at all. Seems far too reliant on being good at blocking/countering and I'm just... not good at that. Worth a try, at least. Guess I'll just go back to the magic build and hope I can get past Bahamut and Odin eventually using that one. I so wish Zack didn't suck so much, and I could just build Cloud as a super buffer and use Zack to do the whole think like I did with Sephiroth, but sadly Zack is is so wonky to use and doesn't have nearly as strong of a kit (especially not the ability to build limits crazy fast super easily).
@@3catfriends yeah, ended up getting the platinum in the end. The magic build seemed to work out better in the end, but it still took quite a few tries before I finally got it. This was definitely the hardest challenge in the game by far, though.
@@3catfriends yeah. There's a bunch of guides out there for slightly different strategies, and I found the heavy magic Cloud build was more effective. My best suggestion is not trying too many times in a row if you get frustrated, do something else in between to cool down and then come back to it.
Thanks for this guide, with this build I don't have any issues for most of the bosses. Personally I'm having real trouble with the 4th one (Brineborn Demon), I was only able to defeat him once but it was mostly out of luck. Now everytime I get back to him he beats me down very quickly, can't get the timing right to perfect guard his attacks. Any advice on that? I dislike him very much, even more than Odin.
As soon as the fight starts go straight to punisher mode and parry, he will always do slaughter or the diving attack, just keep countering till he gets pressured, after he gets pressured attack him 1-2 times and he will enter daemonic defense mode if he does that go away abit and do a long range attack afterwards he will instantly cast counter shot ASSUMING you have elemental fire on your armor you can go straight to focused thrust, rinse and repeat till he gets staggered
@@LordOfGrabs Thanks for the reply, just got the platinum:) Jesus this was hard but with enough practice it's managable. My advice to anyone struggling with Odin (got him second try), go practice him via Chadley / summon simulator. Go Cloud solo with the same build and learn to parry his moves. If you manage to defeat him on 3 stars (weakest), 2 stars (moderately weaker), and 1 star (slightly weaker), you are good to go. Just important to go solo. You can also practice other summons there if you need to. Good luck to everyone and don't give up! I was fairly sure I could not make it but here I am:) Note: Shimmering Blade from Odin is not parrable it seems (at least the only move I could never parry), so just evade it unless you wanna get super slashed:)
About Reprisal - is Counteratack from Prime Mode is triggering Reprisal? As in the second phase of fight (after he splits battlefield) I was countering his atacks and at the end of his combo he would do Reprisal (not always but enough often to die).
nope! counterattack from prime mode doesn't trigger reprisal, in fact it's the only way to do consistent damage since any weapon skills will trigger reprisal
@@LordOfGrabs What I noticed when I do some counters he's using reprisal on me. I don't know what might be triggering them. Also blocks on Bahamut are very inconsistent. I keep holding down R1 and sometimes it will block other time no. Esspecialy the flame attack. Alexander is also driving me crazy because he's doig some strange sheningans like regrowing arms or teleporting even if I keep hitting him with all what I got 😅 sorry, I had to complain a little bit 😅
@@qbiak9220 Hmmm for Odin that's kinda weird, my counter attacks don't get reprisal'd on every fight.. On Bahamut his flame breath is unblockable you can only use the SYNERGY block which is Counterfire (you do it with Zack).. Alexander tbh is kinda bad if you let it get bad by prolonging the fight.. So I just go unga bunga on him asap xD it's ok to complain it's understandable getting platinum on rebirth is a pain.... And I just got Dragons Dogma 2 platinum so I can 100% say FF7 Rebirth is complete torture compared to the other games I platinum'd
@@LordOfGrabs I'll see about that reprisal, but for sure I'm not doing any weapon attacks, or maybe it's just some info, idk. During normal simulations sometimes you can block Bahamut flame by normal block, but now I'll remember to use Couterfire. The thing with Alexander is that I pummel him to the ground and quite oten some strange things happen anyway. I'm still using magic build as I got so well with it, but maybe I'll try your way ;)
@@LordOfGrabs Ok, I finally beat that challenge :D This time everything worked perfect, with Bahamut and Odin. TBH it was first time I reached Odin and beat him first time 😅 But after countering he was very often doing Reprisal and once I lost all ATBs due to that 🤔 I recorded everything so maybe later I'll check it out and see what's the deal xD
Don’t you just love the logic in this game, 2 Super Soldiers have a harder time against Titan, Bahamut and Odin than a regular 20 year old woman who knows martial arts
@@HellOnEarth6 she is abnormally strong for her build but there is no explanation for why she is so strong unlike literally everybody else. She is quite literally just built different I guess
Help! do you think prime is necessary? my bf is driving me nuts doing this everyday for hours, im trying to help but he refuses to use prime and he can’t get past bahamut and sometimes not even that. Help!!!😅
Prime is not really necessary it does help with the damage though! What's important is as soon as Bahamut does any skill/ability with the word SLASH on it he has to counter attack it while he is on Punisher mode!
I'm guessing you've already either finished this or gone ahead and done hard mode by now, but, for anyone who comes across this comment now or in the future- just go to Chapter 12 or 13 on hard mode, fast travel to the fights that give the items for the Genji equipment (or even just the gloves), and craft those. You don't need to go through all of hard mode to be able to get them, just have to do Gilgamesh at all (can do him on easy if you want) and then craft all the other items in the crafting tree (all of which can be done on easy/normal/dynamic), and then you can make the Genji accessories by going to the world bosses in each zone. If you're at the point of doing this challenge, you will have absolutely no trouble with those world bosses (you've fought most of them either solo in the legendaries or in parties while they had other monsters with them in the brutal challenges already). Seriously, just go get them and save yourself the headache. Otherwise you'll likely want to use Gotterdamerung (assuming you have that from brutal 6) and look for a completely different build altogether. This build is specifically built around breaking the damage cap, so many of the choices in this build are geared towards that. Powerpyx and game8.co both have builds that use Gotter instead of Genji Gloves that could be worth looking at, but I haven't tried either to see how they would fare. My guess is they would be much slower, obviously, but as they tend to focus on getting the synergy skill used and feeding Zack ATBs via ATB assist to get of free casts, my guess is that it might potentially be a bit of a safer play style.
MAN I DID IT 2ND TRY WITH THIS BUILD. I also didnt knew you auto parry in Strong stance. A thousand thanks. And i got platinum shortly after, Sephirot is op @@LordOfGrabs
I practiced Odin and I can solo him without concern. Zeta Bahamut gives me issues, though. How does his Gigaflare work? Im not sure how to guage my dps vs his form changes
his Gigaflare gets charged whenever he does the Particle Charge (wings part) So the more he gets charged up or the slower you kill the wings the more dangerous the fight gets!
@@LordOfGrabs thanks! I haven't seen Gigaflare yet during my solo practice, but it's always in the back of my mind lol. Are Bahamut and Odin in this fight the same as their Full Might counterparts in the VR solo fights?
@@ryanhorton9594 damage is definitely the same, HP also I think? The only REALLY big difference I saw was the brutal one (where you fight 2 at the same time) but I'm not a 100% sure, haven't tested and compared the stats of full power vs legendary bout
Really funny how zack watches you fight till an enemy is pressured or staggered thenn he goes in as an ai. Probably the smartest Ai i have seen with rebirth.
This is the biggest reason I hate this fight... I'm not good at playing Zack to I mainly stick to Cloud and Zack is fucking useless as an NPC cause he just stands there not building any ATB to support. So dumb.
Yep! Pretty good for gap closing too and the enemy tracking is good while moving! It also hits high out of reach places like bahamut wings~ It's really underrated
I just get knocked down fighting Odin. I can cleanly get all the way to Odin and he just kills me within seconds. It's not like this where he just lets you beat on him, I don't know what I am doing wrong.
Are you actively attacking him with weapon abilities? If so he will kill you no doubt, the EASIEST way to deal with him is to just punish counter and do normal attacks especially if he's on furor, he is a boss where you are required not to use weapon abilities and instead rely on parrying which is easy to do on Cloud because you literally just hold R1 wait for the boss to attack Cloud will auto parry (much better if you time it for damage immunity) then you wait for your damage to come up then hold R1 again and repeat till he dies all his attacks are parriable including the long range ones aside from shimmering blade, IF he is about to use temporal imprisonment i'm pretty sure you already have LB by the time it comes up, you use the LB to deny the imprisonment if you fail to deny you switch control to Zack and wait for the debuff to disappear DO NOT actively fight him as Zack unless you know what you are doing If you are getting overwhelmed by the damage because of parry timing you use Zack to heal OR if you really need to, replace one materia with Chakra and heal yourself, can also use Zack to cast Barrier on Cloud
@@LordOfGrabs hey thanks for the detailed reply! As you sent this, I beat it about 5 minutes ago with my own build and a similar, less aggressive technique. Got it in 21 minutes! I do believe my issue was I was trying to be aggressive with Odin because I was afraid of that hidden timer of which he uses Zantet. I used a similar build this guide suggests, but again a different way of dealing with stuff. It's funny how well I could get up to Odin lol Your suggestions are spot on. Just parry/block. It was hectic managing heals and required buffs. Cloud died on the first stagger which was annoying, that's been the way for a couple days while making attempts, he just dies at the times I do damage. ALSO I kept trying to focus thrust during pressure... Just using heavy attacks in prime mode was more than enough to stagger him, the second time it took two pressures. He was 1% health and 99% stagger and started to cast Zantetsuken, I just cast Arise on Cloud before he started casting. Staggered him with a standard attack from Zach and killed him with a synergy move. It wasn't a clean kill, but I earned this platinum for sure. Again, appreciate your response with tips, I don't see a lot of GOOD advice here. I think one of the big things people need to understand with Odin is exactly that. Let him do the talking. Don't be afraid to heal yourself with your own ATB/MP. My Zach never grew ATB like all these videos despite ATB Assist and spamming Braver, at least not as noticable, so my own heals were MVP that fight. Overtuned fight I think.
@@LetsPlayGamesTube congrats on beating the fight! yeah I agree that Odin is sometimes too much to deal with (most of my videos my cloud is almost dead LOL) have to keep a really cool head when fighting the guy and just use Zack as bait when Cloud's getting overwhelmed

I think it's literally impossible for Odin to one shot you unless you're spamming weapon abilities You REALLY only have to use punisher mode to deal with him Cloud's counter attack from punisher mode deals alot of stagger + damage against Odin.. You don't even have to have perfect timing just hold R1 lol I would suggest using chakra if you're really struggling with HP sustain.. And Zack will just stay on the background to heal you or buff you.. Which part of Odin are you super struggling with?
When facing bahamut it's important which attacks you can counterfire or not, the only other advice I can give is just take it slow play it reactively he does one attack you block and you do one attack then repeat
Ive managed to make it upto kujata, furthest ive gotten, then got dicked when he got thunder, I tried stop/aero but he eventually wiped zack and my healing was gone lol It seems pretty manageable at this point, but I think that boss is the only one that is kinda a dice roll
yeah the rng on kujata is ass, but if you want you can replace enervation and ATB boost with lightning and wind materia with another elemental materia linked
@@LordOfGrabs Made it to bahamut and had a pretty rough time, on the second charge I mashed braver and it targeted the body not the wing, was going well until then. I know that ones apparently easier, hence why Im leaving it for last lol But yeah if this is pretty much the same method I'll stick to this build for that.
@@yaboi6638 for the sephiroth fight you have to bring your own self buffs (bravery, haste) but it's really so much easier since he can cast heal and can also cast reraise on you so you're pretty much safe the whole fight, he's also pretty OP if you want to control him instead of Cloud
Do you think genji gloves are worth taking if you don't take darkside (revival for emergency instead) as well? Not sure what kind of damage I can expect there
You lose so much damage without Darkside since the calculation is so weird it says 20% but it's really not Darkside Braver does 10-11k but without it it's only 6-7k while Infinity Edge does 35-40k with Darkside but a very wet noodle damage of 20-23k without while enemy is on Stagger.. But it's definitely much safer I would suggest just removing ATB Boost or Enervation and replacing it with heal or revival or remove both Boost/enervation and just replace it with heal/revival As long as you don't actively control Zack he should be OK and wont take aggro like pressing L2 or R2 to issue commands instead of manually switching to him really goes a long way for aggro management
@@LordOfGrabsthe calculation is right Darkside gives you 20% braver gives another 15-25% And prime Mode berserk buff is another 25-40% from what i heard
@@LordOfGrabs Thanks for the detailed answer! As I thought the 20% of darkside is happening within a weird calculation so the damage is much higher... @@seranex3122 For Kujata (Stage 5) basically just spam Braver if he has Fire and Ice element because your build will just absorb the damage and not even stun you.. If he has Thunder you take a step back, relax and just spam Aerora till you break the thunder element (you can tell the element breaks when Kujata gets pressured) if you're struggling with the Fire and Ice still, you can disable either Fire and Ice with the opposing element so you can pressure Kujata, after that it's just bout doing as much DPS as possible.. for Stage Six Iron Giant, can just stay behind the boss and kill him, if he uses Sharpen he will do x2 damage (can hit Cloud for up to 7.3k if Cloud has berserker buff on) so the best way to deal with this is have Cloud use Plasma Discharge, have Zack buff Cloud with Bravery and Barrier (haste if you can) if uses Thanos Blade during Sharpen (forgor the name) stay away from him because aside from the Line AOE he also has a small explosive AOE around him which WILL one shot you no matter what after that just keep going behind his back and hitting him till he dies..
Second time died to Odin
Third time I cleared.
Specially against Titan, and Bahamut (when he transforms his arms into blades)
The fight is extremely challenging and hard but zi honestly do not think it is unfair.
Any physical attack that does not have an exclamation point, should be deflected with punisher mode, not dodged.
This might be the best thumbnail ive seen for a rebirth video LMAO on top of being an extremely helpful guide, good job for real
Counterfire (dam autocorrect) is the same timing as perfect block, maybe a bigger window.
Build or not this crap is all about muscle memory and memerozing these bosses patterns. Build deffinelty helped me. The prime/synergy counter really set me over the top after 2 straight days of spamming this. Thank you for the video man.
Nice Video , did it after about 10 tries using this build , finally done 😅
Thanks for the build ✌
Thanks all that is holy, this build let me stomp out this trial. Thank you so much. 🎉🎉🎉
Good job , that limit break vs Odin xD
It was intentional to avoid being stopped.
I forgot about the fucking Gengi glove bahaha. I guess a clear is a clear though, right?
Excellent work dude this video is awesome to watch. I'll be experimenting with Prime mode during the hard mode playthrough, it looks fun!
WHAT?!? You can cast Stop to freeze the stagger?? How have i not known this..
Bro thank you for this video! I was able to finally beat this with your buld after being stuck on this challenge for like 3 days😅 you da man!✊🏼✊🏼
Probably the most piece of shitty boss in the gauntlet is Bahamut. Good thing they didn't put gilgamesh in here
This is the first melee oriented build that I've seen that completes these legendary challenges.
Odin scares the shit out of me alright les see how many days this takes
IMO he’s a pushover Bahamut and 2nd boss scares me more
I believe if you use Sonic Boom that it gives you Bravery or Faith as well for extra time on that.
it does but the duration lasts for a very short time compared to the regular Bravery/Faith buffs
From doing outer worlds challenge (sucked also). Odin is much easier with precision block materia, i can even perfect block his charge attack just by looking at my character block animation
After last update Kujata is always going lightning/ice first then fire for me, it makes this fight much slower cause you cant face tank everything :(
Hmm he still does Fire/Ice on my end sometimes as of yesterday after update..
And yeah, all I got was light/ice no signs of fire/ice to me 🥲@@LordOfGrabs
damn I wish I have this kind of skills, I was able to get the platinum trophy of the game but I'm not good as like you.
lmao I only watched this after I beat it
I did NOT do this properly I still havent played hard mode so I cant make the genji gloves so for me it was opposite cloud was the support and the secret limit break ace in the hole (finishing touch after rebirth flame staggers everything with some luck and you can finishing touch again LOL) and zack was my main guy
most of them were doable except for kujata and then i realised chad fair can literally just high braver kujata everytime it tries to infuse elements what a hilariously strong character how tf did this guy ever die to random infantry soldiers
Zack forgot his plot armor in the truck smh
@@LordOfGrabs the same way how the clowns in corel prison somehow beat up and kidnapped the whole party 🤡🤡💀💀💀
me and tifa just beat up a mindflayer in the colosseum for fun how tf did a man with a baseball bat beat up cloud 😠😠 that part made me laugh but made me cringe
hey man great job! im trying to learn from your vid instead of goin in blind haha. do you just stay in prime mode most the time and alternate regular and heavy attacks?
I only use heavy attacks on prime mode (hold square) since it gives alot of ATB + it also gives you Berserker+ buff (higher version of berserker from regular punisher mode) + It looks cool to do the 2 swings then go straight to Braver HAHAHA
@@LordOfGrabsi like ur style ;)
So a Physical build huh? I did Aeroga Magic build.
How i can save me whit zanzetzu? Kill me always
Should i enter prime mode and hold r1 and x?
just hold r1, after you parry let go and let the counter attack animation of cloud push through, then hold r1 again and repeat, you have to get used to the timing but it's pretty easy once you understand it
Ahaa nice! Need to practice in the summons first lol.
I cant block perfect enough or my timing is slow i can block some but some how i still get damge
And thank u for ur time btw
@@aali4726 punisher counter attack still gets you damaged if you don't time it perfectly but you still counter with strong damage and stagger so its pretty much an equal exchange, so the way you off set the damage is either spam chakra or let zack heal you.. Just rinse and repeat and im pretty sure Odin will be down quickly
That looks quite impressive, when do you activate the darkside materia?
at the start of the fight usually~
@@LordOfGrabs ok, thank you. I tried your setup and i don't get past round 1 :( Nonetheless you make it look very easy, i assume you really master the game. Guess i'm to old for this genre of action games now...
@@MinyNeo You can do it I believe in you, which part of round 1 (Titan) are you having a hard time with?
Why does my infinity end with all those buffs do 25k damage ? I have strength up one lever before max , does that 5% more count ?
5% is alot
My stats are a little off, my Attack is 459 as opposed to 483 and my M Attack is 317 instead of 335. Other than that, they're identical to the build shown here. I've got the same setup, but those two stats aren't lining up, does anyone know why?
do you have enemy skill maxed?
Did you get it ?!
@@3catfriends yeah, ended up getting the platinum in the end. The magic build seemed to work out better in the end, but it still took quite a few tries before I finally got it. This was definitely the hardest challenge in the game by far, though.
@@R0D3R1CKV10L3NC3 did you use prime?
@@3catfriends yeah. There's a bunch of guides out there for slightly different strategies, and I found the heavy magic Cloud build was more effective.
My best suggestion is not trying too many times in a row if you get frustrated, do something else in between to cool down and then come back to it.
Build: 19:55
I was fairly sure I could not make it but here I am:)
Note: Shimmering Blade from Odin is not parrable it seems (at least the only move I could never parry), so just evade it unless you wanna get super slashed:)
I’m at weapon level 8, should i do hard playthrough first or attempt this right now with 24 less attack power?
Don’t you just love the logic in this game, 2 Super Soldiers have a harder time against Titan, Bahamut and Odin than a regular 20 year old woman who knows martial arts

Help! do you think prime is necessary? my bf is driving me nuts doing this everyday for hours, im trying to help but he refuses to use prime and he can’t get past bahamut and sometimes not even that. Help!!!😅
Prime is not really necessary it does help with the damage though! What's important is as soon as Bahamut does any skill/ability with the word SLASH on it he has to counter attack it while he is on Punisher mode!
I did this same built but I have less Atk, magic power & I’m level 70. Can someone explain why?
Did you get the berserk+ buff from prime mode?, make sure to have darkside and bravery up also
If i want to this before Hard Mode can i use another accessory and if yes, which one? Im only missing this and the Sephiroth one and then hard mode
When you parry Odin is with Counterfire or pressing triangle?
Triangle, only longrange attacks or aoe for counterfire

So dumb.
Very impressive! Is the Prime Mode combo you use most of the time just hold attack button?
Yep! Pretty good for gap closing too and the enemy tracking is good while moving! It also hits high out of reach places like bahamut wings~ It's really underrated
@@LordOfGrabs Very cool, I will try incorporate it more in my gameplay. Thx again for all the amazing videos
I just get knocked down fighting Odin. I can cleanly get all the way to Odin and he just kills me within seconds. It's not like this where he just lets you beat on him, I don't know what I am doing wrong.
Are you actively attacking him with weapon abilities? If so he will kill you no doubt, the EASIEST way to deal with him is to just punish counter and do normal attacks especially if he's on furor, he is a boss where you are required not to use weapon abilities and instead rely on parrying which is easy to do on Cloud because you literally just hold R1 wait for the boss to attack Cloud will auto parry (much better if you time it for damage immunity) then you wait for your damage to come up then hold R1 again and repeat till he dies all his attacks are parriable including the long range ones aside from shimmering blade, IF he is about to use temporal imprisonment i'm pretty sure you already have LB by the time it comes up, you use the LB to deny the imprisonment if you fail to deny you switch control to Zack and wait for the debuff to disappear DO NOT actively fight him as Zack unless you know what you are doing
If you are getting overwhelmed by the damage because of parry timing you use Zack to heal OR if you really need to, replace one materia with Chakra and heal yourself, can also use Zack to cast Barrier on Cloud
It's funny how well I could get up to Odin lol
Your suggestions are spot on.

I think it's literally impossible for Odin to one shot you unless you're spamming weapon abilities
You REALLY only have to use punisher mode to deal with him Cloud's counter attack from punisher mode deals alot of stagger + damage against Odin.. You don't even have to have perfect timing just hold R1 lol I would suggest using chakra if you're really struggling with HP sustain.. And Zack will just stay on the background to heal you or buff you.. Which part of Odin are you super struggling with?
Bahamut is burning me alive... made to Odin only 2 times...
When facing bahamut it's important which attacks you can counterfire or not, the only other advice I can give is just take it slow play it reactively he does one attack you block and you do one attack then repeat
otherwise can just add chakra or reraise to cloud and remove some damage materias
Hopefully good luck happens soon lol
Had zack go down on kujata again because of thunder but pulled it off with just cloud, because of the next fight its easier to take it a bit slow and get healed up thankfully ironclad is slow lol
@@yaboi6638 prime mode Strong attack can demolish the wings, it has a REALLY high vertical reach and damage for a regular attack.. As long as the game doesn't jank out (it happens sometimes where Cloud just spins 360 in one spot and misses the whole wing lmao)
@@LordOfGrabs Funny that, I tried doing exactly that after the failed braver and that exact same thing happened, cloud wouldnt get off the ground haha
I just unlocked the challenge today and after trying different builds this was the only one that got me past titan with ease, first attempt bad kujata, second buggered bahamut, I might do one more run before I call it a night.
Also do we pretty much use the same build with seph? I know that ones apparently easier, hence why Im leaving it for last lol But yeah if this is pretty much the same method I'll stick to this build for that.
@@yaboi6638 for the sephiroth fight you have to bring your own self buffs (bravery, haste) but it's really so much easier since he can cast heal and can also cast reraise on you so you're pretty much safe the whole fight, he's also pretty OP if you want to control him instead of Cloud
Do you think genji gloves are worth taking if you don't take darkside (revival for emergency instead) as well?
Not sure what kind of damage I can expect there
You lose so much damage without Darkside since the calculation is so weird it says 20% but it's really not
Darkside Braver does 10-11k but without it it's only 6-7k while Infinity Edge does 35-40k with Darkside but a very wet noodle damage of 20-23k without while enemy is on Stagger.. But it's definitely much safer I would suggest just removing ATB Boost or Enervation and replacing it with heal or revival or remove both Boost/enervation and just replace it with heal/revival
As long as you don't actively control Zack he should be OK and wont take aggro like pressing L2 or R2 to issue commands instead of manually switching to him really goes a long way for aggro management
@@LordOfGrabsthe calculation is right
Darkside gives you 20% braver gives another 15-25%
And prime Mode berserk buff is another 25-40% from what i heard
@@LordOfGrabs Thanks for the detailed answer! As I thought the 20% of darkside is happening within a weird calculation so the damage is much higher...
I guess I will have to farm to get mine to max level then...
ATB boost is probably more convenient/useful than Enervation so I think I will try to get that one out first.
Trying your method but i clearly don’t have your dps, my infinity end does 23k and even when i manage to get to the last wave Odin decide he had enough and zantetsuken my face without any warning (he was around 55% and i wasn’t a punching ball, but after the stagger he decide to do that). It’s starting to get annoying at this point :/
Do you have berserker+ , Bravery on? and are you using de-protect? I'm still doing 40k at the moment
@@LordOfGrabs I just tried again, and yeah, berserk had fade and i wasn't using de-protect, much better damage, but it's harder to keep Cloud alive haha oh well guess i'll continue to try until i manage to pass. thanks for the answer !
Sadly i cant do this one i guess i will never have the platinum and this is the last thing i need for it :(
Which part are you struggling with?
@@LordOfGrabs bahamut
Nvm just cleared it lol ty for the build
@@michelleonarthow’d you get it !
How to time the limit break for Odin?
When he's holding his blade fully sideways that's when you Limit Break check the video and look closely at the blade, he'll hold it perfectly sideways before casting temporal
@@LordOfGrabs thanks just cleared it 😃
i dnt get this at all ive been stuck on this for 3 days could u explain what u do for the titan fight ik u use counterfire for aoe and range but how do u keep ur atb changes full at all times
Clouds ATB fills up tremendously if you counter using punisher mode it's why sometimes you just see me standing and waiting for the bosses to just attack
@@LordOfGrabs yeah i figured that out and am now trying to get past ironclad consistently made it to alexandria or whatver his name is once just trying get get these VRs done so i can just finish the story on hard lol
@@LordOfGrabs sorry in advice could u break down round 5 a little bit more idk if im doing something wrong or if im just unlucky ive followed what u put in the desc but for some reason i cant do this consistently and its driving me crazy made it to round 9 but struggle on rounds 5 and 6
@@seranex3122 For Kujata (Stage 5) basically just spam Braver if he has Fire and Ice element because your build will just absorb the damage and not even stun you.. Plasma discharge will help immensely with the DPS because he is weak against Lightning
sorry for the long post HAHA
@@LordOfGrabsno sweet finally was able to do it do u have any tips for to be a hero idk how to approach that one or what to change in cloud
17:25 Was that Soothing Breeze Command an accident?
yes......
@@LordOfGrabsno accidents just happy mistakes
Does this strategy also work on the sephiroth one?
No, since sephiroth doesn't have buffs for cloud, cloud can use Sonic boom instead just don't forget to constantly reapply, oh and sephiroth has reraise so it's easier imo
@@LordOfGrabsalso, is weapon level 9 necessary or is level 8 good enough?
@@EpicBedwarsYT as long as you get max slots is all good but better to max your folios and to grind materia before fighting these fights
@@LordOfGrabsafter lots of practice i did it with this strategy, my fight with Odin was really messy and cloud died 3 times but I still won, thank you so much!
Can you do this for me. I’m being serious btw.
tried this build, couldnt work against #*#*#(#@ Titan, I HATE TITAN I F*#*#(#( Despise that overpowered POS, I try to counter (prime counter and counterstance) he just goes thru the attack or do that stupid rock encase move that i cant seem to avoid
Not all of titans can be parried like the stomp, you have to know which attacks must be COUNTERFIRED (the synergy attack) not the counterstance, counterstance is generally bad in rebirth since punisher mode with prime mode is just better
This is fucking nuts dude I'll pay you if you do it in my account LOL
How much xd
@@MiguelStein How much do you want to do this and the Sephiroth one?
Me? Donegaga.
lmao
