Maybe it's because he's blind? I think I read somewhere it can be hard to stay awake during daytime and sleep during nighttime since it's hard to tell the difference with light. If so that's a nice touch by the creators, so far I like the small details like him using his wand to navigate.

Even your character can sleep during his class if you fail QTE. You can even hear some student forgetting to bring a pillow to his class.
I’ve never seen Ominis do anything or go anywhere besides roaming around the defense against the dark arts tower. How does this happen, where do you have to be and how far into the story to see this sort of stuff? Lol
