- f evertything in the VMware Player works except for the keyboard inputs, how would you get around it? You can use on-screen keyboard but it is not practical and counter productive. There is a way to resolve it and let me demostrate.
Spoiler Alert
1) Open Regedit tool and navigate to..
2) Hkey_Local_Machine\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\4D36E96B-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318
3) Double-click the UpperFilters and change the value to kbdclass
4) Close regedit tool and restart vrtual machine

I'm unable to use on screen keyboard in vmware Linux
Yes, as the on screen keyboard (sometime known as virtual keyboard) is a Microsoft Windows application.
What version of Linux are you using?
In Linux environment, there are a couple of open-source virtual keyboard software available, such as GOK (GNOME Onscreen Keyboard), OnBoard and Florence. I have used GNOME Onscreen Keyboard myself.
Below are links to all the onscreen keyboards for Linux and how to setup the virtual keyboard.
GNOME Onscreen Keyboard
developer.gnome.org/gok/
OnBoard
launchpad.net/onboard
Florence
www.xmodulo.com/florence.html
If you are in Ubuntu 20.04, you can access the onscreen keyboard through this way.
1) Open the Activities overview and start typing "Settings".
2) Click on Settings.
3) Click Universal Access in the sidebar to open the panel.
4) Switch on Screen Keyboard in the Typing section.
I hope it helps.

You need to install the VMWare Tools. This tool (application) allows for seamless integration of the VM with your core OS.
Would you be able to provide slightly more details on what you have done so far?
Thanks a lot

Maybe I can help you.
@@RabiGurungXybernetics keyboard driver..
@@chatability Try this. It worked for me on my test VMWare. Is to install an enhance keyboard driver which you need for VMWare if you are facing keyboard issue.
