Why would telling her it’s a boys only organization be discouraging? Throughout history there have been many things that are separated by gender. That’s slowly changing, but at least for now it’s still a thing…
That tends to go one way where the boys organizations open up for girls, but girls organizations... stay girls. An all-girl school started being co-ed in 1990. Essentially a sub-plot in this episode of the "forced feminization trope". Makes one wonder what was going on inside of Sherwood Schwartzes brain. No doubt creepy stuff dwelt within. After all, Brady Bunch was chock full of Marsha-Jan cheesecake-exploitation, not that I'm complaining, har har har. Plenty of leg action, and who could forget that unmistakably freudian eruption of Peters volcano! Was I the only one who JOed to this show as a kid?
@@RaptorFromWeegee Schwarz was a rather outspoken liberal, so no surprise here. Remember the attempted Brady spinoff, the white couple adopting three boys from different races? I am not condemning this, but it was just another case of the pre-Woke Wokists trying too hard and shoving their agendas down people's throats.
Women join the military, and can become president. The world is changed. I hate stereotyping. I hate it when you go to the toy section and they have hot wheel cars in a “boys” aisle and cooking/cleaning toys in the “girls” section. Besides that, everything for girls is mostly pink. I’m a female and I never was into pink, even as a child. I’ve always liked blue since my birth-even today still. Today men are cooks, in restaurants mostly men. So why are pretend cooking toys only in a “girls” section? Today some boys like pink. Even my son likes pink. We have a LGBTQ community too. There are all kinds of people, we should accept anyone. Even the toy companies. Oh, my little 3 year old niece likes certain cars. Women also like cars and superhero’s .
I agree, in as much as there are more valid options for kids now who are different. LGBT, girls sports, spectrum kids, art kids, etc. But the fact remains that the majority of kids eagerly conform to these stereotypes, not because of some conspiracy of the patriarchy but because thats just how they're biologically programed. The toy sellers got a pinked out girls toy isle cause thats what sells to little girls, like 90% want that.
Because the majority of boys and girls like the things you mentioned, why should the world change to please you and no-one is forcing you to buy from the girls section.

Peter could not be any cuter here. 🥰
I like how Greg pulls Bobby back while Peter goes up to ring the doorbell.
That was one of the best episodes hilarious. Peter was absolutely hilarious.
Rewatching the show 49 years later. Peter stands out among the 6 kids with the exception of how adorable Bobby and Cindy were before they got older.
Peter should’ve jumped at the chance to be a Sunflower Girl. Imagine getting to go camping with all of those cute little teenage girls!

This scene was hilarious but I must say Peter did look good in that jaunty beret. Minus the flower, of course .
Its payback for Peter blowing off his volcano that spewed sticky goo all over his sister Marcia and her hot sexy friends from the Booster Club.
@@RaptorFromWeegee But I don't see how that could be, as I think you have the chronology reversed, as that volcano scene was from a later episode.
