I remember unknowingly visiting the Meditation Gardens in 2008 when I was going to school in SD. I didn't take note of where I was, as my friend was just driving us around for fun - just thought it was a cool spot to chill and even took some pics of the view. Ten years later (after having moved back home to Guam) I went on a business trip to Encinitas. During a walk, I ended up at the Meditation Gardens and as I was taking a photo of the view, I realized that I had been here before and that I had taken this exact same photo. Felt like my life came full circle. 😂
I'm a San Diego native although I moved to Washington 3 years ago I spent my first 62 years in San Diego . One place many natives have never seen is the tidepools at the Cabrillo National Monument on the hill in Point Loma . While there the Monument and lighthouse are pretty sweet plus if the grey whales are migrating you can watch them from up there and one more thing , if you happen to time it right you might get to see a navy submarine coming in or going out of the submarine base below you and to the left . Julian is a mountain town you really need to visit if you are visiting San Diego , Mom's Apple pie is the best in my opinion but they are all good , the Silver Eagle gold mine is a pretty cool tour , just shopping the Main Street shops is an experience in itself . There are many things to do up there and there are some pretty nice Bed & Breakfast places just out of town .

Yes, it was Vacation Village in the 60s 70s 80s, then Princess Resort in the 90s. The pond was a model boat pond and if you were staying at the hotel, you could borrow a kite or rent a pedal/paddle boat or borrow toys like hula hoops, yoyos, jump ropes, etc. Had a snack bar too. The whole place was geared for kids and families. The bar wasn't there, nor was the tower. The gazebo was there.

I've always wanted to go to paradise point. We stayed at Bahia last year. I want to check out that shack on mission Beach. We usually only go to belmont when doing mission. I love LA Jolla. Um dude idk if u know but as a born and raised OB citizen we were always told to stay away from the homeless shack or as u called it the graffiti shack. It was always rumored to me and other that a couple of murders took place there
What’s covid like in SD? I’m moving there from Chicago where they’re super strict and you need a Vax card EVERYWHERE u go. Hoping SD isn’t like that too 😅
Only if you are going to a play or to see a live performance in a theater, they want proof of vaccine or negative Covid test and mask is required if not vaccinated
