  • The Artifacts of Mount Independence and the Stories They Tell: A series of brief explorations of Revolutionary War artifacts from Mount Independence on Lake Champlain in Orwell, Vermont. Michael Barbieri, long-time Revolutionary War historian and reenactor, and Mount Independence volunteer, takes a look at some of the gunflints found in archaeological investigations over the years at the Mount Independence State Historic Site. Where did the gunflints originally come from, what were they used for and how, and why are there many colors and shapes? Presented by the Mount Independence State Historic Site, Vermont Division for Historic Preservation, as part of the site's collection stewardship project funded by a grant from the National Park Service American Battlefield Projection Program.
