  • The Artifacts of Mount Independence and the Stories They Tell: A series of brief explorations of Revolutionary War artifacts from Mount Independence on Lake Champlain in Orwell, Vermont. Michael Blakeslee, long-time Revolutionary War reenactor and a Vermont State Historic Sites site interpreter, takes a look at musket balls found in archaeological investigations over the years at the Mount Independence State Historic Site. Why so many sizes? Where were they cast? What did the soldiers do with the balls after they were made? Presented by the Mount Independence State Historic Site, Vermont Division for Historic Preservation, as part of the site's collection stewardship project funded by a grant from the National Park Service American Battlefield Projection Program.
