I'm almost 40 and this song resonates very heavily with me. Very nostalgic. Everything they talk about I pretty much experienced, plus more. Nothing is better than your adolescent years. Hopefully one day we get to revisit them.

I saw you guys on Kelly & Ryan perform this song and I couldn't help but cry, happy cry. It's because I saw you before perform "Won't Stop Running" and that was the day we found out my 22 yr old nephew had cancer. Sadly he lost his battle on Sept. 27th, 2017. He listened to this song when he was doing his chemo treatments. Thank you for your amazing music. You are touching so many people and it is truly appreciated
I'm 23, just graduated college this year, and the real world is hitting me in the face like a truck. It doesn't help that my dad and grandfather died shortly after starting college. But you know what? You can never discount the possibility of a wonderful future, no matter how good the past may have been to you.

Its funny because my childhood hasnt ended yet, but I can already feel the nostalgia when I watch old videos of me and my pals from elementary school or just talk with them about how we used to create the most ugly family in the sims 3 on our every birthday party (it took so long we didnt have time for actual gameplay). Or how we write an entire book because 2 of our friends were dating and we wanted to make parody out of it (it was fantasy au, the girl was princess and the boy a homeless man). Damn the nostalgia strikes again i have to go before it kills me bye

I know what you mean. I turned fifteen recently and I'm already working on my career as a fiction writer. It's weird because I remember ten years ago, I told my Mom I wanted to be an astronaut. I had dreams of going outer space and was only worrying about playing with my brother and sister. But at the same time, I know that I'm still a kid. Anxiety makes it harder to be a kid but I''m a kid nonetheless. I suppose all we really can do is move forward and strive for happiness, right?

Same, this is mostly nostalgic because my parents think I do things they don’t want me to and my brother and I used to hang out, now he ignores most stuff I say. Honestly I wish I never had hormones because dating and liking somebody is what started drama and opened the world to me and many other people to being drama thirsty.

Adore this song and completely relate. I'm only 15 (almost 16) but in primary school life was so much easier. I was so much more confident, optimistic and excited for what life would bring me. Now I've gone through crap, my mental health sucks and I worry about everything. I just wanna go back to when life was easy and I didn't have a care in the world.
I'm 17, almost 18, and I have your exact problems. Primary school was so awesome, I had so many friends, good grades and a lot of fun. Now it's the exact opposite. Life is extremely stressful. I barely have any friends, and only one that I'm seeing outside of school (and only about once a month). I have never had a girlfriend or boyfriend and if my life continues like this, that won't happen until I'm about 30, if at all. School is taking everything out of me, I'm always tired when I get back home and have to spend the rest of the day studying for exams or doing homework.
Listening to this song makes me depressed. I feel like I'm missing out on being a teenager entirely. Once you're an adult, you can NEVER EVER go back, and I'm scarily close to being one.
Hey friend! Take it from a medical student: you need to make time for you. There will always be more work and more studying and more constructive things you could be doing, but once in a while, you need to chill out, blow off your work and just enjoy yourself. There's nothing wrong with that, and if you get 2% less on a test because you were looking after your mental health, that's okay. Pushing yourself is useless if you stress yourself into a mental breakdown. As for the boyfriend/girlfriend stuff, don't worry about it. You never think it will happen until it suddenly does.
