@J Yes, I have yet to see someone do that. Maybe a polite acknowledgement or hello and just continue on your way or with your business. If you happen to be making a recording at the time perhaps ask them to step aside if they obscure your shot.

Biggest joke is, a man on the phone for half an hour talking wouldn't arouse any suspicion but he could be talking to an accomplice telling them the comings and goings but instead then harass a man who is making society safer by recording in public. If there were any incidents they would appeal for footage.

JB I have CCTV ring doorbell the police and council repeatedly turn up telling turn off the monitoring then when a person brutally attacked out side my home they wanted the footage I told the police it was turned off under the orders of police and council they was well pissed off. It’s was over two gangs turf war over drugs so they lost out as they told me not to record thick twats

Noon - I notice that a lot of them now do "understand" it. When these audits started a few years back, they ALL had an aggressive, hostile attitude.

The biggest issue is that if you are a victim of crime ie burglary you can’t get the police to attend your home but they can spend lots of time and effort questioning a person with a camera in public. They need to use their resources dealing with real crime and protecting the public.

I'm a biker/rocker I often wear a bullet belt (empty shell cases) I was chatting to my friend who is an armed police outside the Russian Embassy after about 20 minutes I wandered off down portabello road when two plastic plods approaced me saying the belt was an offence weapon I told them if I was trying to hit someone with it it might be but I wasn't and so it was ok they kept on moaning and said they were calling for the police I said no need I was talking to my friend earlier who is a proper police man not a glorified traffic warden like them and said I'm sure there a few cars around the corner they could book and walked away they can't stop me I have done nothing wrong or unlawful and they have no powers of arrest anyhow
When that lone copper asked if you needed any help, he was thinking along the lines of giving you a tour of the station's custody suite, after "helping you" down the poorly lit concrete stairs leading there.

She is breaking the law by impersonating a police officer by wearing a police helmet, it should be a PCSO helmet.
She works for the police, hence why she is entitled to wear an item of clothing that says police on it. The P in PCSO stands for Police.
