Forgot to say….excellent work! My 19 year old son is an artist too and does stuff like this. I appreciate all the work that goes into your pieces. We’re from a tiny village in the arse crack of nowhere in the Scottish highlands and I reckon art has saved all 3 of my kids from going feral!
Thank you so much for showing your process! 🙏 So cool to see! Do you varnish the piece? I'm doing a video on my first wood cut out atm, and i'm really enjoying this art form!
I have done a few with a Resin coat which turn out really cool, but is also a lot of work. But I also have used a Spray Polyurethane that after a few coats gives the piece a nice shiny and protective coat.
its usually just scrap pieces of wood that i come across. A lot of times you can find wood for free on craigslist. But you can also get good pieces from the hardware store. I would just recommend not using regular plywood, because you wont have a nice smooth surface to paint on.

Hey I want to start the journey of making my own wood art . How do you hang them on walls ?
That’s awesome! It can be as simple as getting a couple screws and putting them evenly on the back and using string or wire to attach them.
What kinda cool is this again
🔥🔥🔥
WHAT BRAND OF PAINT MARKERS DO YOU USE?
POSCA, MONTANA, SHARPIE, ELMERS, OR ANY OTHER PAINT PEN
What type of wood do you use and where do you get it from??

Would you recommend mdf boards then? If so what size?
what do you use to hang on wall?
I use looped hanging screws with hanging wire.
Woodglut plans are amazing!
