    Motocross Action Magazine tests the 2022 Husqvarna FC450 at State Fair MX in Southern California. This was the 2021 450 Motocross Shootout Winner last year. With a small update to the engine, new graphics, lowered suspension, and extremely broad power-band the Husqvarna is back to compete for another win with Motocross Action. Assitant Editor Josh Mosiman breaks down all the details of the bike, what has changed, and how it performs on track. Our TESTED videos are the most detailed new bike videos you'll find from a motocross media outlet. If you're in the market for a 2022 450 look no further.

    Above"professional" test review! Very thorough, told us everything we needed to run out and purchase this 450 Beauty! That said, you've taken the #1 media position of Motocross magazines! Keep on Grow'n!

    Is the lowered suspension a disadvantage for a really tall rider 6’4”?

    Question for anyone on this bike. I own this bike and one thing I notice is especially with closed off air box (but also vented one) sometimes I will get a slight hesitation at initial crack of the throttle as slow speeds. Unsure if this is an ECU issue or lack of air. Does MXA or anyone that rides this bike recommend drilling additional air box holes like they did on the older KTMs prior to them offering their vented air box? Thanks for the help.

    These reviews are great, what would be even better, if you could harness this energy and intensity and talk about minis (50s, 65s, 85s, superminis) on a regular basis as well. I love hearing about these 450 monsters, but let’s face it, how many brand spanking new 450s do you see at your local tracks every spring? Maybe a half dozen or less? Now how many new minis do you see every spring when the racing season starts up? Moto dads reliving their youth through their kids wanting them to have the latest and greatest. Except, do they really have that MXA unbiased opinion to rely on, nope, unfortunately they don’t. And although I appreciate the review you did on the TM112 recently, really? A TM? I’ve seen maybe 3 of those on tracks here in the Midwest in my entire life. Trying to say, maybe try to not focus on reviewing the most expensive, top of the line bikes all the time, especially when, like in this case, the Husky 450 received now significant changes this year. Why not just say, for 2022, read / watch the 2021 video, it’s the same bike.

      problem is the kids that ride the minis to the extent that you want to hear about dont exist. a 8 year old doesnt understand what a fork change feels like let alone understanding how a offset in the triple tree works.

      And to be honest a 2001 YZ 85 is relatively the same as a 2022 YZ 85. Very little advancement or technology goes into the mini bikes.

    How long until the frame snaps at the steering head?

    • @tcmx712
      @tcmx712 2 роки тому +1

      They haven't done that since the frame was stiffened up in '19. The '16 through to '18 models were the problem bikes and even then it didn't happen too often

      @@daniels1263 the frame on some 16-18 model ktms would snap up near the triple clamps on big jumps. Supposedly thin steel and rust build up would cause it to fail. The 19 models where thickened up in that area, KTM said they did it to stiffen the chassis for sharper handling but everyone knows why they really did it. Just a quick look through the forums and you'll see (I'm a ktm lover aswell not some yammie fanboy hating, just saying the truth)

    I've been reading MXA for over 30 years. They are my go to mag for real world accurate information. They don't just go around the track for a day or two. The bikes are raced by many different riders for months on end. No one else will do for you what they do. PS - ummm ... no they don't get paid a penny to like or dislike any particular bike. In fact, they've lost a ton of advertising money over the years catoring to fact and reality instead of bowing to the factories. Pretty obvious some of you don't live in that realm so, as Steve Tyler once said, Dream On.
