Some of the best golf on UA-cam. One thing I love is knowing that I see every shot with you. You’re not too proud to post your bad shots and that speaks a lot about your character. All of my buddies who recently started golfing have been put on to your videos. Thank you and stay true to yourself!
Hey Adam, I had a video conference with Steve Madden Monday. I found swing tweaks through your channel.. I made sure to shout you out and what an amazing dude he is. He was so nice and extremely helpful. He also had nothing but nice things to say about you. Wanted you to know that we all love your content 🤘🏻
Mental game coming in strong again. I like your quote from another video about “your next shot could be the best shot of your round”. I need to get better at avoiding negative self talk after blowups
I love watching your channel and golfsidekick. You give me a mid handicapper hope that I can be a single digit handicap I just need to hit more greens with my approach shots and keep it in play off the tee. I've been practicing putting and chipping a lot so I've improved and brought down my handicap by 2.5 in the past few months.
I love your channel. People talk about the swing all the time but you are out here playing the game of golf (and better than most). So inspiring to me. I hope you get a million subscribers, because honestly it’s shocking to me every time I watch your videos and see that you are not one of the most famous golftubers out there.
Absolute credit to you. You epitomise good course management, not getting ahead of yourself and maximising what you have. I do marvel at how generally straight you are. Bravo. Please keep these up.👍
Love your channel Adam it’s real golf. I don’t understand that you have to putt out every hole and won’t take a gimme. What’s with the angry viewers that need to see the ball in the cup whether it’s 2 inches or 2 feet during a casual round, you’re a great putter take the gimme
5:13 I think you're right with this play 150 yards over 3 wood. Even though the new prevailing thought seems to be hit every shot as close to the green as possible. This is also an excellent example of imagining the odds. The odds on a 3 wood going where you want from there is near zero.
Agreed! I buy into the "proximity" theory but there are limits. If your dispersion with a long club is all over the place (like mine is with a 3 wood) and there's trouble everywhere, I'll play the safe shot every time.
You should be hitting from the left side of the tee box, almost everytime, with your draw. Your drives on 6, 7, 10 & 11 would have ended up perfect / in play. Which would have prevented your "fix" on 13 as well. Give it a try. Love the content!
Adam, I've watched your content for many months, I joined when you had 10k subscribers. You always talk about having a bad swing but it doesn't seem like you take the time to improve yours and focus on ball striking. Your distances should be going up on all clubs as your handicap goes down. It seems this is not happening because your game is 90% mental, your ball never seems to compress when you hit which is limiting your game significanly. Additionally the apex of your shots is very low due to your lack of follow through. Would love to see you improve this part of your game to push yourself closer to scratch. I doubt this would get read but want to share my thoughts on your game. Hope if you read you dont take too critically, im just a guy on the internet.
Always appreciate the feedback even if I admittedly filter most of it out (don't like too many thoughts in my head). My swing is indeed dog shit. I just don't love grinding on it, to be honest. I'm pretty content going out there with what I have. I love being on the course more than I love working on my golf swing.
If I was playing a round with you and you said, Oh I didn't commit, I would say what is your problem Adam. Then I would say, stop, think and then ensure you commit. I have friends who do the same and I say to them, well if you don't commit, you will always hit a bad shot, think about that. One thing in my game, is I always commit to what I want to do. I may still hit a bad shot, but I never have to question my commitment.
Hi Adam Love the Channel. Just feedback on “learning the line” you mention your buddy behind you. In tournament golf I believe that’s unruly and you could get penalized. So it could be good to bring up.
Curious when you are backing off do you just try to swing easier? I found that leads me to stop in my swing. About a year and half back i made the switch to thinking I'm swinging a 3/4 swing with a full follow through and it actually has made those little shots like that much better. I keep my whole body moving through the whole shot so i get better contact. Since you have that pitch and putt swing down might make some sense for you
@@NotAScratchGolfer yeah i mean im not gonna say it's perfect. But my arccos data says it's been better than before. Anything that helps you feel more comfortable over a shot right?
Titleist TSR2 driver (10.75°) with a Riptide CB 50g stiff shaft Honma TR21 Big LB 3 wood (14°) with a Vizard 60g reg shaft Titleist TS2 3 hybrid (19°) with a Mitsubishi Tensei 65g reg shaft Titleist TS2 4 hybrid (23°) with a Mitsubishi Tensei 65g reg shaft Sub70 6i-GW with MMT 90g reg shafts Sub70 JB Full Face SW (54°) with a KBS Tour 120 stiff shaft Sub70 JB Full Face LW (58°) with a KBS Tour 120 stiff shaft And the old trusty Scotty Cameron Futura 5.5M putter 33" with a Flatso 2.0 grip
TRY THIS. Under a tree, no room for a long back swing. You won't believe how far the ball will roll. Take your driver, don't laugh until you try this, choke down to the bottom of the grip, and give it a good stiff, putting stroke. IT WORKS. Or do a round house, keep the driver head low, swing around your body. Experiment. You will be amazed how far you can advance the ball with minimal effort. Your welcome. 😁😁😁😁😁 Love these videos.
I've flip flopped on this. I kept stats for a full year using this mentality, but at the end of the year the stats showed that my approach game was great (lots of greens in reg) and that my putting was weak. That's obviously not reflective of my game. So I switched to the PGA Tour methodology - it's only a green in reg if the ball is on the putting surface.
Heya! Of the public courses, I think Fraserview is just a fantastic muni. Redwoods would be on my list, too, but it's closed or semi-closed for a while for pipeline construction. I also really love Kings Links. Finally, Northview Ridge is on my list, too! As for private tracks, I love Shaughnessy as a pure golf course, and if you factor in setting, I'd put Cap near or at the top of the list!

Your golf swing is like a hula hoop literally around your waist. Need that to be more vertical. Play with some great golfers and take notes and ask for help. You can’t get good just assuming your good.
Lol a hula hoop is a good analogy. Despite my best (albeit limited efforts), I'm comfortable with my super flat swing. It definitely limits the ceiling of my game, but c'est la vie.

That was by far the funniest YT ad I've ever seen. As always, great video about playing the course, so it doesn't play you!

Thanks for the kind words.
You're one of my golf heroes man thank you for everything you do. I use about 5 of your tips every round.
Awesome to hear, and thanks for the kind words.
I enjoyed the title change in under 2 hours. I think this one is way better. Speaks to more people 😍😍

Shana Tova!
I practice my wedges - a lot - I feel I can get up and down from almost anywhere close to the green. Makes a massive difference!
12:34 I saw that XD I really enjoy your videos man.
Looking forward to the game.. we are in Vancouver this sat!!
Just texted ya. At long last let's tee it up.
Can you do a video on the new clubs? Look nice!
Yes, coming soon!
As a high handicap, my course management rule: “if I was good at this game, I wouldn’t be going to work on Monday.”
Love it
"The people on UA-cam get very angry if they don't see the ball go in the hole." 🤣🤣🤣
Great vid. Thanks again, Adam!
Your short game is great. That's what saves your score, not your course management imho. Genuinely impressed that you can keep 3 hdp with that swing
Great video man, really enjoyed it

I love it. “Golf”, not “golf swing”
I would completely agree with that sentiment. Proud to see your channel grow, all the best, Adam.@@NotAScratchGolfer
Shana tova!
Shana tova!
what course was this? And thanks for a great video!
Richmond Country Club in Richmond, BC, Canada.
I wouldn’t think wind would affect your irons as much as low as you hit them.
I always enjoy the bad shot count. People don’t realize that you can still score well with 15-20 bad shots a round.
Would be cool to see a WITB video if you’ve updated anything since the previous one.
Also, what’s the “scrambling” stat represent?
I have one in the works! Scrambling = how many times I made par after missing a green in regulation.
Your short game makes you look lucky but its happening too often to be luck 🙂
haha thanks

Usually I try to choke down a bit and move my feet a little closer together. Results have been...mixed.

IMO if it's puttable, it's a green in reg 👍
