Seeing both boards get wiped at the same exact time in game 1 is the most anime moment i've ever seen in an IRL duel. Pretty amazing and fitting for the setting of the duel lol.

@@cherrycreamsoda4253 Well, I mean technically it wasn't Jaden's deck. Cause in the manga it was this pro who used hero's where as in the anime it was never explained. Crazy thing though is that he is technically right, also Jaden never beats Aster, just sayin'. So, you know data proves he's right, all I am saying.

@@andiwillbloominwinter2020 debatable, in some aspects it is, but many decks are way over complicated and it creates a meta that you have to follow or get left behind.
@@Nobody1mportant999 Any metagame is boring, though. Even GOAT format was extremely repetitive. Sure, meta Yu-Gi-Oh is absolutely shit, but the casual games are a lot cooler now.

Favorite Hero needs a field spell on your field spell zone to be active in order to gain the ATK boost and targeting protection. When entering battle phase you can activate Favorite Hero to activate a field spell from your deck

@@shahirrizvi7977 Kuriboh. Pretty much monsters with effects that you can activate during your opponents turn from hand. There's lot of strong one today. First one was Kuriboh way back.

@@shahirrizvi7977 Kuriboh was the first hand trap. The whole concept of the hand trap was if you lost your whole field you'd have something you can discard to survive. It evolved from that to what we got now. Which is pretty much take some actual trap and slap those effects on some monster. Pretty much they take mirror force put it's effect on monster. Then you discard it and it does what mirror force would do. That's what it is pretty much. Today there's so many kinds of hand traps which do all traps would do that there's no reason to use traps unless they are archetype based and needed to play some archetype.
Magicians' souls does so well in the dark magician deck. Damn you spyrals.
Shmaden should have known better. Yugi always draws the card he needs.

That was epic when dark burning magic was activated and masked changed and form change were chained and eternal soul was destroyed. Felt like something that could have came straight from the anime.

As a Dark Magician player, let me clear a miss understanding that I saw in the second duel, when he banish Liquid and Shadow Mist: Magician’s circle can only banish once per turn 😅 but still, this duel was fun to watch. Keep it up guys 👍🏻
I’m just getting back into Yu-Gi-Oh for the first time since like 2016. It’s been a little overwhelming trying to get caught up on everything, especially link summoning. But it’s great to see that you guys are still making great content that’s enjoyable even for an out-of-the-loop guy like me. Great stuff!
22:02 Misplay: Escuridao specifically requires an "Elemental HERO" monster + 1 dark attribute monster so you couldn't use acid. Fun fact: Absolute Zero is the only Omni-Hero that doesn't specify "Elemental HERO" monster

Yeah I play the Hero deck and for a moment there I thought I’ve been playing it all wrong. If Wonder Drive could add a fusion/ploky/change from GY to hand, he would be soooo OP

@@TheChozenOneTV I don't have enough Dark Magician cards to build a pure deck out of, so i used the ones i have in conjunction with Blue Eyes,Silent,Toon,Artifact,Ghostrick,Horus,and Buster Blader cards, i also run a D/D/Ancient Gear Deck. Heroes aren't the only decks i'm looking to run, i'm also interested in running Red Eyes,@Ignisters,Vampires,Noble Knights,Phantom Knights,and Magical Musketeers.
austin lawrence yeah DM decks and cards can be super expensive especially now that they have been thrown into the meta. I hope you eventually get all the cards you need!

For the first duel Xtra Hero Wonder driver doesn’t add the polymerization to the hand it sets it to the spell and trap zone
In game 2, he could've used the fusion's effect to draw a card after he used Soul Servant in the graveyard.

While Jaden was studying at Duel Academy, his cousin Shmaden went through a Duelist certificate program. It focused less on combos and memorizing rulings and more on duel disk and air conditioner repair.

We need an animated version of this duel.
Just to point this out, The Dark Magicians’ effect to draw is a Trigger Effect (which are always Spell Speed 1) and starts a new chain after another chain has resolved.
It should go like this:
Chain Link 1: Shadowmist
Chain Link 2: Dark Magical Circle
Chain Link 3: Mask Change
Chain Link 4: Magician Navigation
After that chain resolves, The Dark Magicians’ effect activates to let you draw 1 card because a Spell/Trap card or effect was activated during that chain.
