- In this video I decided to make a detour on the way to my hotel and explore Paharganj main bazaar. The shoe cleaner guy there made my shoes look brand new again. I bought some coconut but ended up gifting it to a beggar lady that kept following me. Also I bought some brown looking tooth paste which I never saw before.

wasnt just cleaning, man had soles put in em too, it prolly costs around 100-200, lets take it a max at 200, the cleaning should cost no more than 200(i would personally say it to be a rs 100worth), the final price considering the max prices is no more than 400, definitely a scam tho. i personally would pay like 300 and not consider it a rip off.

@@sanilthakur1048 those poor women are mostly begging against their will, and are forced to beg by their abusive husbands, who are also rich and are addicted to drugs alcohol weed and what not. Most these beggers work under someone else and are forced to beg due to poverty and no belongings. They usually don't have family connections either so they don't have a choice. Finding a job if you're not physically struggling isn't hard here in India. Beggers who have physical disabilities can't help themselves so its reasonable to help them but avoid beggers who are physically well. I'm from India btw.

They aren't beggars, they are criminals in the form of beggars. They should be behind the bars. I don't understand why government isn't doing anything to get rid of such morons. They do nothing even they are healthy, energetic and in good circumstances. They irritate you upto the end of your patience in the name of GOOD KARMA, GOD Or something like that. You are in whatever mood, they just spoil it. They are spoiling the dignity of the country. But who fuckin cares here. We are shouting that we are VISHWAGURU and making fool of ourselves.

I really felt bad after seeing someone getting their shoes cleaned/polished adding a thin foot padding for 700rs in India. Tim please be careful during your visit in India. There are a lot of genuine and helpful people in India. You can even hire a budget guide for 500-600rs a day rather than getting scammed in the streets of cities. Enjoy your trip.

Paharganj in Old Delhi is worst place in the country where most foreigners go when they land first in India. Paharganj is heaven for scammers and very dirty, close to it there is huge red light area full of drug addicts. foreign people go there have bad experiences and then that's their impression of the country. it's a pattern that worst places in India are most visited by foreign tourists and best places are least visited by them. India's tourism ministry is not doing enough to make foreign tourists know about best places in India. by the time local Indians recommend good and beautiful places foreigners are already gone.
They know about the wonderful places but they love visiting these crowded ugly places becos its cheap and interacting with locals is easy.
Tim, I know when compared to other currencies the Indian items are cost very less but forget that. Things above don't spend more than 40rs. for any service that takes 5mins service (Other than Professional services)
