It's easy to poke fun at haye but as a cruiser weight he was devastating and one of the most exciting fighters ever. But even at this stage he had to many miles on the clock. He demolished his body in training and in sparring and his fights were at such a pace. A bit like mike tyson, the explosive fast style burns you out quick. Should have retired at 30

@@SychoSam usyk has nothing like the miles that haye had though. Usyk still looked extremely fast against chisora. Usyk could only beat Joshua on points by stealing rounds with better boxing but he has Joshua's reach and that uppercut is always there if he gets inside which he is going to have to do. Having said all that I believe haye beats usyk in his prime. And let's be fair to haye he made chisora the best he has ever been and his enthusiasm for the sport is great to see. Haye always new how to manipulate things and sell a fight.
Looking back now after we've seen Haye's body fall apart and Fury rise to the top it's easy to say that but Haye definitely had a decent chance. I would have Fury as the favourite but it's no mismatch. Fury has a low output and Haye had the speed to avoid punches coming his way so a lot of the rounds could've been close with neither man landing much. Haye definitely had the power to drop Fury and a knockdown or 2 would give him an edge if it went to decision (which it almost definitely would).
I think he didn't want it, he'd taken too much punishment and his body was starting to fall apart. Plus he was still having nightmares about Wladimir taking him apart. Valuev had no real skill and still made Haye work for it, but against big guys who could box a bit Haye struggled.
Warrior as a cruiserweight, disgraceful at heavyweight seeing as he didn't beat anyone of note other than a washed up John Ruiz who was near 40 year's old

Young Tyson sounding like he's on helium
AJ vs Miller gloves off!!!!! How many times we should repeat ourselves?!?!
It’s funny how fury makes fun of haye for fighting chirosa… fury is never not contradicting himself
Lol fury fought him 3 times after the second time beating he shouldn't have had again 😂
Now fighting Chisora makes no sense but back then Derek was really good
I wonder how David feels looking back at this haha.
His commentary on BT says how he feels looking back at this.
@@MartinGonzalez-ki8kn I wonder how he really feels.
@@sdkhx salty as his commentary and interviews on BT sport tell ys
@@brettharter143 No. How he Really feels. Not fake feelings on camera
What a character this bloke this. Love him!
Should have retired at 30
Managed to squeeze a fair few million out of those last debacles though and didn't take too much punishment (except his toe).
False. The 4 year layoff burned him out quick
@@SychoSam no he had already burnt the miles before that. Look at the pace of his early fights he was insane
@@sagelight7777 same with Usyk. People think he can go against AJ like he did when he fought Joyce but Usyk was in his mid 20s back then. Now he's 34 and gained at least 30 pounds since then
@@SychoSam usyk has nothing like the miles that haye had though.
At 9:37 someone said "Don't stand on his toes please!" 😂
How stunned David Looks at Tyson’s remarks at 2:50 me everytime 😂😂
Vintage Fury when everyone was writing him off, but they all know the truth now
Come on who really thought Haye would've won this? Even back then.
@@ExecutionerHopkins and still people think so till this day. The gypsy king reigns supreme ☝️
Prime Haye was firee
Haye was 2/7 favourite, Fury was 3/1 to win
Haye still had it back then, would have been a great fight
Hayes a warrior but he bottled it!!!
I think he didn't want it, he'd taken too much punishment and his body was starting to fall apart. Plus he was still having nightmares about Wladimir taking him apart. Valuev had no real skill and still made Haye work for it, but against big guys who could box a bit Haye struggled.
Warrior as a cruiserweight, disgraceful at heavyweight seeing as he didn't beat anyone of note other than a washed up John Ruiz who was near 40 year's old
All jokes aside David Haye was a good to watch Boxer. Would have been fun if he was 100% and could fight Tyson Fury. Even tho he would lose. David Haye needed more height or power to reach the top.
He hasn't bottled it he's happy for a payday, cool, calm, and collected.
He set tyson off on purpose that's his job to fight.
@@jimmyjohns8199 Chisora
Fury would humiliate & hurt him. Fury is on a different level. I would loved to see Fury smash this fraud
Well considering Haye’s long retired I think you’ll be waiting a while.
@@gzz8551 Haye is fighting again...
@@Swearengen86
Well he certainly shouldn’t. The Bellew fights were embarrassing.
@@Swearengen86 Bwahaha, Haye just doing it to suck out that guys comment
4:43 'You're only interested in fame and fortune' Tyson Fury, July 2013 Fast forward: Aug 2023 - Avoids all difficult opponents, holding his belt hostage for more than a year, to take on an MMA fighter who's never boxed before and starring in 'At Home with the Furys''
Crazy that this was 11 years ago, Chisora had not long been chinned by Haye at Upton Park and he’s still going!
Tyson always 10 steps ahead in skill and fighting ability and confidence. He practices exactly what he preaches! Proofs officially in the pudding 👍
Ngl I couldn't stop laughing at Haye's saying "he misses and punches himself in the face" line lool 😭😭😂😂
You could never question Fury's desire when it comes onto fighting for a higher ranking or a World Title, but it's a different type of champion mindset when you're the highest ranked and got the Belt(s). This is something he's yet to prove... for 6 years waiting!
And now he’s done it
@@manzilla48 He certainly has, credit to the Man.
The stand up bit😆😆😆😆
You’ve got to admire David Haye for being a dreamer. Not in the same league as Tyson Fury. Love the banter.
