- This gameplay tutorial for Mechwarrior Online shows you how to utilize your Mech to it's best extent. I'll give you a rundown of the build and what it is made for and show you the actual combat role in two games on the battlefield.
Mechwarrior Online is a competitive first person shooter where you build and pilot massive Mechs and prove yourself on the battlefield. The game is based on the Battletech franchise, which originally was a science fiction tabletop game in the 80s. Big part of the game is configuring your loadout and find the best match of missile, ballistic and energy weapons for your playstyle. The weapon variety ranges from devastating autocannons over particle projectors to deadly arrays of laser beams. On the battlefield your team of 12 Mechwarriors fight the enemies on rather small arena-type maps. Teamwork is crucial here because a single Mech does not survive long if it steps in front a full firing line. Communication and teamwork is key on your journey to glory and victory.

I am using Haven Kendrick's Soundpack! Download it here: / haven_kendrick . To install, simply locate your Mechwarrior Online installation folder, open "Game" and you will see lots of .pak files. Drop the sound mod file into that folder with the other .pak files, restart the client, and you are good to go!

That was sine seriously good team cohesion in the first game. Trading tanking with that Atlas is probably the only reason your position didn't get overwhelmed initially, combined with great supporting fire from behind you.
They had about 2000 damage between the two of them, it was awesome.
Today on Cooking with Baradul - Hot & Spicy Big Boi with extra cheese and all the lasers you can eat!
And by "Cooking with Baradul" we actually mean _with_ Baradul himself as an ingredient being cooked thanks to all that self-inflicted heat.
Great teamwork in that first battle.

Man. Pootytangosaur from the first game is an OG. He was around when I was playing MWO a ton 6-7 years ago. Going to MechSpecs every day, theory crafting and min/maxing everything, testing crazy and often very stupid builds. So much fun. Can't believe it's been so long.
Seems fun in theory, but waaaay too hot for me. I would do so many cooking shows with that mech!
Pooty was an absolute badass in that first match.

26 for Pulse, not much.... BUT!!! To many people that underestimate how fast a X-Pulse laser is. And DANG 26 for X-Pulse is literally a drill, that you stated! Lol

Was running the exact same hardpoint config on my stone crusher for some time. One of the spiciest builds ive played and it's fun.
Those were some really quick games... carnage!
This week on Cooking with Baradul! That first battle was pretty great with the Atlas tag team partner.

Massive dmg to yourself from heat including a heat death. That is classic Baradul
I went for 2 binary lasers and 9 ER mediums on my Stonecrusher. Naturally, it'll run a little hotter, but it can still deal quite a bit of damage. Might have to give the X-Pulses another try.
Hotter than this?! It's just an Annihilator-shaped shell around a pool of lava I think :p
Poor mech techs having to get the smell of singed baradul out of the cockpit.

This is a staring build that stares at you like a person who doesn't want to get caught staring.
X pulse lasers are beginning to grow on me.

Oh the heat the heat is real
When you find your self needing to cool down instead of waiting just shut down for 3 to 5 seconds you'll cool down faster that way.
Same as Talon. Just random comment to get the ball rolling

Why not have a cycle button so the heat says static or drops a little but you keep firing as you disengage?
That's what I do on mine. Cycle the large x-pulses. You'll cooldown as you do it and still bite back.

.68 cooling... i never go out with anything less than 1.2 and thats if im confident in my skills for that day
That's only true half the time though. Most of the time he's only firing the xpulses because he's not in range for all the mediums. And the SHS is more about trading cooling for more capacity.
The problem with the XPulse is that they really screw with your cooling readout. If they'd been standard pulse lasers the cooling would have been 1.2-3ish
The heat efficiency for this build is god awful. More meme-y then anything.
Interesting build, but seems way too hot. I'd consider swapping those 3xLXPLs for 3xLLs instead, using the saved weight to try for a std engine and add more shs. Either that, or maybe swap out a couple of the xMPLs for ERMLs to back up the LXPLs then keep the med XPLs for the arms-only.
Would fewer Med Lasers and more heat sinks have made this easier?
No. Because of how the game works you get ghost heat when firing already heated up. That is why he was charging in like a spear and stepped back to make sure he get the full damage

Laser duration > cooldown on x-pulse lasers. For Value/dps at least

Manei Domini Warhorn. From the 2018 loyalty program.
I think with the X-pulses you are wasting points on cooldown. You get almost as much DPS from the 4 points just in duration. I would put those points into Crit Reduction and Seismic
Idk these x-pulse seem kind of overturned. I clocked over 1500 damage with my LE boars head with just 2 large x and 4 med x. Rocking around at 70kph and being a brick.
Nah, they're kind of a weapon that's only good when your opponents are bad. Because they need so much face time, they're weak to getting peaked with short alpha strikes.
@@Aerowind but every map has been adjusted to increase brawl and armor has been buffed to heck and back. Idk.
Med X pulses are too hot if you ran straight med lasers with large X pulses for sustain you probably hit harder

This is kind of a terrible build; I mean, yes, it works to some degree, but you just melt yourself.
