- This gameplay tutorial for Mechwarrior Online shows you how to utilize your Mech to it's best extent. I'll give you a rundown of the build and what it is made for and show you the actual combat role in two games on the battlefield.
Mechwarrior Online is a competitive first person shooter where you build and pilot massive Mechs and prove yourself on the battlefield. The game is based on the Battletech franchise, which originally was a science fiction tabletop game in the 80s. Big part of the game is configuring your loadout and find the best match of missile, ballistic and energy weapons for your playstyle. The weapon variety ranges from devastating autocannons over particle projectors to deadly arrays of laser beams. On the battlefield your team of 12 Mechwarriors fight the enemies on rather small arena-type maps. Teamwork is crucial here because a single Mech does not survive long if it steps in front a full firing line. Communication and teamwork is key on your journey to glory and victory.

I am using Haven Kendrick's Soundpack! Download it here: / haven_kendrick . To install, simply locate your Mechwarrior Online installation folder, open "Game" and you will see lots of .pak files. Drop the sound mod file into that folder with the other .pak files, restart the client, and you are good to go!

Laser duration isn’t a debate on x-pulse lasers, you should ALWAYS take it.
Because x pulse lasers have the same cooldown and duration (0.25 seconds), one node of laser duration (3.75% of 0.25 seconds reduction) is equivalent to *five* nodes of cooldown (0.75% of 0.25 seconds reduction)
Time to remix some skill trees.
Surviving that first match was bonkers
Man, I love Baradul's mech naming. From the Rifleman called Waifuman to this Partisan called Party-San, it pleases the dad joker side of me.
I have been enjoying this combo of weapons on a few different mechs recently. The Fafnir Wrath does it with ECM, better heat management and more armour and I have been running my COR-7A with 2 x RAC5 and 2 x Large X-Pulse along with the AMS
LOL That single pulse kill was (chef's kiss).
I run something similar on Corsair 7A. RAC-5 and 3LXPLS, plus 4-ams and 2 light mgs (because I have the slots and they weigh next to nothing and add no heat, so might as well grab that extra 1.5 DPS). Sometimes also throw in one extra med or sm laser too as a backup, just because the slots and tons are there for it. The blacknight is faster and smaller hit box, but the Corsair has nice high mounts good for hill peaking, plus the ams. It’s a fun build.
About Holy Crab: try Champion King Crab, with XL Engine 360, 2 LBX10, 3 RLx10, 2Snubnose, 1 LL everything else is beagle and sensors (if need) armor and double HS, also LFA Or you could turn your LBX10 in 2 Rottary AC5 but 105 armor sides, 154 Torso and perks for speed, 68km of a Holy Crab monster

I'm all for checking fire but some of the people that walk into the line of fire probably could use s little reminder now and again to not do that.
How do you like this weapon combo when tracking moving targets at mid-long range? I expected the divergence to be a problem, but it doesn't look bad.

Yes, you can do that on the Cataphract 2X and some other mechs as well. Or with 3XPL and 2RAC5 on the Victor or Anni.. Great DPS, but you need armor. A lot.
is there a way to use the Kendricks soundpack AND have sound on the new weapons?
Oh, I'm making this immediately. I have way too many RAC and Xpulse builds so putting them together is just too good.
I run something like this on my Stalker Misery, though with an additional 2xmXPL for when they get too close.
Did a similar build with a ON1-V with a STD 300 2 LGX and a RAC5

unrelated request, but can you try the charger assault mech in mech warrior online? it has some insane small lazer quirks but i dont think its viable, even with 89kph stock speed.
Could you do a Battlemaster-1D 2x lxpl and 2x rac2. Can not get playing that mech right. Love your videos been watching for years :) "See you on the battle field" :)

Haha, was that the stock Charger in that second game? Eight small lasers? I remember as a kid laughing at that load out, but he managed 400 damage. Not too bad.
Check out the quirks they put on it for MWO. I've done 1200 damage with that as my personal best. I use ER Smalls, though.

8:45 That's the problem, why do huge map if 90% of the time the action is in the 4 squares in the middle.
Some new game mechanics are needed to exploit (with fun) the whole map.
i really want to get into this game i just feel like the playerbase is just continually getting smaller it makes me sad
I don't care for builds like this because you have to lead your target with the ballistic weapons which means your lasers are off target. I would be constantly missing my target unless they were really close.
The Black Knights always look so silly, like wanabe Cosplay-Knight
