Grip Training Instruction (Free Grip Products):

I have the Arm Assassins version with a post for Olympic plates. I used your how to videos from about 14 years ago and do the regular ROM and inverted. I think it's drastically underrated.
What improvements have you seen in your technique with TTK style training?
@@gripstrength I'm far from your level but it's definitely shown me how 1.) important the thumbs are and 2.) how much carry-over pinch grip training has. I do shoot for heavier weights and I'll do drop sets on it. I'll see a similar style of soreness as I would with heavy wrist curls or grippers. I think it's improved my grip but I agree with you that static/endurance and dynamic strength are too different paradigms. Either way thanks for the idea of doing them inverted, it's been very helpful.
@@finch8423 cool bro
Laine Snook used a TTK or modified TTK to help his thick bar lifting. He's really the only one I can think of who used it religiously and spoke highly of it.
Laine is a freak.. Exception to the rule
The thumb pad muscles are just called the thenar eminence, it doesn't have the prefix hyper. However the pinky pad muscles does have a prefix, called the hypothenar eminence. Also I love the TTK for basic training, I'm also not a crazy pincher (yet). Not super expensive esp if you wait till a seasonal sale
Once you start training for feats, I'm sure you'll abandon the TTK.
@@gripstrength you can just say "thumb pad", bro. Throwing extra words in there to make yourself seem smarter is pretensious and annoying. Don't be so sensitive when people call you out on your bullshit.
Bro, did you put on a singlet to hunt this video down, sand put up this reply?
Oh, and nice letters at the end of your name. How starved for attention and recognition are you?
Nobody gives a SHIT about those letters bro.
And you can hang your hat on my use of hyperthenar eminence as much as you want. I've heard BOTH thenar eminence and hyperthenar eminence used over the years.
Go brace your hand on your medial thigh and beat one out, so you can calm down and sleep tonight, since I hurt your poor little feelings so bad today, ya HYPERsensitive tool box.
@@gripstrength thanks for making fun of my clothes, confirming I've won this argument
Whatever let's you sleep at night bro.
what implement would be better for building up the thumb pad?
Fell free to email me. jedd.diesel@gmail.com
Hey Jedd which grip implement should I get first for starting other grip training. I started on grippers still love them but I'm looking to do other types of grip training?
Napalm's Nightmare from ArmAssassin.com
@@gripstrength I like that website thanks so much Jedd. They have Napalms nightmare 2.0. I'm thinking I should get that right?
@@TheGripMuse yes. The 2.0 is the current model. Standard size is 2&3/8, but it comes with many different handles, including pinch handles
@@gripstrength thanks bro thats big help now I know where to go when I expand.
The GD grippers with the thumb pad extensions are smaller and you can't cheat with your body weight
Not a bad point
Joe Kinney would disagree Napalm.
The TTK, his ‘Test For Breakfast’ squats and the Secret Weapon were the lynchpin to his unrivalled success…
Joe Kinney could no doubt do a double blob lift with one hand.
He's the Chuck Norris of grip.
@@allenheineck2359 Hope you’re doing well Alan. I do miss your TWIG chats…
Can ttk build your hand thickness
Yes but so can a pony clamp that costs $10 from a hardware store
