Bet you guys enjoyed the stick over the auto !!! These cars will pull out of corners at 3000 rpm and rev to 7500 , no g-box jumping around everywhere. Love the track day content
They both have their advantages, but rowing your own gears on this track is a bit easier. In hindsight, I think we could've popped 2nd on turn 7 (the hairpin after the esses). GT350 gearing is quite long which helps here. -Chris
@Steeda yes. That straight is a frustrating length too. Just a tad too long for 2nd, but too short to be shifting. Maybe a short shift to get into third, but would probably cost you in the double apex if having to downshift. Perhaps a downshift into first at the hairpin may have gotten you through the gears quicker down the straight, but would need some run time, and would certainly only increase the heat in the engine, trans, and diff.

Got to say away from the rev limiter on the track , that’s when you break belts and opg’s

What happened to the last couple laps from the first driver?
I wager it was getting too hot?
Yeah, I glanced at the oil temp and wanted to head in just in case. Turned out it was fine, but I wanted to play it safe. -Chris

1:20.3 for the first driver/novice, 1:19.1 for the second driver/experienced. -Chris
