First Track Day with my Shelby GT350

- Words can't describe the heavenly noises that come out of the GT350s high revving V8... So just listen! My first legit track day at PBIR was with this GT350 - probably not the ideal starter car, but I'm proud of how I did! Support us with some sweet merch :)

I also own one that I track. I have a few suggestions and must have mods you should consider.
-Camber plates are must for track duty and imo for even spirited street driving. I suggest Vorshlag as they are hands down the best on the market for the GT350.
- Caliper studs. These replace the factory front caliper bolts that thread into the bespoke aluminum knuckle. These require a whopping torque spec of 148 ft/lbs. Every time you remove these you compromise the threads in the knuckle. Replacing them with studs eliminates this issue. As a bonus you can order extensions that allows you slide the caliper back and off the rotor for easy pad/rotor changes.
-Springs. You mentioned getting R springs. I would suggest the Ford Performance lowering springs over the stock R springs. The FP springs are slightly stiffer and still work with MagneRide and do NOT require a calibration.
-Oil catch cans. I think Matt may have already done these. Probably the Ford Performance ones. If he only did the passenger side I’d suggest doing the driver side also for track use. Also a better quality setup would be the UPR kit.

Of you remove the springs you always need a calibration. Especially for track use.
Dominik Störk Ford Performance specifically states you do not in the installation instructions. These cars have sensors that can accommodate small changes. Otherwise the suspension couldn’t be very adaptive.
This guy knows his stuff and Vorshlag knows their Mustangs. I would highly recommend making the switch to camber plates along with 305 RS4's on the stock wheels.

One of my favorite videos yet. I love drifting, but I love grip racing even more. When you start getting used to the car on the track and exploring more of its limits, it's just a matter of time to become a passion. And when you see that you can handle that beast and lower your times, you just want to do it again and again. Loving it Adam, for real!

Adam line lock is a feature that locks the front brakes but not the rear so you can do burnouts “at the dragstrip”

You know man. You are always growing and changing your brand, this video was awesome. I love the drifting. I loved the bmx. Keep evolving. I’d like to see you take the gt350 to the track more. Make that a super sick track car.
Track day tip: Please listen to your instructor(s). At 3:04 and 3:16, your instructor tells you not to worry about the car behind you and then says to track out. You pulled to the inside, which is wrong. He said this because you, as the slower car, should stay on line and point the faster car by you off line. This makes passing predicable for both cars and slower car/driver stays on the line and the more experienced driver to handle going offline and back on line. And When you question being between gears, just stay in gear instead of downshifting; you'll spend more time wasted between shifts than the car just pulling a little slower in the taller gear. Stay safe. Keep the shiny side up.

this car is insane i have a 2016 gt with pp but the gt350 is another level, love the exhaust clips

Line-lock separates the front brakes from rear brakes so you can do burnouts easily

Awesome video as always. In case you didn't know, the "Line Lock" function you mentioned is for awesome burnouts! Essentially, it locks only the front brakes, allowing the rears to spin up and smoke as much as you like, then as soon as you release the brakes it peels out. Great for showing off, better for drag racing and seeing who can grip up and accelerate away first. Definitely play around with those track settings, there's some awesome stuff hidden in there.

Keep it as a daily driver & track car; the stock ties for the street, and a 2nd set of wheels with some stickier rubber, like the Michelin Sprt Cup 2 tires that came on the 2019 GT350...also install the Ford Performance catch cans (30 minute install for both sides) if you’re gonna track it regularly. This car has the sound of FREEDOM!

He's a know it all.
Instructors are a joke, just let the driver feel his car and actually drive. Only time i'd ever want to hear what they have to say is if they're a respectable professional driver who will actually give some useful tips. If the driver is waiting for the guy to tell him to brake then he will never learn when to brake cause he's just being obedient at that point, you learn by doing. That's why he said he's gonna take it slow at first to get a feel.
Line lock is for burnouts, so only front brakes work and rear brakes wont get roasted
eel1331 they added that for the drag strip as a way to warm up the rears. Not just for fun burnouts, but it works for that too

3) Give Nicole the BMW
4) Daily the GT350
5) Turn the s15 into a BEAST track/racecar
6) Keep the 240s as Drift Cars
7) Lift and put meaty tires on the f250

In my opinion Adam I think what would make it more interstingfor the future is if you make the mustang as a track build. I think it would be interesting but at the same time is your choice and your life so you choose what you want to do with it but, I think you should make the mustang as a track build like a peformance track build😊🤘🖒

Adam in case you are wondering what Line Lock is it is when you are at the drag strip (or if you want your neighbors to hate you) it is for doing a burnout. It disengages the rear brakes so you don't wear out the rear brakes. Thank me later.

LineLock is basically where you get your car to do a burnout. It locks the front brakes and then gives loads of revs, it’s supposed to warm up your tyres before a race
