This unusual little cleaver style knife looks great and while I love the handle concept, its not something I would be able to use due to its not being appropriate for the kitchen, but I can see it being suitable in other environments, so, kudos for a unique leather handle!
On a side note, that style of knife is very similar in appearance to a glazer's hacking knife I own... (look it up if you're curious)

Why would you waste so much time hand sanding before the quench just to do it all over again? Leaving a little extra meat on the bone when quenching will help prevent warps anyways, spend time hand sanding and polishing last 👍
