    I know, I know. The images are not sharp at all. I'm so used to shooting with the LC-A (which has an f/2.8 lens), that I forgot the LC-A 120 has an aperture of f/4.5 and this means that when shooting at 100 ASA, the shutter needs more time. Welp, better luck next time!

      It's okay Ed, we all still really enjoy watching the videos you come out with, maybe use the mamiya six next time. I love mine!

    Totally understand the humidity...it's like 90 degrees here in Michigan with super high humidity. Doesn't really help that I live in a third story apartment and it's been hot in my apartment...really makes it hard to control temps for black and white developing but it's great for color processing! As always, love the content and you really helped jump start my film photography fascination. Thanks for that.

    Love the woman with the umbrella. The colors of lomo 100 really match the vibe and feel of Sevilla. Great video, Ed.

    The color s offer something like a pastel feel. Something like old films from the 50s. I like it.

    I have similar issues with my LCA120 and ironically it seems worse with Lomography’s own 120 films. They tend to be shorter lengths with much shorter lead ins. I have found stopping a couple of inches short of the start mark helps. Also give the roll a bit of back tensioning, it helps with the spacing (loose wind). Lovely video btw!

    I know this isnt the point of the video but the music is so gooooood. But also fun video. I got into film photography because of Lomography but now I'm glad I got out of it. I'm not super serious in my photography but for the price I'd rather get a product with quality control lol.

    Hi Eduardo, nice review! Thanks for showing a us a part Seville.👍🏾 Pitty the pictures turned out not to be sharp. When shooting this roll of film I always use a tripod, handheld shooting is pretty difficult especially when you close down the aperture to create some “focus leverage”, and shooting on a slower shutterspeed. Funny you also mentioned the amount of frames you can shoot. I am shooting with a Hasselblad (6x6), and the first roll I got developed I thought the shop made a mistake when developing it, I got only 11 3/4 pictures😬. I also had them develop a Kodak Portra roll at that time, and that one delivered 12 frames. So getting less pictures is small downside of the Lomo Color100. One thing I also learned the hard way, do not underexpose this film, but overexpose it with 1 stop. Underexposing will give you some weird colors in the shadows.

    3:38 oh my god this girl is gorgeous. Im so jealous, because Sevilla is my favorite city on this planet, and its 4 years i havent been there.(because i was living in Ukraine to make pictures about war)
    ( my mother is from San Sebastian, my grand-mother went to live near Barcelona, but i love Sevilla so much that i dont have enough time to visit every place. And i was born in Paris, which is totally different )
    I saw your instagram stories, that was cool, thanks.

    As always, I enjoyed walking around and seeing photos with you-limitations of the camera notwithstanding. Sevilla is usually thought of a s a hot location but the temperatures seem comfortable, at least compared to the humid conditions in New York at the start of the video.

    consulta, como lo haces con el tema ético vegano si disparas film a cagar? creo que nunca te has referido a eso? saludos!

    • @edpavez
      @edpavez  5 років тому

      no he hablado de ello porque hay mucha gente que se ofende con el solo decir que soy vegano. pero la respuesta es simple: la gelatina usada en films son los restos de la industria cárnica. no me alegra que el film use gelatina, pero al menos sé que ningún animal es asesinado con el fin de hacer rollos de películas.

    • @JuanjoUribeDuran
      @JuanjoUribeDuran 5 років тому

      @@edpavez buena, no cachaba eso de que son restos de la industria. En un foro donde se habló de este tema comentaban que en su momento kodak llego a tener su propia granja por el tema de la gelatina, aun que no he encontrado respaldo de aquello

    • @edpavez
      @edpavez  5 років тому

      I scan my 120 film with a flatbed Epson 4490 so it’s really hard to know which are the “real” colors of the film and how much stuff has been changed by the scanner. Don’t take this as a film review by any means!

    this makes me think im quite sure this camera is way over priced, loosing a frame per roll, aperture, and plastic materials for 400$, id rather spend twice more for a proper one

    • @edpavez
      @edpavez  5 років тому +1

      I fully understand what you mean, but there's another way of looking at this: the only other camera that has a 17mm equivalent lens in medium format is the Hasselblad SWC, which costs about $2500. In comparison, this Lomo is a bargain if what you are looking for is a super wide angle 120 camera.

    • @hakimmoui4583
      @hakimmoui4583 5 років тому +1

      @@edpavez yeah i know and kinda agree, but for someone wanting to make the move to medium format (as I was, and considered this one at the time) I really think its too much money, but you made good point on the lens, its good to have you back man i was missing your videos :D Cheers
