At 4:55 if Morton had snowballed the magic archer he prolly could’ve won it tbh. But that was such a high pressure moment it seemed natural to just add as much damage to the tower as possible

@@bunsenburner3601 Just my opinion, surg did not hard counter. inferno has a lot of hp, valk kills ewiz and surg has nth for the mega minion so even if surg has zap it doesnt matter, as long as Morten defends in triple elixir he will outcycle surg's poison and Morten has the last-second defensive advantage spell which is snowball so battle ram will never reach the tower. Im not great at the game but reasonably surg has at most 60-40 matchup and its not that hard of a counter most think

Imagine going to the CR eSports final just to lose to one single hp. That lost is definitely the worst lost in eSports gaming history. I love how Surgical Goblin didn't overcommit on that first pekka push and just kept his elixir advantage.
That's what made him stand out from all of the other pros from his time. He had an immaculate sense of the game, even though mechanically he might not be as good as some of the newer generation of players, he knew what it took to win games and made huge clutch plays after clutch plays in tournament finals. I still remember that clutch prediction tornado onto the E Wiz to prevent his Xbow from retargetting against Nemsensei. What a player, we'll never see another Surg ever again
True but you won't see another morten neither, in this time his win rate was higher than from anyone else, that was really his prime and his game sense is phenomenal. He later said to the last magic archer that he noticed that his minion was misplaced and should have predicted this magic archer but he didn't because he wanted to make as much damage as possible, so the right play was after all just an afterthought@@tohnic441

@JOSHI KHUSH CHINTAN @Gitgud 2.0 @Gauri Athalye the magic archer missed the first shot because he was targeting the valkyrie. When the valk died, the magic archer targeted the mega minion. If there was no snowball, the shots through the mega minion would hit the tower.

I only call people unskilled when i can clearly tell that they put no thoughts into their plays but still win because of overlevelled cards. And dont say that overlevelled cards are not a problem because every level is arround a 10%buff to the card
