Nice to see another one of your winter camping videos with the Snowtrekker, even though im right in the middle of packing my gear for a 12 day spring brook trout adventure in northern Ontario. Interesting tip on laying down the processed stove wood to prevent slipping and unnecessary accidents. Incidentally, I love my 8x8 solo, but next year I'm ordering the 9x11.5 basecamp for hunting deer. Thanks for sharing another well done video.
wow, that's exciting. Anywhere I can follow your trips? ig? the 9x11.5 will be great with a friend or family and gear. So far my trips aren't so far that the extra weight has been an issue..especially since a travel partner pulls a sled too. One day tho i'll get a lighterweight stove but keep the big size for cooking and ease of use.
@@NatureIntoAction Returned recently from my spring brook trout adventure. It was outstanding in every way. Several 3-5lb brook trout, and lots of 15"rs for eating. This wet and rainy video is reminiscent of my recent trip. I noticed that you were the only *smart* one who brought rubber boots. I chose the same using a pair of Bogs and never looked back. My feet were warm and dry. And like you, I brought my Warbonnet with under quilt, snug as a bug in a rug while temps dipped to -2 Celsius (about 28 degrees Fahrenheit). Regarding videos - I have zero experience in recording or filming of any kind. But I have purchased some camera equipment and will be filming my upcoming 21 day fly-in solo trip into northwestern Ontario Canada. I actually just posted about this on Kelly's site. I have a Sony a5000 and a GoPro with extra batteries to get the job done. I'm hoping to get tons of footage and create a memorable video to share with some of the folks that I admire and follow like yourself. I'll certainly keep you posted, David. In the meantime, please keep on producing excellent footage like this one. Cheers!
That's 15 minutes from my house. I like the area. We travel in similar places . I also hunt and camp at Moose River plains . If I ever see you I'll stop and say hi.
cool, i'm almost 4hrs but love it up there. That Scroon area has a few spots on my " go to " list. I did two hunt trips to mrp and saw so little..might try an easier hunt this November but don't want to give up yet on what Ive learned there.
I’m in pa hike fish and camp local but also camp at paradox in ny starting going there b/c my wife’s grandparents went there while dating you should check it out super nice

Awesome trip. Was that an official camp spot?
@@154Jamesp thanks. Beautiful n quiet spot for a camp. I cant recall if I saw a disc but it was a wide open spot.
Just saw the video. Awesome. I travel to Hammond during deer and trapping season . It’s basically my backyard. Thanks for sharing
Beautiful place for sure! I hope to get back and visit Challis pond area too.
Awesome camp out. It's good to see at least one fish in the pond; that's all it takes to get me to go back. Mmmm...mint cookie crumble.
haha right on. Stewies icecream makes all trips winners.
This was an awesome trip. Lots of silence and gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. The snowtrekker made it super comfy!
Right on :)
Awesome fishing trip. You guys really know how to cook in the woods. Absolutely love the scenery. Cool video 👍
thx Jason. Winter camping sure is beautiful.

cool, thx for the tip. I've been up in the area at Pharaoh wilderness, Scroon and crossroads but not yet stopped at Paradox.
Are you guys from NYS? If so, where I grew up in Cicero NY love the area your camping in.
Mix of places, I'm from North Jersey. Hard to go wrong anywhere in the Adirondacks!
That’s the good life!
