Hello from the high desert of New Mexico, my name is James Mason and I live in my old bus in the desert and I think this stove would be perfect for me to cook with and stay warm this winter but I could never afford it, I don't have a job right now
I doubt that I could afford a titanium stove, so this would be my favorite of all the ones I've watched to demonstrate. I like being able to load it through a wider entrance rather than a small and lengthwise entrance. I just love everything about this stove. Thanks so much for the great demonstration.
You might find out that titanium or cast iron stoves don't transfer heat as they are insulated and most of the heat goes out of the chimney 😟. This one will get hot and keep you warm. Clever thing 👍
Pomoly must really put alot of effort in engineering these stoves to perform like they do. Very impressive- doesn't hurt having Jeremy review either. His word is very trusted.
@@judichristopher4604 I purchased one, waiting for it to arrive. I'll be installing it in my travel trailer using stove board heat barrier and venting through the roof. The "approved for mobile home" units are much too heavy for my 1600lb camper.
I just saw this on their website and the owners reviews were very positive! The tolerances on this stove are particularly precise to make it smoke tight, which befits a dweller stove which is not designed to disassemble for packing small. The cooktop is 3mm thick to prevent warping which is a really nice touch. The secondary air and baffle really impressed me, as did that truly spectacular window and its airwash system. I had been considering a small wood burning stove, even more so as the charges for electricity and gas supplies has skyrocketed in my country, as have petrol and diesel fuels, whereas I can get wood at no cost (other than to go and get it). It is clear that a considerable amount of thought has gone into this stove, and with its desirable features mentioned above and its very attractive, modern and purposeful appearance, its currently my favorite choice! For vans, cargo trailer camper conversions, truck campers, rv's and tiny houses and cabins, this beautifully made stove is a serious contender, at a very affordable price.
Wood stove technology has come along way in 25 years. Impressed the engineer considered secondary gas burner and the air wash vents for the viewing glass although, not convinced the viewing glass won't soot-up, but that is no big deal. -Good presentation!
Our stove has has the air wash feature. The glass WILL soot over if you turn the air intake to the lowest setting with some woods.....I suspect they have a little more moisture content than others, even though seasoned 2 years. But upon adding more wood, and opening the air back to full open, the soot is gone within a short time.
you’re a natural at talking to a faceless camera. great review, because of your review l bought this stove and absolutely swear by it. l use mine for my off grid shanti in the woods (which is about the size of a california king mattress with a roof on it). this stove is perfect for providing the perfect amount of heat and taking up very little space. thanx.✊🏼
Someone finally figured it out! The way it should have been since hot tent stoves were first designed. Now what it still needs are side windows as an option. An accessory that sits on top to increase the cooking area such as a griddle or something similar. Attachable side drying racks for wet socks or mitts or toques. Also an extra ash tray or some sort of plate to allow you to empty the ash tray while the fire is in full force so not to allow ash to fall below into the bottom and possibly out the vent hole. Fancy window patterns as another option! A top round wood feeding port would be nice like on older stoves! When all these options are introduced Pomoly won’t be able to keep up to demand and that’s when my money goes towards one! Great product Pomoly!! A few more tweaks and you will be leading the others by a long shot!!!!
I like your false bottom idea to be able to remove the ash pan while preventing ash from falling through. I think another tiny stove manufacturer has this feature.
Lonewolf, this was a very good demonstration video. You answered most of the questions and showed many good features. Thanks for also answering the viewer questions below, as I read them all and saved your answers for future.
This is one of nicest small wood stoves I've seen. Look well built. And the price is Great. Half the cost of other comparable stoves. Going to get one of these BadBoys ! Thanks for video. Good Vibes 👣
What a very, _very_ terribly pretty woodbox. Makes me want to take off into the bush to try to find myself someone's old, forgotten shed, to then convert into a cosy cabin... Cracking overview, Jeremy - thanks for being as comprehensive as ever. 💯 💛
That is one of the better designs I have seen demoed. Looks to be very well built with substantial stainless material and the price ain't bad either. Thanks for sharing.
Not a bad price. I paid over $1200 for my Dickinson P9000 propane fireplace with all the accessories. A wood burner would pump out more BTUs. The Dickinson gives off good heat but your cabin or van needs to be well insulated to get the best efficiency. They also sell a solid fuel stove for $625 + the chimney pieces, but it has only a small viewing glass on it.
Hello Lonewolf> seen from France> super stove! to clean your window you can take water and ash with your bare hands with a small sponge !!! Thanks WHO ?
Great review as all your videos. This stove is almost perfect. They should consider moving the exhaust pipe to back corner and moving handles to sides so there is room for a nice size fry pan on top. To me the stove is just good for heat, cooking area to small to be practical.
Just received my Dweller 2.0 last week. Haven't used it yet as I bought it for a 12' x 8' Solera Family Room I'll be installing on my Salem/Forest River RB167 travel trailer once the weather breaks. This area is the high desert in New Mexico and the foothills of the Rockies so nights get a might nippy here even during the warmer weather. I'll probably fire up the stove Sunday as the temps will be in the upper 50s for a burn-in. I'm assuming it'll throw enough heat and ambiance to make the room nice and cozy. Inflatable furniture and an outdoor carpet will complete the look and functionality.
Nice stove. Like the big glass window on the door, would let out nice ambient light in the tent or camper. Over all,I give this stove 👍👍up. Thanks for the share 👊💥
Love it, great presentation and very good wood stove.! 2 things: (1) Make sure a person has a both, a 'smoke detector' and a 'carbon monoxide detector'. A 2 in 1 combo unit 'or' 2 separate detectors. Either 110 volt 'or' portable battery operated ones. (2) Also I wish there was a 'little' more of a larger size "cooking surface" on top of the stove.
What would you recommend to have the smoke go out a window? Is there a accessory like a curved pipe and how would a curved pipe affect the performance?
Our canvas mountain man tents have a fireproof ring the stove pipe goes through... it should not be hard to get something simular and most old house wood stoves will have a horizontal stove pipe going to the chimney... Very fondly remember my maternal Grandmothers rural Maine farmhouse, had two wood stoves... a huge one in the kitchen and a heater stove in the living room about 4 feet tall on six inch legs and about 24 inches square likewise had a window that seldom fogged up... milk right from the cow, eggs from the chickens, SO much better that anything else you get today! everything cooked on the old stove!!! :)
Thanks for reviewing the stove! I really like it. Currently I live in Texas and I'm looking for something that I can put in my fireplace in a house that I'm renting right now just in case we have another power failure like earlier this year. I do have a little propane stove but this is so much better.
checked out the price online not that much, moving to a new smaller home and thinking this would do the job in stead of bring my larger plate steel and cast iron stove, and i could sell it for about the cost of the new stove. new home is in southwest states and well insulated. thanks for the well done demo.
The only issue that I see, is that the flue pipe sections seem to go together the wrong way round. The flue pipe sections are sliding over the outside rather than sliding/fitting inside, this will cause creosote to run to the outside of the flue pipe, that's if I have seen it right. Other than that, Nice wood burner.
I just bought one because I like the video it arrived quickly I haven't lit a fire yet looking at it my only concern is how fast the tray will fill up will I have to keep dumping the tray every half hour under constant use ? I think I would have made the bottom taller to put a deeper tray in .I will do another comment when I fire it off Still warm here in the smokies
So if I put this in my kitchen and put the pipe thru the wall where there's a vent for the cooker hood which actually blows air in the kitchen instead of out and take that out for the outlet pipe to this little stove will the wind blow down the pipe?
Good looking stove.... Now time for a wood pellet stove from Pomoly! It's about time we don't have to wake up every 2-3 hours to feed a fire, lets get a 7 hour pellet burn going!!!!!
QUESTION: How could I use one of these in my home? Do they sell a curved pipe that could go out a slightly open window? I could insert some kind of metal wind block item to the sides of the open window I suppose. I'd love to have one.
yes now that is really neat!!! Thing is, me being an ironworker, it would be super easy to build a square grilling pan with a slot going around the stove pipe.... that way you could easily cook spuds onions sausage & ??? for 3 or 4 people at one time!!! Now, the price $386 is a bit high, but its a great boy toy... I remember we built a simular size heating stove for our fire resistant 12X12' canvas mountain man pyramid tent and the tent was toasty in 15 minutes after being almost freezing outside...
Just got one of these and I have 2 questions does the top vent get stuck while it's burning ? Cause my does. Also.. the two holes on the top sides is that normal ? I feel like it could be a bad thing for carbon monoxide poisoning
Unless I am mistaken, it doesn't look like any of the chimney sections are insulated. How would you pass the chimney through a tent, or RV ceiling or anything else without creating a fire hazard? Is there some sort of adapter/fitting for the chimney section passing through the roof?
My house is only 1000 square-foot so, tiny. I’ve been thinking of a wood-burning stove but why not this for the bedroom? And since I live in Arizona it’s gonna look stupid in the summer time so I just put it away.
You should compare the Oroqen to the Dweller since they are both stainless steel and serve the same purpose! I have been trying to decide between the 2 of them!
Any tips on getting more draft in there? The pipe's pretty narrow. If I don't have perfectly well aged and dry wood, it just keeps going out and becoming a smoke fest.
Thanks for this review. Looks like a really solid piece of gear. I suspect it would be ideal for hot-tent car-camping or possibly suitable for transport on a pulk during Winter snow-backpacking.
Good video. For the people asking about the lack of a pipe damper assume that is because every thing is controlled by the air intake. Also people were confused as why you changed from metric to SAE in your video also assume that you reading off a a spec. sheet and like most Canadians you switch back and forth. I still use SAE for most of my stuff and luckily I work for an American company so it's not a problem for me but the younger workers get confused.
Can you put this in a home brick fireplace to use as emergency heat during a grid down situation? What add on if any would be needed? It seems more efficient at producing heat than my wood burning fireplace
I'm also wondering if it can be used indoors venting the pipe out of a window or such Ina emergency. You mentioned using in a tiny house. Can a curved price of pipe be made to accommodate this situation. Also , no mention of cost. Where is this made and what are the costs and shipping fr where. Thanks for posting this.
Great overview of the stove Lone Wolf - well thought out design. 👍 I was so impressed I decided to order one - it’s arriving next week. 🤣. Can’t wait to break it in.
We just got this stove, set it up in our tent and tried overnight. The door doesn’t close properly, so it doesn’t form a tight seal and smoke kept coming out into our tent all night. The only way we could stop that from happening was to keep the damper fully open so we had to load the wood every hour. Was a bit of a pain. I feel we’re not doing something right with it. Any suggestions?
In your opinion how do these style of stoves heat and burn vs the t brick style? I'm really interested in the lumberjack series but have the T Brick currently. Was thinking of getting the bigger T brick ultra but might get this style instead.
I have a fiberglass roof on my 2015 e350 super duty commercial vehicle I live in and don't know how I could make a hole to vent this stove? I do like it
Great video, brother! Do you think this would provide plenty of heat for the Pomoly Hex Plus 2-6 person? Or, would the Dweller Max provide better heat for temps below 30? Any input is appreciated!
Newb here. So all the smoke should go out the chimney. If you install inside a room/ camper you would crack a window so this doesn’t suck all the oxygen out of the air. Then your good. Right?
I notice that this one has the baffle. What's the longest burn time you've gotten out of this stove? And would this stove be good for a 20' diameter canvas bell tent in winter (between 18F-35F)

Titanium has alot of good properties for outdoor hiking
Why don't they tell how much things cost? So many good things but how much you have to pay and where you get them should always be included in videos.

I still use SAE for most of my stuff and luckily I work for an American company so it's not a problem for me but the younger workers get confused.
Thanks alot, yes Canadian and reading specs from the website
Can you put this in a home brick fireplace to use as emergency heat during a grid down situation? What add on if any would be needed? It seems more efficient at producing heat than my wood burning fireplace
I'm also wondering if it can be used indoors venting the pipe out of a window or such Ina emergency. You mentioned using in a tiny house. Can a curved price of pipe be made to accommodate this situation. Also , no mention of cost. Where is this made and what are the costs and shipping fr where. Thanks for posting this.
If you have a fireplace, why not just use the fireplace?
@@russbohman9577 too inefficient.
Yes, with the chimney running from the stove up the house chimney, I can't see it being a problem
Very concise and direct video, well done.
Thank you
Great directions! I want one!
It seems self evident that this beats them all
😊😊
Flu extensions? Comes with 8,,, can you put more atop to extend higher? OR will it be too cool and cause backdraft of some other issue?
I like it so much.
1st time viewer. Great review. Subscribed
Thank you very much, welcome to the channel
Now thats impressive
Nice Video. I hope Pomoly will bring a similar Titanium version
Great overview of the stove Lone Wolf - well thought out design. 👍 I was so impressed I decided to order one - it’s arriving next week. 🤣. Can’t wait to break it in.
Awsome, hope you enjoy it 🔥🔥🔥

Great review, thank you so much for this.
Nominal BTU output? Or did I miss that stat?
I have a fiberglass roof on my 2015 e350 super duty commercial vehicle I live in and don't know how I could make a hole to vent this stove? I do like it
Great video, brother! Do you think this would provide plenty of heat for the Pomoly Hex Plus 2-6 person? Or, would the Dweller Max provide better heat for temps below 30? Any input is appreciated!
Whoooaaahhh ;D Magnificent
beautiful, I'd buy one! maybe...
Go for it!
