afternoon to you,, keep up the awesome videos,,i live in north east ohio and i seen about 6 to 8 drone in n out of only 1 hive yesterday so were getting close,, thanks again jim,,
I caught one on my colonies about to swarm March 8. That is the easiest for me. They would have died due to rain and freezing weather coming after that warm spell. Charlotte NC.
Always interesting. Better to move the camera in and out rather then use the zoom on the phone or camera. Makes for a better presentation. More work but better results.
This is my 5th year and my goal is to do splits well. I dont have a ton of drawn deep frames. Is it ok to start a split in a medium? I have plenty of medium drawn frames from honey harvesting.
Yes, it is perfectly fine to use those medium frames with drawn comb. Just know if you split them into a deep super you are going to get drawn drone comb added the depth of the hive. Thanks for watching, hope this helped. #RTBBF
❤ spring is near
It is indeed! 🐝 🐝

That is awesome! Good luck to you, Jim!
Stay on those bees this year. I caught my 7th swarm this past Sunday. They came from my colonies. Thank You Jesus.
Congrats, Patrick! That's awesome.
How many hives do you have?
Thanks for your info. How early in spring are folks treating for mites and what are your treatment preferences?
Thanks
Learn something new when watching you. Awesome. Thanks
Thanks so much, Jay!
So amazing 😘
Thank you!

The weather sure plays tricks on us beekeepers. Good thing you caught them before the cold came in.
We got a extra hour of day light during daylight savings time. Gives them more time to get stuff. lol (Just a funny Comment)🐠🐠🐠🐠
Haha you're totally right. 😂 🐝
Thank you for your video it was extremely informative. I’d love to see another one where you’re actually splitting the hives.
Thanks Jesse! We have this video from the last split we filmed. Check it out!

We're sorry that our complicated camera moves don't meet your quality standards. Thanks for the tip.
