when fully locked, does the shock extends fully? If yes, how does it feel as geometry of the bike changes slightly when shox extends to its full travel (no sag etc.), especially on flat road? Thank you
@@funLad80 ahhh very very good question. I don't believe it "extends" when it's locked out. These lockouts aren't ever complete lockouts (although this one is very very close to it). So it still has a very small amount of compression when locked out which should still have you sitting in it's sag somewhat therefore probably not effecting geo when unlocked. I'm not an expert on this so don't take my word for everything. this is just from my experience on the bike. Although now that you brought this point up I'm going to test it more in depth and either get back to you here or make a video on it. I've always had this thought u brought up but never thought much of it until now. Thanks for asking
@@mtbextreme01 that would be great if you could check it 😀 I always wondered how does it work. Let's say your sag is about 20-30% of travel (depends on riding style, trails), if the shock extends fully then it would affect geometry in big way. When you check it please let me know, same when you make a video about. Many thanks!
@ alright, so i tested it and here are the results. When sitting on/riding the bike while it is in it's sag and you lock the suspension the fork and rear shock does not extend as long as the bike is weighted. However once i got off the bike/it was unweighted thats when the suspension extended and once re weighted did not returned to my normal sag level since it was locked out. not sure if this affects geo much. i also rarely use full lock expect when road riding. hope this helps. lmk if u have any more questions! always happy to help!
thoughts on twistloc: after fixing it i like it much better. although without gloves it would be quite hard to twist especially in the wet
